cutiep:I don't think it will be a problem. Truth be told, with Trump in the WH, those Border agents are crazy these days but so long as you have your COPR and you explain to them your plans, you should be fine. You could also ask this question on the "Living in Canada" thread to get a better response. As to your luggage, there are various options you could probably find at the airport. I heard Air France and co do courier services with baggage. Or you could also ask at NAHCO. It just depends on your budget. Good luck with your plans |
Omowunmibaby:Theres a man on the "Living in Canada" thread, who stated he had been refused several visas to Canada but he got PPR. He landed in Canada this year. It won't be a problem. Each application is assessed on its merits. Don't worry yourself about your past applications |
teriluv:If he denies you or the information (documents) are incorrect, you'll be banned for 5 years from applying for misrepresentation |
teriluv:I think you can, so long as he is not sponsoring you. I read if you didn't add the name of a family member during an application, you can never sponsor that person again. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong. |
bekayy:At bold ![]() |
Supernatural198:As has been said over and over again, you can check page one for all the information you've asked for. You must read the Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada website for PR. People provide false or misleading information (most times innocently) and that can put you in a whole lot of trouble. Seeing as your husband has a degree and work experience, he should be qualified to apply. The level of his degree and the number of years he's worked for will further determine if he will receive an ITA to apply. If he's worked as a Plumber, I think that falls under Federal Skilled Trade and not Federal Skilled Workers, the latter of which most people apply for. You have to check the IRCC website to confirm. You have to check if plumbing is one of the careers that fall under whichever program you guys will apply for and the NOC number. To start, he has to get an ECA (Educational Credential Report) for his degree and also has to sit the IELTS exam. But make sure you determine his work and which program he falls under before starting. If you have any further questions, you can ask here. |
TYPOP:I think you should upload it and explain in an LOE the circumstances of your case. Oyinbo people can be lenient at times. As long as it wasn't your fault, you could get a pass |
oge966:No. Your highest degree is what's required for maximum points. You won't get any extra points for adding your BSC. You may add it though for work purposes if your application is approved so you dont need to assess it later though |
WaleCanada:Or, he/she can write an LOE stating why he/she hasn't attached the document (it must be a cogent reason in order for this to work though) and promise to do so at a not-so-distant later date by uploading it throught a CSE. Someone did this with their PCC from Cyprus in thread 8. Its risky but with the increase in CRS scores, he/she may not get another ITA this year. Best to use this opportunity. But remember that incomplete documents may lead to rejection of your application, so weigh your options. |
Vetilicious:She still has to show proof she has the sole custody of the child. This means the Father will have signed over custody of the child to the mother. You need a Lawyer. |
Prisscindy:This is a false mindset we need to drop. Nigerians were great even before the white man came. The Benin Kingdom was so well regulated and run that even the British were amazed. Their own country was dirty and crime ridden, so they were shocked that black people could live so well. There was nothing like crime back then and people lived in harmony and settled their cases in a civilised manner. Benin Kingdom is just one example of this. |
ednut1:They will never end. Lol |
Ogerich22:Was your account hacked? You know the website, so why are you asking people to help you find it? ![]() |
NOMICS1:You can go to page 1 to find this out but anyway. You need one continuous year (12m) of experience in a profession to qualify. 3 years or more gives you the max points for foreign nationals under work experience. For proof of experience as a self employed person, you need to show documents like the CAC registration of a company, tax returns, references from your customers etc. There maybe more documents but you can check on page 1. If you have at least 3 years experience as a Lawyer, you can use that instead of your business. Plus if you haven't assessed your law degree, use IQAS because Law degrees have the same points as a Masters degree which will boost your points. IQAS designates Law degrees as First Professional Degrees |
kk2003:I had to modify my answer. As an asylum seeker, your application for asylum must be approved by Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) or IRCC. If the asylum seeker isn't designated as a protected person, then no, the person cannot apply for PR because I believe they don't yet have a legal right to reside in Canada. You can read this page and find out more about it: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/guide-5205-applying-permanent-residence-within-canada-protected-persons-convention-refugees.html |
kingkhalil:Well, you should place the degree first but I don't think it matters. So long as it's there, the VO should see it |
kingkhalil:Under the section for your degree. You have to merge the documents because there's only one placeholder. Use the camscanner app or ilovepdf.com |
Omoolope2023:Edit this post please. It's made this page too long. |
NeneSisi:Looking at this thread, I doubt they will. These scammers thrive on people refusing to do their research and being gullible and desperate. A personal journey like this should be taken seriously and all the facts should be known but people still won't do their research. To each his/her own I guess |
ladymarshall:Congratulations! God came through for you. ![]() |
Influential101:Very important question. Lol. Few are |
bekayy:Apparently you don't need to upload scans of your old visas and stamps. I was under the assumption that you did |
etrange:I was lead to believe you are supposed to but if this is the case then no wahala. Thanks for the update |
Pwinkle1:If/when you receive ITA, you will have to list the foreign countries you've travelled to in the last 10 years or since you were 18 (which ever comes first) under Personal History. If you have travelled, you must scan the pages of your passports that include visas and stamps that correlate with the trips you've stated. This means scanning old passports (and the data page too). The only time you don't do this is if you haven't travelled in which case, you just scan the data page of your current passport. Just thought I'd correct this misinformation I've been seeing Update Apparently you don't need to upload visas and stamps from an old passport. I thought you needed to. |
sammirano:I'm sorry but your statement plus the photo made me laugh. I'm actually in tears ![]() On a serious note, you should contact them immediately and sort it out. |
[quote author=AryaEgugu post=82773650]Nigerians are always all up in their feelings. Sound advise is now an attack. If anyone is offended by what I said then its probably your conscience telling you I'm right but you're too sensitive to accept it. I'm not the first person and I won't be the last to complain about this. You used the correct word "initiative". Everyone coming to this thread should use it. It will make this thread more productive and efficient and we'll all learn as a result. I cannot pass repeated questions when it's in my way of looking for advise that will help me with my goal. Repeating questions is as good as spamming the thread and it helps no one. Do your research and we'll all benefit as a whole. It's that simple |
AryaEgugu:You seem to be missing the point. You can ask questions that have never been asked or better yet, go through/search the threads or even do a simple Google search for your questions. If you can't find them, come here and ask. It is irritating when you see the SAME questions over and over and over and over again. The same question has been answered probably over the entire 8 threads of this EE thread but someone will come and ask again. The thread then loses its value because you're not seeing or gaining anything new. Simple instruction of going to page one, people don't want to do. Stop enabling spoon feeding. There are people here who've gone through all 8 threads sef. Do they have two heads? Nobody (including myself) is being arrogant when we say just do small research before you come here and ask questions. |
PopularGingo:Its actually very frustrating and it's why this section is so long. I never knew Nigerians were this bad till I came to Nairaland. They just don't like to do research. Like Ednut said, it's become boring now, seeing the same questions again and again. You guys should do better please |
elizyous:Nigerians sha. You're the one that has to show proof of familial ties, not them. We're talking birth certificates, family photos etc. You can't manufacture that and they will find out. Best to save yourself problems and look for another option |
