Wizprodigy:#9 billion is more than $9 million....... So I wonder why u think the former is possible but the later is not....stop allowing big numbers to confuse u. $9 million or #9 billion worth of industrial starch export is very much feasible...... Nigeria exported $800 million worth of cocoa products in 2014. |
TheArchangel:U are just clutching at straws...... Call your nurse colleagues in the us.... They will tell u internal medicine is a specialty while cardiology is a sub-specialty. I ve had enough of this....... I won't honor with a reply again. |
TheArchangel:Just drop it, u are threading in unfamiliar territory and u re simply moving in circles. Even ur new info supports my assertion. Your problem is u re ignorant of residency training in nigeria and u re not willing to learn. Now look at what u posted, add up the duration of both specialty (residency) n sub-specialty (fellowship) for each training program, what u get is 6-7 yrs for each. That's exactly the number of yrs to complete residency training and receive ur fellowship in Nigeria. According to ur report, a doctor who wants to be a cardiologist in the us will complete 3 yrs residency training in internal medicine, become an attending and then proceed for another 3 yrs sub-specialty training in cardiology. A doctor in Nigeria who wants to be a cardiologist will train as a jnr registrar in internal medicine for 3 yrs n then spend an extra 3 yrs as a senior registrar training as a cardiologist. They both spent 6 yrs to become a cardiologist n receive their fellowship award. The 3 yrs the us doctor was working as an attending, the naija doc was working as a snr registrar. Isn't it obvious both career cadres are equivalent. I told u earlier that a WACP snr registrar can be employed as a specialist in district hospitals. Pls, stop behaving like typical johesu people...... Learn to bow to superior argument. Neither registrar nor snr registrar are students |
nelszx:Residency in Laboratory medicine has been in existence before any industrial court ruling. WACP n NPMCN are established by law. An ignorant judge cannot repeal that. Besides nobody wants to do your job, all we are saying is when on strike don't lock up the laboratory. It's not ur personal property. U guys are not the only ones using the laboratory, we have the laboratory technicians too, u know. Allow those who wants to work to function. |
TheArchangel:I strongly suspect a resident doctor jilted u and broke ur heart for u to go this personal...... Pele.....but the truth is a lot of resident doctors and nurses get married every week, urs just didn't work out. Don't be too bitter and stop hating resident doctors. What u posted corroborated what I wrote. In the us, residency training is 3-4 yrs, after that u become an attending physician also known as a specialist. After this, the attending may wish to proceed for his fellowship by going for sub-specialty training. Completion of this sub-specialty training makes u a fellow in the us. Now in Nigeria, we regard our consultants as fellows because they completed a residency program with the medical colleges that awarded them a fellowship certificate. The 6 years residency training in Nigeria comprises 3 yrs of specialty training and another 3 yrs of sub-specialty. Thus attending and senior registrar are the same thing. |
nelszx:Resident doctors and consultants in laboratory medicine- haematologists, chemical pathologists, clinical microbiologist, and histopathologists. |
TheArchangel:Residency training in the us is 3 yrs after completion u become an attending physician. U are deemed a specialist and can practice as one or go for sub-specialty. Residency in nigeria is 6 years. 3 yrs as a junior resident And then 3 yrs as a senior resident when u go for ur sub-specialty. Pls argue with fact, the internet is free for use otherwise stop quoting me. |
TheArchangel:U can perform a procedure outside of ur training Hospital and without ur consutant's supervision, so long as u are familiar and prove competent in the said procedure. This is mainly based on the number of such procedure the resident has performed successfully in the past. That's what count and it's a standard practice all over the world. Go and read about locum among resident doctors in the Aussies and uk, that's how they complement their low pay. |
nelszx:I ve worked in 3 federal establishments, laboratory doctors process samples during johesu strikes. Nobody stops them, management don't tolerate such nonsense. I remember when some MLS tried it in the FMC I worked, SSS was invited to arrest them for vandalizing govt properties. Besides why should u take away lab keys when u are on strike. Are the labs ur personal property? When doctors go on strike, they don't lock up the Wards or clinics, whoever is interested in taking over is free to do so. If u guys think u are indispensable, leave the lab open and watch whether it won't function. Don't worry, u guys should Continue this silly trend, and see privatisation take over. |
