Useless customs.
They keep running after RICE while AK-47, illegal weapon, arms and ammunition are being smuggled to the country on daily basis.
Abi where do bandits in North West, Boko Haram in North East, kidnappers in North Central, herdsmen and unknown gunmen in South get these weapons? Is AK 47 manufactured in Nigeria? Buhari himself once confirmed that these weapons were entering the country from Libya.
Customs, dss and efccc are one of the govt agencies I detest in Nigeria. |

AbdulHakeem44: Flogging a child as a form of discipline is accepted in Nigeria, it only becomes molestation when the flogging becomes too much and causes physical harm.
Flogging is part of Islamic law as a form of punishment or discipline, but never was it meant to dehumanize. No one would scold a father who beats his child to discipline him but everyone would castigate him if the beating becomes dehumanizing.
The flogging was too much is what should be condemned and not the reason they were hit.
Most of the people commenting do not have first hand information of what happened, the incomplete story spread by enemy of Islam to satisfy their Islamophobic heart is not good enough, we can do better.
Many of us born in the early 90s actually received most of this kind of punishment and that is why many in our generation are morally upright than the indomie generation we have today, but here they are hypocritically condemning the same punishment that made them morally upright.
By the way, the beating in the video was too much and should be criticized.
Addition
Many idiots already quoting me, I thought I would see someone who would argue intellectually but to my surprise, they were all dumb-heads. Didn't they see where I condemned the beating for crying out loud. These people would still condemn Islam if they had beat those kids lightly but for the sake of clubbing or partying. They will ask u what happened to freedom of movement and association. Lol. Physical assaults is a crime in International Convention on Child's Rights, in which Nigeria is a signatory. Most of Islamic laws and their ways of life are outdated. You and I know some of our culture that are no longer fashionable in today's world that are being jettisoned. I know a quoranic/ Arabic training center in Ibadan, where young children whose ages are not more than 12 attend by 8 pm to past 10 everyday. You will see many of them receiving beating of their lives for sleeping off. This is time these kids ought to be sleeping at home nah. As far as I m concerned, this is pure wickedness. Some parents are ignorant for religion nonsense. |

Modified. All race engage in ritual. But African, everyone is at risk of being used for ritual (money, appease the gods, bury the king, etc. ) It has now become a daily norm in the media.
Just imagine a senior brother killing his Junior brother. Not new tho. But I categorically say this anywhere Black is cursed.
I have never heard whites do money ritual, even the ritual they do is 1 in a 1,000. But Africa every hour someone somewhere is being killed or used for ritual no other than money. Nonsense |

Business › Re: Must I Join An Association Before Operating My Business? by siant: 9:04pm On Sep 23, 2021 |
I have been pondering on this long time ago. As far as I am concerned, I think it is illegal for these association to compel anybody to join their a associations. There is no law that establishes these associations, as in law of the state House of Assembly or Act of the National Assembly. Only the bodies that are established by the Act of the National Assembly or Law of a State House of Assembly have the authority that someone or organisation must be a member before carrying out their business . Example of such bodies are Nigerian Bar Association, Nigerian Medical Association, ICAN, Medical Laboratory Scientists, Society of Engineers, and so on and so forth. Anyone who is not licenced by these bodies and practise the profession even if he has all the qualifications is considered as fake, impersonator and illegal. But all these association of phone repairers, barber and such that compel anybody to become their member before doing their business are criminals. I saw a vulcanizer in my area, they confiscated his machine on the ground that he doesn't come to their meetings. Rubbish! Joining their association should be voluntarily, it is not that you will now forcing someone to become your member. Even, if your association is registered with CAC, that does not give you power to regulate that profession. It only shows that your gathering, meeting is legal and not illegal association. And what is the purpose of forming their associations? What are they discussing in their meetings? How to jack up the price of their services thereby oppressing their customers/consumers. Nonsense. |

Tissaia: Psalm 127:3 Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Take care of them and Raise them right. Jesus said in Matthew 18:1-5 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me."

diplomat058: Yes, The British have always been American lapdogs. Right from days of Woodrow Wilson when the US saved their parasitic ass from the fierce and furious Germans, the rest has been a case of an home boy tiptoeing his master. Even British Foreign Policy is essentially applied Anglo-American interests.
Some days ago when I read in the news that the UK is showing some muscles to China along the Taiwan straits, I laugh in Gibraltar. Surely, they dare not dare the Russians. It wont take Putin some days to remind Boris that, without the Americans, Britain and it's land amassing Queen are just an upgraded Morocco What is meaning of all these? Britain and American share similar historical, social and cultural tie quite right from time immemorial. Those who discovered America actually migrated from Britain. America see Britain as its origin, just the way yoruba towns see Ile Ife as their home. American founding fathers changed some British English words and written in order to make them (Americans) unique and have sense of being independent. Even Australia is made up of British early settlers. That is why the the country speakes British English. Today, UK remains the United States' closest ally. They consult each other, share information and formulate their policies in the same direction on global and issues. |
