Can anyone here point me to a thread for people who were unemployed for a year or more and still applied? What did they write for job reference and proof of funds? Thanks
Also, do CIC frown upon work experience with family members or reference letters from family members?

Hello all,

I got LRSW 7,6.5,7,6.5 IELTS this morning and when I calculated using CRS I got 389 (a family of 3).

Please is there any PNP that can send me NOI with this score?

I am 28 years with Master's degree and 4 years experience as Computer and information systems managers (NOC 0213).

Do you advise I create EE profile?

Thank you.
If you have not assessed your degree, assess your Masters which will give you the maximum 135 points. That should push your score over 400, then try and resit the IELTS exam. Create the profile after you've don't both

I get your point. However, note that the VO did not reject his ECA result, which should be the outcome of using the wrong evaluating body. The recalculation naturally suggests that they recognised his ECA for what it is and could only modify his point to match what his ECA suggested.
I see what you're saying. Well, I shall see how it goes smiley

Your CRS will be recalculated. I read a similar story on Facebook. Dude evaluated his Pharmacy degree with WES and got Bachelor's degree evaluation but claimed points for professional degree (which he would have gotten if he evaluated with PEBC) . His CRS was recomputed and he fell below the cut off point for the draw of his ITA.
Medicine and Pharmacy have special bodies to assess their degrees, which is probably why his score was reduced. No particular body has been specified to assess Lawyers degrees.
Thanks for the information though

Hello I am a Lawyer. I used both WES and IQAS only because I had started with WES before I found out IQAS was better because they evaluated as a ‘first professional degree’. WES evaluated as a ‘bachelors degree’ only. The major deciding factor is how many points you need to get ITA. If your WES evaluation has given you enough points as you have created a profile, then you have no issues. Is it clear?
Thanks but I think I'll stick with my initial plan. I'll go ahead with my WES and see how it goes.

Mine finally came on Monday after almost 4weeks. It paid off in the end though as writing changed from 6.5 to 7.5
Eh? I thought they couldn't increase the score over 0.5? They gave you a whole 1 point extra? I've been mislead then

What is the equivalent of your degree in Canada according your WES report?
4 years Bachelor degree but the CIC website states a law degree is equivalent to a Masters/Professional degree. I don't know why WES continues to assess Law degrees this way. I've read some people picked the Masters/Professional degree option on their profile and also chose to state that's what their WES report said even when it didn't. They attached an LOE to their application. I want to do the same but I just want to find out if any Nigerian's with Law degrees have done the same.

Hello house,
Pls I am new here, I have my ECA report for M.sc ready, I am preparing for IELTS( Aug). I want to ask if evaluating my B.sc too will increase scores eventually or just the highest degree (M.sc). Thanks
You will get the maximum points with your Masters degree. No need to evaluate your bachelor's degree

evaluate law school
but I still have to drop another $215
I've read some people still used WES and stated that the report gave them professional degree assessment but they explained in a letter with their application why they did that and it was accepted

Hi everyone. I'm a Lawyer and I've created my express entry profile. I wasn't aware about how CRS worked, so I used WES to evaluate my law degree. I've now learnt it's better to use IQAS because it states that a law degree is a professional degree on the report.
I want to know if any Lawyers used WES and were still successful with their PR application and what steps I can take to use my WES report because I really don't want to spend more money doing an IQAS report and waiting that long for it to be evaluated. Thanks
