Bishopkingsley: There is nothing wrong with the things we do because the Bible is filled with prosperity and miraculous events
No real man of God bases their preaching on anything apart from Jesus..
But as we preach Jesus we also combine it with being successful financially because poverty probably leads to sin and without miraculous events Bible becomes a story book.
So the observation you made is not completely true because John the Baptist lived a pure holy self righteousness life yet people Said he has a demon
Jesus came eating and drinking those same people said he was a glutton and wine drinker
So no matter what happens in church you will still find one thing to complain about O ya show me the people that Jesus made rich in the Bible when he was alive. Jesus did not shed his Blood on the cross in order for anyone to be rich and financially ok. If only you remember what Satan told Jesus when he showed Him the world and its glory, that everything is in his hand. (And he did not lie!) He told Him to worship him then everything will be given to Him. So when you centre your teaching on prosperity and worldly materials, what you're indirectly telling your church is that they should go and worship Satan. One does not necessarily need to be a Christian before he can become wealthy. You can acquire wealth as a business man, as a politician that stole public money, even as an armed robber. You don't need to ask people to receive Christ by enticing them with prosperity. What if prosperity do not come as you promised? They will backslide. When Jesus called his disciples, they were fishermen, they have caught a lot of fish. He told them to follow him, they left all the fish and followed him. Christian journey is not a comfortable one, it involves fierce fights with devil and the world. That's why it's described as a narrow path. 'In many tribulations we must enter into the kingdom of God' Acts 14:22. I am not saying poverty is what qualifies anyone for the kingdom of God but rather Christianity teaches how a rich can make heaven. See James 5. Why laying emphasis on prosperity when we don't find such example in the early church in the book of Acts or any Epistle? Please compare and contrast the messages of Jesus to the church of Smyrna in Revelation 2:8-9 and the church of Laodecians in Revelation 3 verses17&18. |

Bishopkingsley: No matter how you try to specify this verse
In Jesus you are free to do whatever is good
Now if I start to tell you the spiritual activities that occur in churches that are very miraculous it will blow your mind.
So just understand that once your in Jesus any good thing is permitted Who is saying you're not free to do whatever is good? But those observation I made in my write-up, which you consider as good due to liberty, ponder on it if they are scriptural, if they are not dangerous. |

Bishopkingsley: Your problem is that you are angry with God or your angry with me..
Because there is no place I said liberty to do sin. But I pray God heals your heart so that you can read properly
2 Corinthians 3:17 ► King James Bible Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
New Living Translation For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. This verse is actually talking about freedom from the bondage of sin and devil. Go and read Galatians 4 very well check verse 9, Read chapter 1: 28. Not the kind of liberty you're referring to which is not relevant to my post that you quoted in the first place. |
Christianity Etc › Re: ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ ISLAM Started In The Bible by siant: 10:38pm On Nov 15, 2021 |
Bishopkingsley: That your own view.
But in Jesus Christ there is liberty
Freewill to do whatever is good is permitted in Christ Liberty to commit sins, right? Keep deceiving yourself by interpreting the scripture to suit your own purpose. Can you tell me the verse of the Bible where freewill to do whatever you like in Christ can be found? |

BornofGod108: THIS IS NOT TRUE!
JESUS said in mark 16:15-16"Go into the world and preach the gospel to every creature, whosover believes and is BAPTISED shall be saved". When a person receives salvation by faith on the Lord Jesus Christ, baptism has to follow, and it is by one imersion in the name of the father, son and the holy spirit. it is not an initiation to any spirit in water but to God who created the waters. even Jesus was baptised before his earthly ministry, was he initiated?, No!, immediately he finished the baptism, the holy ghost descended on him to show you that baptism is of God!. 1 peter 2:21 says "Jesus left an example for us to follow his steps" This issue of water Baptism, in my own opinion, I don't think it is compulsory. I am not saying it is wrong or evil, but, is it a must? Perhaps, what Jesus is referring to in the Bible verse you quote here is most likely to mean inward baptism and not the ceremonial immersion in water or sprinkling. Paul made countless converts and established many churches in his ministry, yet, he confessed that he was not given the ministry of baptism but to preach the gospel. He said throughout his missionary, he couldn't remember whether he baptized any other person other than three people he named. If Paul did not baptize his converts, who baptized them? When Peter was preaching to Cornelius and his household, they all received Holy Spirit and they were speaking in tongues, even before they were baptized. Doesn't this show that they have already believed in their hearts? Which is inner baptism. The Bible says in the heart we believe unto righteousness, in the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Which means that it is the baptism of the heart that matters, not the physical sprinkling of water or immersion. As a matter of fact, I don't see where and when the 12 disciples of Christ were baptized. |