TheArchangel:residency training is an opportunity for advanced medical training in a specialty area of interest. Resident are medical doctors with a license to see and attend to patients. they are liable and can be sued for incompetence because they are doctors and not students. senior registrars in Nigeria is the equivalent of an attending specialist in the us and high level of autonomy and competence is expected from them in that specialty. In fact a SR with west Africa college of physician can work as a consultant/specialist in a district hospital. please go and read about residency training in Nigeria because its obvious u are in the dark. |
nelszx:u are the one lying to the public. during johesu strikes laboratory doctors take over the labs. the cmd do not support that nonsense of locking the doors and going away with the key. there's nothing they do in blood bank that haematologist cannot perform. |
All this one na story...... The real question is can he read the budget..... Can buhari interpret what's written in the budget..... If not, then the same embarrassment will keep reoccurring. |
joseph1832:The original article exposed her pictures for the world to see......... So I don't get what you are talking about. |
nnokwa042:Obama became american president by virtue of his mum's nationality. Ramsey noah dad is an isreali yet Ramsey is a nigerian by virtue of his mum. Yvonne okoro of ghana movie industry has an igbo father but claims Ghanaian because of her mum. The eku edewor I told u to browse about has an english dad. Tiffany potter's dad is igbo but she runs for u.k because her mun is British. People of mixed ethnicity/race tend to choose the nationality they best identify with. Its not ur duty to choose for them. All the examples u sited above are irrelevant because it's still the same nationality, they remain nigerians. Let nigeria splits and see how the story will change. I never said kidjo's dad is yoruba, I don't know what brought that up. |
nnokwa042:I hope u know u can claim your mother's country of origin as your nationality.........it's not a one way thing, its quite flexible. browse these people, eku edewor and tiffany potter. As regarda angeline kidjo, her mother is of the ethnic Yoruba people in benin republic and not Nigeria. |
But zika virus has been with us in naija since 1978.... How come we've been experiencing population explosion...... They said the same thing about HIV...... Yet 50% of africans are under 30......breeding like rats. |
InvertedHammer:pls, go through the initial thread and read the police deposition on the case. that deposition is explicit and clearly showed the couple committed visa fraud and something very close to human trafficking. they are not in anyway innocent, they deliberately took advantage of her ignorance and illiteracy and exploited her. the US police said the nanny could neither read nor write Igbo or English very well, but the couple forced her to sign a contract she couldn't understand the contents. At the US embassy in Nigeria, the couple spoke for her and lied that she was 58 yrs old and was going for a visit. They brought two toddlers from Nigeria along with that nanny, tell me what else will they bring her to do apart from caring for the children. when the nanny went missing and the husband filed a case of missing person, he admitted to the police he was in custody of her passport and that it had expired. Tell me, why will she escape without her passport if not that they denied her access to the documents. look here, don't try to exonerate the couple, they knew what they were doing. that someone is an illegal immigrant doesn't give u the right to exploit and treat her inhumanely. if u cant help her, then leave her. |
sorry is that allowed in boxing bout I mean, the contestant receiving verbal instruction from his coach while the match ongoing |
InvertedHammer:so it was the Nigerian community that told the couple to pay her $100 per month....... it was the Nigerian community that urged them to commit visa fraud and deliberately allow the woman overstay her visa. as I deposited earlier...... if u cant do the time then don't do the crime....... |
But some people in the earlier thread said the whole brouhaha is just mere accusation and that they may escape conviction........ This one that the woman is already in prison uniform and in chains, yet they never sentence them. Nigerians abroad should simply heed the advice of aribisala on the other thread......what u cannot finish, don't start. And lalastica.....pls front page help Nigerians both home and abroad know that crime doesn't pay..... If u can't do the time.....then don't do the crime. |
grandstar:biotechnology is an high tech industry......... most countries involved are advanced economies....... it's not for middle or low income economies........ it involves a lot of research and development, and Nigeria is not cut out for that yet....... biotechnology application include genetic engineering, genetic modified foods, pharmacogenomics, gene therapy, bioinformatics, biofuels, industrial biotechnology etc our knowledge in basic and advanced genetics is too poor for us to have any competitive edge in this industry....... Nigeria should first learn how to produce pencil, toothpick, spoon and steel before dabbling into above pls mention one industrialized country that lacks a steel industry.......just one dangote and co are avoiding it because govt is yet to come up with a detailed blueprint on steel manufacturing in Nigeria let the govt repeat what they did in the cement industry in steel and see whether dangote will not take advantage........ Govt protected the cement industry from cheap imports and that enabled the industry to thrive and perform well......... and we can all see the result today........ the price of cement is coming down, we no longer import cement and we even export to west African countries. |
