Remicynt:Its rare for the marks to change for Listening and Reading because they're mcq but you can try your luck. Depending on whom you wrote it with, you can give it a go. If it's with MOD, it may be better for you to rewrite because to pay that remarking fee, have your scores unchanged and lose that money will be painful |
Ibukunstar:No. You need a degree for EE. You can get a study visa if you secure a school for undergraduate studies. Its expensive but you can get a scholarship if you try. If you're married and your wife has a degree with work experience, she can apply |

I'm sorry for your loss. May your brother's soul rest in peace and may the Lord comfort you and your family. Your faith is inspiring and I pray the Lord will do wonders for you in Canada and beyond. Congratulations and God speed |
Kaygirl33:I saw someone who got theirs in 28 days. Back in the early days i.e 2017, it was quite quick. |
DonFreshmoney:Reducing the quote leaves more space for new information to be shared on the page. Its irritating when people unnecessarily quote long write ups we've seen already. Be guided please |
Icecreamy:Congratulations. Yours is the shortest I've seen in recent times |
jjohndoe83:If you find one, @ me please |
ednut1:Canada was trending yesterday after the Tories won and it wasn't British people of Indian descent I saw tweeting. Like us here in Naij, not everyone will qualify for it, but those who have the means will. Canada has their type of system and they will be drawn to that prospect |
With the Tories winning yesterday in the UK, it looks like Canada will get alot of attention from the British. I pray God will allow us enter soon oh |
Titaness:I've responded |
aremso:You made it your business when you said she can't walk this journey alone, meaning she needs her husband to scale through this process which is totally false. Imagine suggesting an adult stop a life changing decision just because you feel shes unable to achieve a simple process on her own. Did she tell you her soon to be ex-husband wants to move to Canada? Abi she will just walk up to him one of these days and say "babe, abeg let's stop this divorce proceeding. I need these scores for Express Entry, so go and write IELTS and assess your degree, afterwards we can continue this process in court. You're the best babe *muah'*". I really don't understand how Nigerians think. It baffles me |
aremso:So, she should stop divorce proceedings in court because of Express Entry score? Or am I missing something? |
CanadianBae:Are you sure? Tie-break rule only applies if your score is the exact same as the minimum score for the ITA round. If there are two or more people with the same score, the last person to create their profile won't qualify for the draw. I think you should wait till the end of the day to receive the email. Others can chime in to correct me. |
Can someone link me up with the September AOR WhatsApp group? Thanks |
gsade:I believe I've read about people whom WES assessed LLB and Law school certificate as two or more certificates |
gsade:We are in the same boat oh. I read on Canadavisa about Lawyers who used WES and still got PPR. They just explained with LOE about the disparity and what IRCC says about Law degrees. Some people here said it won't work because its misrepresentation but how can it be misrepresentation when their government states otherwise? Glad to see proof of this from a Nigerian here. Granted this didn't work for everyone but I did this too and I'm praying for a positive outcome. God dey |
RomStar01:Ehen, where is Tina? I've forgotten her handle. See a Lawyer that claimed points for First Professional Degree even though WES evaluated it as a 4 years Bachelor Degree. I did the same thing. I pray my outcome will be like yours. Thanks for the confirmation and congratulations again. |
RomStar01:Congratulations. I'm guessing WES didn't equate your degree to a First Professional Degree. Just to confirm, you still claimed points for First Professional Degree on your application abi? |
ednut1:I heard obtaining Law School certificate ain't easy, as with all things in Nigeria ![]() |
gsade:If its LLB and Law school certificate, it will be evaluated as two or more certificates. I made a mistake. LLB on it's own will be evaluated as a 4 years Bachelors degree by WES even though it isn't |
Shinningstar201:You're correct. I thought I saw only LLB degree |
ednut1:My bad. I thought I saw only LLB. You're correct. |
Edmontonlad:Had to modify my answer. With LLB and Law school certificate it's two or more certificate. Sorry for the previous response I gave |
zohan101:I was wondering as well. Aside Software Engineering, every other branch of engineering involves heavy mathematics (I think). Best to go with a programme that doesn't involve too much maths |
Hello all. After about a month and a half (could be more. Lol) of reading, I've finally caught up with this thread. I'm still post AOR but I'm praying and hoping to receive PPR before the end of the year. I've learnt so much from this thread and I want to thank you all for your contributions. You're stars and may God bless you guys. Okay, back to reading mode. Enjoy winter ![]() |
GARRIYELLOW:Physiotherapy is not one of the degrees that's assessed as First Professional Degree. You can't use it to claim Master's degree points. |
Eraytee:Lool. Nigerians are funny people. "Renewal of vows" is different from "remarrying". Renewal of vows is a celebration of a couples marriage and it is not legally binding. When you remarry, it is most often a different person, and a new marriage certificate is issued. You don't know the difference and you're here doubling down on this false, ignorant information. You need to do your own research on the matter before you get in trouble. No go carry this mindset go Canada oh. E no go good for you.
|
Eraytee:Under which law is it allowed please? Doing this would be even worse than failing to inform them about the marriage before he landed. That would be clear cut misrepresentation with the intent to deceive to change their outcome. Let us not use this platform to push wrong/illegal activity. Plus I suggest you keep the fact that you have two marriage certificates to you and your husband. Such information can land you in trouble |
Hello good people of this forum— Please I need answers to the following questions: 1. Do we have to be a professional Engineer in other to get Engineering jobs in Canada? 2. If yes; is it generic for a Petroleum Engineer? 3. Can my being a member of Engineers Australia be directly transferred to Engineers Canada? Is this the same as been a professional Engineer? 4. Are there dedicated sites or forums on here for Petroleum Engineers looking for jobs in Canada? 5. My COPR city of destination is Edmonton. Does that mean I have to land at Edmonton and not say Calgary for example? 6. Which cities in Canada have the best prospects for a petroleum engineering job? You can ask these questions on the "Living in Canada" thread. There are lots of Engineers there who've answered questions on career prospects for Engineers in Canada. It's one of the regulated careers and I believe you will have to write their exams before you can practice there. As to 3, I saw an article about a Nigerian Engineer who worked in Australia and was able to get his experience recognised in Canada. I'm sure if you ask on that thread or use Google, you'd find answers to 4 and 6. As to 5, if you didn't go through the PNP route (if you weren't sponsored by the Province of Alberta) you can land and live anywhere in Canada except for Quebec because they have their own immigration program. You can choose to live in Quebec afterwards though Modified: You can land in Quebec. IRCC answered a person who asked on Twitter |
MJKJ:Loooooooool ![]() |
ednut1:On the "Living in Canada" thread, I read a story about a woman who received an ADR to prove she worked in her office by taking photos of it. She did it during her company's Christmas party. It is well. Lol |
Victorex001:You do know that this is an open forum and immigration agents peruse these platforms right? This is why it's a major hurdle for Nigerians to get visas to foreign countries or why Nigerians in general are distrusted because people like you feel you can pull a fast one and deceive immigration agents. Nigerians who have genuine work and credentials are denied visas at an alarming rate because your kind have made foreign countries believe all we do is lie and take advantage of systems. In this process, all that you submit must be genuine. You don't work for your Uncle and yet you want to basically lie that you do. If you have a keke business, why not use that? Many self-employed people on this platform have applied and gotten their applications approved. Please don't add further to the headache Naija people receive daily. The country is messed up and people are trying to jakpa. No come pour sand for our garri and please desist from asking questions of deception. Thanks |
And also proof of funds of 12k. People wey still dey owe student loans. Can't happen . Its british with indian descent that are look at ee