What I Like in Islam:
In the mosque, all worshippers are equal. Nobody is greater than other. No special seat for certain people as we practice in church. They will be forming line for prayer in accordance to how they first come. No unnecessary titles and position, no permanent seat for anybody. Only the imam that leads the prayer will be at the front. Even, if buhari come last he will stay at the back. No special recognition of any vip.
Unlike in many Christian churches where most of the prayer and preaching will base on prosperity, miracles, Islam will conduct their worship and prayer according to the laid down rules and regulations. Simple. No time for frivolities and irrelevant No time for obsene dancing, where the singer will dress half naked facing the congregation to show her dancing skills, no time for showy and demonstration of ego, no entertainment-like-anniversaries,
No spraying of money, no raising money up for prayer or for imam to bless it. Offering is after prayer and is not by force. There's nothing like: if you want to buy a house at lekki this year, bring 5000 and come forward to receive anointing,
Their gathering tends to be more spiritual relative to some Christian congregations. |

You have set up the right limit in any business, rich or poor.
Who gives out bike to a stranger without guarantor?
Even with the rich you have to set the right boundaries, because people would always want to go beyond boundaries.
It's even the poor that'll make you rich. You need to learn manage things properly.
You clearly want to make gain. It's business, it's not help. He's also going to make money for you. You can't be emotional about it.
These one of your life lessons. If you want to make more money hire people, rich or poor, just hire the right person cos that's your real duty as a boss.

I was dedicated, focused, honest with people that gave me their trust and I worked till my back broke. What many dishonest people don't know is that when someone gives you a little trust and you didn't abuse it, same person will give you a bigger opportunity or recommend you for a higher position.... that's the way to grow when you don't have anyone to stand in for you anywhere. It is now you used appropriate word for such people: 'dishonest people'. Even many poor people that are honest, it is their condition that make them honest. Let them be comfortable a little bit, they will show you who they really are. A true character of a man can be known when he has money. |

shortgun: There's a reason the street saying "fear who no get" will always remain valid till the end of the world. There's this mentality that poor people have, once you go into any business transaction with them they will think you have more than enough and will look for ways to cheat you and collect from the " inexhaustible" money that you have stockpiled somewhere. To them you have plenty money and losing a couple of thousands or millions won't hurt you in anyway.
They will see you as wicked or greedy when you try to recover even your capital from them not to talk of profits. I've learnt this with poor people long ago but still continued to transact with them thinking they can't all be the same. The last incident that happened made me to decide not to ever do anything business or transaction with people " wey no get" cos indeed you need to fear them.
There's a man that works as a bartender in one joint close to my residence that I use to chill. This young man is married with a kid, I liked his dedication to his work and used to admire him and we became close. He told me about his desire to own a motor bike so that he can quit the beer parlor job...due to the constant insults from his madam and his zeal to have a better life.
He said if he sees anyone that will buy him even a second hand bike on hire purchase, he will repay the money under 8 months and start off his life from there. I was really impressed by his commitment to a better life. I didn't give him any response or say anything to him that day but took his number.
The next day, I called him to come to my house and he did. When he came I showed him a brand new bike I bought for him and told him to take it and pay me weekly until he completes the payment with a little profit for me, I made him understand that there's no free money anywhere, he has to work to his way to financial progress.
The young man was shocked and speechless, he said he didn't believe I will buy him a bike not to talk of a brand new one for that matter, he said we are not even from the same state. He told me stories of how he had approached his rich relatives for the same opportunity but they keep giving him false hopes. He thanked me and drove away with the bike...he couldn't even get a worthy guarantor to stand in as surety for him for the hire purchase agreement...he called several of his relatives and it was one story to another. I told him to go with the bike without a guarantor cos I know how some relatives will not want to take responsibility when you fail, especially when you take steps they think is bigger than you.
He remitted the agreed amount for 2 weeks and told me stories on the last day of the 3rd week, how he took ill and can't meet up and promised to work harder the next week to make up for the lost week. On the 4th week he came to my house in the morning and told me tales of how the bike was snatched from him at gun point the previous day. I asked him if reported to the police and he said no.
I took him to the station for him to report the stolen bike and he was detained. Later his people came and wrote undertaking to pay up the value for the bike in 8 months, the police officers objected saying it was too far but I told them to allow it.
It's been more than 10 months now and I've not recovered my money... almost 300k for the bike not to talk of profits. I have several similar bad experiences with poor people but this one finally sealed my heart not to render any help or enter into any business deal with persons who are struggling to survive.
People will tell you of their rich uncles who have refused to help them but non of them knows or will tell you how many times their rich uncles lost money trying to lift poor relatives or friends. If I may ask, Were you poor before you became rich or you're a rich man from heaven? |

Unlike the priests who were doing the bidding of those wicked Kings, because they were afraid to die or being sacked from priesthood. Elisha was bold enough to rebuke that evil king. Nathan was not afraid to tell David his evil deed. The prophet were bold enough to tell them the truth. King Joash hated Mikiah because he always told him the truth which is bitter.
