Now the matter done change. Both malaria symptoms O, or cough and catarrh now na corona virus.

That's why our hospitals get the fastest discharge rate. Imagine a discharge of 46 patient in just one day. angry
Are you saying it isn't possible? Nigeria isn't the only country discharging

We know there is hunger but cutting short the lock down is that the best decision? only time will tell. By this time next week, we would have passed to 3000 cases with the way things are going.
With the lockdown I'm sure we would have passed that. Now without we should be expecting 5000 upwards cry

huuumm make dem still use style show Nigerians the isolation center with the patients in it now. Other countries did it. If this is done it's going to increase the level of seriousness of compliance of Nigerians. When they see people struggling for breath even with ventilators on they will know it's a serious issue
TVC has a special report for that this Sunday I believe by 10pm

. It gives me a lot of concern to see the spread of Covid 19 in Nigeria..I am of the opinion that it will still spread like a wild fire in this country..The PMB should jhave locked the country down again for additional two weeks but the state governors disagreed with him. They disagreed because they did not want to spend money they have on this emergency. They wanted the president to give them money for the lock down..He however asked the governors to adopt what they like in their states. Many Nigerians want to go out because there is no meaningful palliatives for them...They have been abandoned by the politicians and our leaders Covid 19 is now increasing in Oyo and other states in Nigeria. If we think it is over we are DECEIVING ourselves..Nigeria may regret lack of will to fight it logically by locking down the whole country for a week or two and giving citizens robust palliatives. We should have learned a lesson in Spanish Influenza of 1916 to 1918..
More like 3 weeks and I'm starting to believe we're just following global trends. This country is relaxing oya let's relax too

I'm at a cross road really, no signs of the spread slowing down and lockdown gonna be relaxed in some days.
If only the lockdown can be extended, but then people are starving.
All these is an effect of having a government let by an abject novice. I mean what is the point of lockdown for over a month with less than 10k test carried out?
To even think countries with far lesser population and resources are doing more and better than us is an insult.
Our leaders especially the federal govt are embarrasments.
I've tried to keep an open and realistic mind concerning their response to this pandemic but yeah they messed up badly in that regard. It's like we totally had no sort of infra for something like this. Still opening labs every week sad. No research, nothing angry. I even learnt recently that our first test was done in south Africa though I don't know how true that is sad

Which country has announced the reduction in the COVID-19 cases? This disesse keeps increasing everywhere, even in countries with adequate and sophisticated health facilities.
Well countries that swung into swift action like South Korea, Vietnam, Czech Republic, New Zealand...Hell even China the originator now seems to have it under control sad

As expected.

Test more people, get more confirmed cases.

The numbers will rise to it's peak then gradually fall.

Statistics still shows that we are very far behind in testing when compared to other smaller African countries, and this is hella worrisome.
Whoa shocked. I'm just seeing this. But how are countries like Morroco and Algeria fairing if it seems we've conducted more tests or they haven't released their testing data?

Bigleaf1006:
How and where was the test conducted. APC is busy playing games with us. Boss Mustapha and Sanwoolu are in cahoots on this conspiracy.

I have forever been waiting for data on LGA basis at least for Lagos. No info,no data to work on but all we get is releasing numbers like election results.

During ebola we all knew the epicenter was Eti osa and surulere LGAs. Fashola APC could not actively connive with Goodluck's PDP in perpetuating this highly debateable figures cos they knew FG wasn't too keen to play ball.

Release LGA by LGA statistics, how many imported cases and how many community transmissions.

Let's have info on the dead,we had names of those that died during ebola, why is this different?

The government till now hasn't given any concrete plan on how they intend to get us out of this or how they intend to palliate the basic welfare of the people.

Absolutely nothing reponsible from government other than seemingly obvious untruthful assertions.
Lagos state provided some breakdown

we don't have any contingency plan for rapid increase in coronavirus cases in this country is a very bad idea

Why don't we have a contingency plan after about a month of lockdown...?.. Is that how working nations behave?.... Shouldn't we prepare for life after lockdown.... What is the economy team headed by the VP doing for a month?.. Isolating àbí... Issorite.. When heaven falls, it falls on us all

Sorry, permit me to ask just this final question. By viral load and content do you mean the amount of virus contracted differs from one individual to another? I never thought that could also be a factor.
Thanks.
Yes it does differ. That's why testing early is essential before the virus eventually replicates and becomes hard to control. Thank you for the questions smiley

Please note I stand to be corrected concerning anything I said up there smiley
HealthRe: COVID-19: Lagos Discharges 9 More Patients. Total Discharged In Lagos Now 107 by SirWarlock: 6:37pm On Apr 21, 2020
Cammo:
In other words, people who died and will die of Covid-19 have low immune system?
Kinda. From what has been deciphered it depends on factors like the viral load and content and how your immunity level. Because basically antibodies take a while to show up and viruses replicate fast. Immunity varies among the population, so how Mr.A will react to the virus might be different from that of Mr.B. From widespread reports, the virus really hits the elderly and people with compromised immune or with chronic illnesses.

I don't understand all this discharge something ooo...were they tested positive initially and cured totally to be discharged..
like they are negative now,I really want to know ooo
if yes.whats the cure?
your immune system fights the virus. But that happens also when you're exhibiting symptoms so the job of your physician is to manage those symptoms/complications as your body fights the virus.
FoodRe: What's That Worst Mistake You Ever Made While Cooking? by SirWarlock: 6:19pm On Apr 21, 2020
Mehn grin grin I remember years back I was cooking indomie and back then we usually beat eggs and pour it directly into the indomie for it to cook instead of frying separately. So on that unfortunate day I mistakenly added half of our dry pepper into the egg sad. I got confused and still went ahead and poured the egg into indomie thinking it would still be okay. I swear people could smell the pepper outside the kitchen. I eventually tried to force myself and my brothers to eat it but we couldn't lipsrsealed. I ending up forfeiting our lunch that day cry
