oseoji: Typical gaslighting. Is it the system that raises hands for a partner to be beaten up? Is it the system that causes a partner to batter a person's mind relentlessly? The family has already been destroyed by the abuser so why is the government being blamed?
Abuse is abuse, there's no IF ,AND or BUT.
The person benefitting from the police being called is the one who has suffered emotional, physical or psychological damage and rightly so.
A person who is able to get away from an abusive partner should be congratulated for being strong enough to leave.
Children suffer so much damage by watching their parents go at each other constantly, you produce unhappy children who repeat the same cycle thinking it is normal.
If a woman or man decides to use Canada as an opportunity to revenge,it's not anyone's place to chastise them. Do you know what they suffered?
If you treat a whole human being like shit for years and years and they bear it because of being in the Nigerian society, when they move to Canada and see they deserve better,it's only expected that the person will act out.
The guilt does NOT lie at the foot of the abused!
All these una statements are the reason why people die in abusive situations..There is only so much that a human being can take without breaking down.
Anyone who is abused should seek counseling for themselves to gather strength to move on.It is not your job to hold brief for your abuser.
You deserve better, your children deserve to grow up in a healthy happy home. Couldn't have said it any better. Stop supporting abusers. Help the abused and let us teach our children now that abusive behaviour towards women isn't tolerated and is very wrong. Too much rubbish is allowed to thrive in Nigeria because we've been indoctrinated to believe it's okay. Thankfully, nations like Canada have robust laws that protect everyone's rights and those laws are actually enforced. Either you act right or you face the law. Shekena |

Faithyyyyy: Dear,
I think the general idea is to encourage everyone to follow through the process as best as they humanly can. Be it adding another language, rewriting IELTS exams, or an additional certification.
Let us be more optimistic and stop making people feel miserable. I look forward to refereeing to this post when those with 440 get ita.
IRCC must meet it's quota. We are here to help them do so. They should use us to meet it. congratulations to us all in advance. It will work out for our good. God bless you for your optimism. May oil never run dry on your head |

What équivalence does IQAS give for ond/hnd ? Thanks in advance . I think IQAS also requests for applicants to use ETX-NG for the time being due to COVID-19. You can call them to clarify |

Daboll: Good morning house, please will like to ask. I’m a lawyer, IQAS evaluates the degree as a professional degree, I have an MBA aswell, can I evaluate both to her higher points? Does having 2 masters give you more points? Or just same. Please ? No it doesn't. Read the IRCC website on degree assessment and the points awarded for them. Just assess your MBA. Its enough |

Jackiechan2020: Hello all,
I have just submitted my application and realised that I did not upload my Wes certificate along with my MSc cert...will this affect my application? Your application will be cancelled for being incomplete. Raise a CSE and upload the two of them. You have to merge them because there's only one placeholder for documents for CSE |

For the Lawyers in particular, and people in general, IQAS has resumed assessing degrees for immigration purposes to Canada. Lawyers, please use IQAS (to assess your LLB) and forget about WES (unless you have a Masters, then you can use WES) in order to avoid stories that touch. They are accepting electronic transcripts from Universities due to COVID-19, so contact your institutions to send it to them. |

19CannyMum: My brother or sister truth be told, it's not worth it at all. Please stay in Nigeria.
It's only worth it for those that don't have doubts. If you know you're having doubts don't bother at all. The stress here is too much, life is hard etc. Even the air we're breathing is taxed. Please just stay in naija and be managing the small small stress there, it's nothing compared to canada stress. |

Thanks I don't believe we have common law partnership under the law in Nigeria. I maybe wrong but I think the law only recognizes traditional and Court/Chruch/Mosque wedding. If that's the case, it's not something you can prove. Someone that knows more about this should add their voice though |

jancollins: If you check well.. I said Muslim Guy
Saw below Online..
Canada: All forms of polygamy, and some informal multiple sexual relationships, are illegal under section 293 of the Criminal Code.Bigamy is banned by section 290. However, for a long time, the law banning polygamy has not been efficient.
The guy i said got PR with his 2 wives may have found a way around it knowing fully well the law has not been efficient. The inability to enforce the law is for people who live in Canada, not for foreigners. There's no way a visa officer will see that an applicant has two wives and will approve their application. Unless the man used jazz to blind them. It is a criminal act and it's not something that I believe will be waived under normal circumstances. This story you read is most likely false |

Kekereekun123: there is nothing new in express entry for like 4 years now. so i don't know what new information you are looking for You won't see it because the page is cluttered by unnecessary questions. People here have provided details on their unique situations and what they did differently to meet the requirements of CIC in order for their application to be approved. There was the lebsian couple, or the man who adopted his niece, or another guy who had his application rejected, appealed and then got PPR etc. Those are the types of information that are useful and help others who maybe in the same situation. Instead we get people asking about whether they should assess OND and HND, which assessment body is the best, whether WES still requires WAEC, how do you compute your CRS score and other things that have been answered over and over again. A simple search on Google or the CIC website will answer these questions or just looking at page one but no, people want to be spoon fed. It's so tiring |
