aminalib:YAYYYYYYYYY!!!!!! ![]() |
and there will be pictures! |
ok SO here is the deal this event is GOING DOWN you can be there or be square i will be there - even if i am there all by myself it will be a huge room full of food, drink, decorations, entertainment and you guys can stay on NL - etalking all night - while I dance, eat and drink the night away. YESS - I WILL PROVE YOU WRONG. |
aminalib and fstranger I expect to see you both on that plane with Babe and I. No is NOT AN OPTION. |
tjskii why would you not come to this? you would be laughing and screaming and dancing and clapping and have a great time. why wouldn't you come to this? you could wear a pretty party dress - you know you would have fun |
fstranger3:wowwww am i the fool? i hope you are wrong i hope that they aren't "just playing along" - I AM SERIOUS! is fstranger3 right? are you guys just playing along? if so, let me know now cause I can bow out. I am COMPLETELY SERIOUS! I say it - I do It! It might take a little longer - but it's a done deal. So if you guys are up for this - I am COMPLETELY IN ALL THE WAY who's with me? |
I understand all of that Shy-one. What I was talking about asking your man to look up venues that would be an ideal location for the party. I am sure he will not leave your side why would he invite you and leave you? Exactly. The reason I said ask him to ensure so that you know the venues he will suggest will be secured because security is number one. I am sure he will make sure everything is checked out and good to go.
You are completely right! My concern is the committee members - not feeling usurped by BFs and GFs - so I will tread delicately - he will check it out as I know how really, really thorough he is, but it is important that "the committee" determine, decide, have the final say in ALL MATTERS, etc. But you made some valid points and I definitely take note. Because he will have a MAJOR HAND in everything that I do. |
fstranger3:what are you implying?
SMH. Again a neutral venue should be ideal especially when you are inviting the entire Nairaland site. And also there are gate crashers that do pop up even if they do not RSVP or announce they will come. So having it at a house is not ideal. But that you all.
Spot On! Tosinville:50 security foot squad - 15 isn't enough - NO MARIJUANA - we will pay them (won't come out of your pocket) - have 2 four hour training sessions prior to the event - THEY are there to serve and protect with grace and decorum |
@ Tosin Sir - if you are serious and are definitely going to be an action man who is large and in charge - everyone and anyone that wants to attend should feel safe and protected by YOU AND YOUR CREW - if you have beef with someone - that shouldn't in any way be while you are on duty or as a committee member or in this thread. It is essential that you hold yourself to a higher order and a morally ethical one that is literally unmatched. Especially if you are a "Leader." Does Nigeria allow stun guns? I need to know what to pack for you walkie talkies flash lights night sticks matching uniform shirts stun guns Also a pastorial prayer prior to the event is in order as God governs all which includes the behavior of all as well. |
Hey Omoloa! Shy-one, Ask your guy in Lagos to look for places that may be a nice venue for you guys to meet up. It would be much better than looking online.
Mrs. C Trust - he won't leave my side as soon as I land in Lagos - he will assist - but the committee - I will rely heavily on those Lagosian members to assist more-so - my babe is a business owner and is expanding his operations to a level that he won't be available for this sort of preplanning. He will attend the event(s) with me once I am there but the preplanning - I will get some input from him but will more readily lean on those that are on the committee that actually live in Lagos. So far only Tosin has volunteered to be a committee member and he lives in Lagos - I hope others will step up and get involved as I am waiting to hear from at least 6-7 others who live in the area. I want to audition singers and live performers that live in Lagos. So I need people who will set those auditions up prior to Babe and I arriving. I like the 3rd week in December and I am looking at the vote to see what the majority of NL's think - The committee can hold auditions the 1st week in December. I plan on being in Lagos for 2 months - December and January for the holidays. |
Araboy:thanks so much - I will definitely take you up on your offers and will be in touch - ok? |
@ 190 yayyy for Tosin @ fstranger3 http://www.lagosstate.gov.ng/ http://www.business-travel-nigeria.com/picture-of-lagos.html |
wooowwww Texas is a death penalty state in the U.S. THEY ARE GOING TO NAIL HER AZZ to the wall my prayers are with her and families this is considered "criminal neglect" - she will be charged with manslaughter - mark my word - i hope i am wrong but i don't think so |
please tell me - if i contradicted - it wasn't intentional are you coming to the event? i don't know Lagos that is why we will need those that live in Lagos to be on the committee |
