Please for those who used IQAS and got nominated by OINP, was uploading your ECA report with your application enough? OINP requests that you authorize the body that issued your report to give them electronic access to the report, but I got my IQAS report some years back and only gave IRCC access to the report. OINP states that a physical copy should not be sent to them but IQAS doesn't have the option to give electronic access to anybody. They suggested that I request a physical copy be sent to OINP.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi guys.
I have volunteer work experience that lasted for more than a year. If I place that in my personal history for OINP, would it be a problem? I have paid work experience that covers my years of work experience.
Thanks

If it's within the last 10yrs, sure.

I addressed that one to the Federal Stream. Can I use the same one for a Province or do I need a letter specifically addressed to the Province? Thanks

Hi guys.
Abeg, make una no pass this question by.

I don't know if this question has been asked before and responded to, and I have tried looking for it without success, so please help me out.
Can I use old, work reference letters used in a previous express entry application in a new application? I want to use it for both PNP and the Federal express entry but I am not so sure if they'll accept it. Would it be better to get new ones?

Thanks

Hi guys.
Did anyone receive a notification of interest from Ontario yesterday?
And can anyone point me to a thread where someone successfully went through the Ontario PNP? or if there's a group. Thanks
Thank you

Make una no vex abeg.
Can you use the same reference letter for PNP and the Federal Express Entry or the two programs require different reference letters?

4 years and 2 months passed from when I received my work reference letter to when I used it. No issues at all.

Thanks for the information. That's a relief

Hello everyone, is it ok to evaluate LLM - law masters degree with WES. I am not really familiar with the IQAS process so I am not sure if I want to advise the person to use IQAS. Since it’s a masters degree already would the evaluation come back as a masters degree?

You can go ahead and evaluate your LLM with WES. It's a Master's degree and they will assess it as such.
You only use IQAS if you're assessing your LLB degree.

Hi guys.
I apologize if this question has been asked several times before. I tried searching for the answer but I didn't see it.
Is there an expiry date for work reference letters? If you've left a job and got a reference from it like 2 or more years ago, will it be accepted if you submit it for your application now?
Thanks

Please can anyone point me in the direction of a successful applicant that used the tech route for any of the provinces, particularly Ontario?
I'd be grateful. Thanks

Hi everyone. I want to share my good news (maybe?) and also ask some questions. By way of background, sometime in Feb 2020 (just before lockdown), I joined Nairaland because my EE application had just been refused for allegedly ‘claiming points for a professional degree in law’ even though my WES assessment of same indicates that it is a ‘bachelor degree in law’, and I needed all the assistance I could get. Indeed, God sent me angels from here who answered my questions and encouraged me to apply for a reconsideration/review. My application was eventually re-opened less than a month later and the hope was that we would receive PPR soon. That didn’t happen (full details on why later). So all through the covid lockdown, 2021 and half way through 2022, we heard nothing, despite several web forms raised and emails sent to addresses I obtained from the net.

You're lucky. I was in the same boat as you. Unlike you, the VO refused to reopen my application after i appealed to him or her. I read about two applicants who's applications were reopened after they initiated judicial review and the Judge found in their favour. Wish I had done the same.

Congratulations. May Canada be great to you and your family

Hi everyone. I hope you are all well?
Apart from colleges in Canada that offer diplomas in Web applications, does anyone know of a Canadian University that offers a Masters in software engineering conversion course for people with a non-computer science background?
Thanks

I have corrected the error in my initial post.

Based on the distribution of scores in the pool as at June 20, IRCC would have to issue over 20,000 ITAs for that to happen and I strongly doubt the possibility of that happening at this time. If it does, then all the better for everyone

You were close. Its 557. Its going to be a long whole embarassed embarassed

Even with a system glitch, it'll never fall to that. The draw today may likely fall between 420 and 430 if IRCC maintains the 4,500 pre-COVID invitations

Most people have said it will be from 480 and above for this draw and the next few draws

Oh really. Then it's sad.

Truth is we need people in Canada. I am in recruiting here and the market is bleeding. Loads of work but no one to do it. And it's worrying IRCC is dragging their foot on this process.