omohayek:sorry I don't seem to get ur point..... are u saying we should abandon steel production in Nigeria because of cheap imported ones from china........ then we can as well abandon manufacturing in this country since Chinese products will always be cheaper....... the way some people reason, u go fear.......yet u came here and called Nigerians ignorant. Russia churns out 70 million tons of steel every year with the same soviet-era technology..... and 100 years old blast furnace still exist in Europe churning out steel. even if ASC will be abandoned, govt should come up with an alternative...... steel production is of strategic importance to the economic renaissance of any nations...... all newly industrialized or emerging economies have a viable and vibrant steel industry....... mexico, Egypt, turkey, Taiwan, Indonesia, south Africa, india, Malaysia all produce steel..... the ability to produce steel and fabricate it into different steel components is key to the economic diversification we all yearn for...... innoson's cars will sell for as low as #1 million if he starts sourcing for vital car component within the Nigerian steel industry.... Nigeria for now cannot compete effectively in the international market when it comes to manufacturing....... we lack the competitive advantage to accomplish that...... thus, focus in our manufacturing sector should be on import-substitution industrialization and not export ..... Govt must do everything within its powers has to protect our nascent manufacturing industries from cheap foreign products...... if it means Nigerians paying more, then so be it....... America placed 225% import duties on Chinese steel products try and export finished products or consumer goods to china and experience daunting restrictive barriers at their borders. every nation protects its own, Nigeria should do the same.... everything mustn't be about the end users..... |
The problems are mulfactorial..... But it buoys down to the quality of foreign investment we can attract.......... No western country will invest in a complex n corrupt country like Nigeria. Companies with western roots treats workers better since they have fair labour laws I guess the Asians n indians understand our system better since it's no different from theirs' and they equally treat their own people like thrash. |
To those who think Richard Quest is their standard for the truth....... They can as well swallow this..........
|
naijaboy756:truth indeed.......... since CNN cannot correctly identify Nigeria on a global map, we can safely assume whatever they say about us is rubbish
|
selfmadeOLX:It's is the same thing..... Distortion of facts to obfuscate the truth.... U can't be criticising when u're guilty of the same thing... |
selfmadeOLX:Now u showed us pictures of jesus being white..... Yet insisted Christians should teach with facts and not just faith...... Now see u swallowing a deception of jesus being white without question........ Has it ever occurred to you how jesus could be Caucasian, when he grew up in the middle east........ |
Lovely Sorry what river is that...... Or is it the coastal terrain of ilaje/ijebu-waterside. |
please can someone post the daily prayer points here so that we can all follow and pray along |
Wizprodigy:My intention is to brief you properly about the genesis of those appointments. And I believe now u know better. Your response to my post or your irrelevant question is inconsequential to me. I'm in no mood for diatribe. |
Wizprodigy:yes, that was possible because nnamdi azikwe who was the president and responsible for those appointments in the early 1960's, was busy filling them up with his kith and kin....unilag, ui, yabatech......... He even attempted to appoint a non medical doctor as the CMD of UCH........when the appointment generated so much uproar, he reversed it yet made the same man the chairman of UCH board. In case you don't know, these controversial appointments in federal establishments in western Nigeria was the cause of the rift between akintola and awolowo.......... when awolowo was finally sent to prison and tafawa pulled out of the NCNC coalition, akintola made sure all those appointments were reversed. The case of unilag was quite interesting...... eni njoku refused to stay in unilag after he wasn't re-appointed and left for a uni in Michigan. the new VC, biobaku was stabbed by an irate eastern student, few weeks after assuming office. unilag was practically torn into 2 as the eastern academic staffs refused to have anything to do with their western colleagues..... so as u can see, u cant regard all those first's as achievement...........since they were all controversial as it can ever be..... |
I think its a case of gigantism......over-production of growth hormone. |

if ur dad is from Papua new guinea and ur mum is from oshogbo then ur from Papua new guinea that why people say Obama is from Kenya biko ,don't repeat it again