i cannot scam it isn't part of my constitution |
i am a woman i get to have little idiosyncracies - don't I? (said in little girl voice) lolololol |
I'll remind him that I'm an American Hopefully I will be able to use that on him before he gets tired of hearing it and I will have to think up something else to use so I can push my different "little Agendas" I wonder if I can get away with pretending that I can't speak English - you know what? I can't speak Yoruba so I can use that one - I can pretend that his accent is too thick and I can't understand him - I'll do that if he gets mad at me. lolololololol |
I really like the downtown Lagos area as I have seen online |
He encourages me to "be myself" I too wonder a wee bit - but he loves people and is quite active in his church - he referred me to NL - he knows he can trust me, I'm not here to meet men for me personally on a romantic level. He knows my heart is in the right place. I hope I'm right and he will be ok with this - he is much more a people person than myself and will be helping me (he works so much so he won't be available as much as I would like) but the committee members will be more than available as that is what the committee will be in place. |
190:190 - anything you can do would be greatly appreciated I do like the 3 different locations idea as well but I also think to ADD TO THAT - we should definitely do one large bash in Lagos - because not only is this an element of meet/greet/fun/party - there would also be a large portion that would be charitable in nature - a way for us to "give back" and help those less fortunate SPECIFICALLY IN NIGERIA. |
190:NL - is everybody - are you going to be on the committee or not? I have heard of Abuja - let's get the committee together to plan every detail. I saw Tosin's picture before he removed it - he looks quite capable I believe that when you hand out a "man size job" - if that person steps up to the plate - literally before your eyes a "BIG MAN is born" - who is both responsible and loyal |
Isn't that a bouncer?,
ohhh no, no, no, no - let's not demote the very important position of "head of security" to a "bouncer level" My parents owned a nightclub in the States. I have a trunk full of walkie-talkies that reach an 18 mile radius Tosin would be in communication with a squad of 20-50 plain clothes "foot security" that would quell any merry makers that get out of hand by consuming too much alcohol. That "foot security" reports to Tosin. Head of Security - gives orders, plans, takes a mature approach to the event and towards all participants and is the overseer of such - that person knows how to talk, how to walk, how to charm, how to enforce, keeps traffic moving, etc, See the difference between a mere bouncer and "head of security?" |
obowunmi:that is quite generous of you - i sincerely thank you for your generosity i was thinking that a FULL WEEKEND of different activities should be the order of the event Lekki is a great idea - it could either "kick off" the event or bring "closure" to a very fulfilling weekend For instance if the party is on Saturday - we could have a casual get together in Lekki on Friday Evening or Sunday following the Big Bash on Saturday |
@ MzD I think that is a great idea - this summer - a casual picnic in the states would be great actually |
Tosin actually would represent a large male population and age group that resides in Lagos and would be quite good on the committee. We will also need a "Head of Security" and he sounds competent and well versed in that area as well. |
190 are you on the committee or not? |
Committee Members: 1. Shy One - location: Indiana - U.S. 2. A NL Moderator (We Need One to Step Up And Volunteer Their Time 3. Tosinville - location: Lagos 4. Babe - location: Texas - U.S. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. ------------------------------ OK - we need Committee Members that actually reside in Lagos - as those individuals will know the lay of the land - and that is essential to this being a success Also: Tosin and Babe - what are your talents? I am an excellent organizer and I am extremely outspoken to arrange from a behind the scenes level (I will work well with caterers, hotel management, shopping for the event, etc) but I absolutely won't be good on a microphone addressing hundreds of people. We will need some older people on the committee as their expertise and wisdom will be priceless and essential to this event having a green light for success. |
@ Babe Of course - but only if you are serious - I am in the U.S. - but will travel We need committee members who will commit to making this a taste it, touch it, hear it, smell it event - not a wish or a dream. If you are old enough and independent (I hear that there are quite a few under age and barely 21 years of age NLs) - The committee members need to BE AT THE EVENT So please - don't volunteer if you cannot attend - money isn't an object for a COMMITTEE member as the event expenses (not personal shopping) but travel, hotel, meals will be reimbursed. Any personal shopping that isn't event related comes out of your own pocket AND WILL NOT BE REIMBURSED |
fantastic |