They shouldn't be too worried. The UK and and US will soon gather sense and leap frog them as destination for foreign skilled workers. Den peson eye go tear

There'd have to be a glitch in the system for the score to fall this low

If this is about ECA for Bachelors of Law rejection.......... There are 2 judicial cases where 2 different judges lambasted VOs for not awarding the points for professional degree and instead rejected the applications by reducing CRS when they awarded points for Bachelors. If this is the case no issues at all IMO. LOE should be included and print these judgements for the new application."

Thanks for your response. I actually got rejected on this basis. People here told me to do IQAS (which I eventually did after I got rejected) but I did strong head and went ahead with my WES report. I remember I messaged IRCC on Facebook to ask if it was okay and they said yes. I attached the message they sent me and took screen shots of the page talking about a Law degree being a First Professinal degree and wrote an LOE explaining why I picked FPD even though my WES report stated otherwise. The wicked VO still rejected my application.
COVID now happened and time has now gone.
I wish I had applied for judicial review *shakes head*

If your application was rejected and you're invited to create a new one, will the VO check and compare your previous application with the new one?
Thanks

Thanks Dinma and braine. Age is not on my side again. I wish they could stretch the maximum points given for age from 20-30 to at least 35. Locking it at 30 disadvantages so many people

Is it true scores for FSW draws starting on July 6th will likely start from, and continue to be at 500, for about 6 months?
Thanks

International Graduate Streams are a pathway to securing a PNP. In some provinces, they have a separate program for graduates of master's and PhD i.e Ontario Masters Graduate Stream etc. In some others, they give a graduate of any post secondary education (Dip, AdvDip, AS. BS) opportunities to apply to their International Graduate Stream i.e Newfoundland and Labrador International Graduate Stream, British Columbia International Graduate Stream etc.;while some only allow graduates of post graduate studies (PGD/PGC, Masters, PhD) i.e BC International Post-Graduate Stream.

You need to research additional conditions attached. Some provinces require a job offer in addition while some don't.

Thank you for your response

Hi guys.
I hope everyone is okay?
I apologise in advance if this question has been asked and answered.
Can a student who studies for a Diploma in Canada apply for the graduate student stream for provincial nomination in any of the provinces?
I checked Ontario but their graduate student stream is meant for Masters and PhD students. Can one still apply for that or are diploma students disqualified?
Plus are there any provinces that accept Diplomas for their graduate student stream?
Thanks

Keep searching. Join WhatsApp groups so that you can receive update and be part of the group search team. If you are within 60 days of your resumption, apply for an emergency appointment.

Thank you for responding. Do I email the embassy for an emergency appointment or is there an option like that on the embassy website?
Thank you

Hi guys. I'm sorry if this question has been answered but I need to ask. Still going through all the pages of this section.
I heard its very difficult to get student visa appointment dates. Is it possible to get one between now and the end of July?
What's the best strategy to get an appointment?
Thanks for answering

Hi guys. Long time no see. Glad to see PR is still dropping for most people and their Canadian dreams are being fulfilled.

I need advise. Would it be better for a person who's over 31 to still pursue PR via express entry or just go through the school route? I know FSW is going to resume in July but age is against me and I'd probably need to write the TEF exam or get a job to boost my score. I read online the points that'll be needed from July maybe 500 and above for a while.

Any advise would help. Thanks

Ok thanks for always being there for us. God bless you.

Another question: If one has bsc + 3 years work experience and now just got master's with no post masters experience, can the person still claim 3 years work experience with the masters as the highest certificate?

Yes, you can go ahead, so long as the experience was gained in the past 10 years

According to Uche 13. If you try this. You are on your own. Pls DONT SUBMIT PASSPORT RATHER NOTIFY IRCC VIA WEBFORM SO THAT THEY CAN PROCESS ALL PASSPORT INCLUDING NEW BORN TOGETHER. DONT GO AND MESS UP AND REGRET.

I'm really tired about the "advise" people give on this platform and the questions people ask.
The first port of call for this issue is to contact IRCC. Why would you submit passports or wait till birth has occured before notifying them? E get as e be on this forum sha
