I am not surprise, you get this kind of students from Deeper Life High School. But soup wey sweet na money kill am oo, that school is not very cheap. You want quality, you pay for it! |
What is the legal position of situation where artisans like vulcanizers, street mechanics, traders of charcoal, fish, food stuff etc are forced to join the existing association of their chosen trade before they can ply that trade. Most times some of these traders are required to pay as much as 50% of the net worth of their business to the Association or have their trade items or properties forcefully taken away, recovery of which must come with registration fees and fines. How does the laws of the country view this practice, is it legal to forcefully required an individual to join a trade before he can make a living from that trade? Is there any reprieve for victims of such compulsion? |
I thought President Buhari is vigorously fighting corruption in Nigeria, why is this kind of unpleasant commentaries about the Nigerian police still very rampant? |
When someone commits suicide, a sole reason rarely explains it. It’s often the result of many complex factors in a very noisy but lonely world. Suicide is never an excusable or righteous solution—no matter how great the temptation, how bad the situation, or how serious the condition. Suicide is a sin! However it is very easy to judge people who commits suicide because you never have a clue of how they felt. You never know what horrible thoughts go through their mind! Have you ever been sleep deprived, heavily depressed such that you literally feel the pain of sadness in your stomach or the thought of heavy desperation that makes you think there is just no way out because you are completely boxed to a corner? Unfortunately, suicidal feelings do not respect anybody. I have read of at least 2 pastors who committed suicide and it hit me that not every vibrant souls are strong, not every smiling people are happy. True confession, people don’t know I am suicidal because I look strong and when you see me you never have a clue about my state of mind, but the truth is, the feeling that you are down and out could be very unimaginable. On few occasions you takes step to end it all when you are overwhelmed with the feeling that you have lost your banking job, started some businesses and lost some N10 million naira in the process, got into debt, struggled hard to pay children school fees and house rent, make drastic adjustment on house rent and school fees and continues to struggle hard and sometimes finding it very hard to put food on the table for the family. I am always able to survive those ‘‘end it now’’ moments because I believe suicide earthly ends your problems (at least momentarily) but creates bigger problems for your children, wife and loved ones. It ends your own crisis and triggers the beginning of new chapter of crisis in the life of your family members. So, suicide is very selfish solution! The truth is we make some decisions that bring serious consequences and losses into our lives. We make mistakes that could alter the direction of our destiny. However, everyone makes mistakes and therefore everybody is busy dealing with the consequences of their mistakes. So, in reality nobody has your time, you just have to figure things out for yourself. You are responsible for you. But in all your actions and reactions, Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. |
Sometimes, it looks like we are really cursed in this country! |
You think is for nothing that Iyaloja General wants to exercise some authority on Computer Village, if you people know how much this madam makes from the markets in Lagos you will know that she will stop at nothing to remain very relevant in every place in Lagos where money is exchanged for commodities. I promise you that woman makes more money from Lagos markets than majority of you Nairalanders combined! |
how are we watching barcelona vs real madrid match tonight? |
This is amazing. A place like Lagos cannot announce election few hours after the conclusion of the polls. The result is simply BEING MANIPULATED and that is the reason for the delay. |
The is need for a change in Lagos. Some people are too powerful in this state and they are the one that determine the fate of over 20 million Lagosians. They take control of the resources and common wealth of the state and release stipends to make you think the state is working. Go to the likes of Cairo or Jo'Bourg, see what is happening there and you will know that Lagos is a learner compare to the kind of resources available to it. Any voting adult that cast its vote to ensure another tenure for APC in Lagos is part of the problem of Lagos. Would you have known of huge sums of money that were misappropriated under GEJ if PMB had not become the President of the country?. I strongly believe serious financial improprieties are going on under APC in Lagos and the next APC elected governor will continue to cover this evil and be part of it. Let there be a change for once in the political governance of Lagos so we can know if Lagos is truly progressing. Tinubu is becoming too powerful in Lagos and it is an evil wind that blows no Lagosian any good. The fate of Lagos should be in the hand of every single Lagosian and not just one man and his loyalist. |

iamadedotun:Oga B.Sc holder with plenty job, when God bless you to have your own bank, you are free to use bullion van to ferry your cash between Lagos and the East. |
onlysose:..and that is why they should criminalize the two guys involved without doing their due diligence? |
In a sane clime, officials of EFCC responsible for this embarrassment would be on a hot seat right now; how can you parade people for crime when you have not eliminated the slightest of doubt about their complicity; these paraded guys should sue a hell out of this Commission, smh. |
I am touched. An unsettled country without a direction, an harmless but unloved group; probably dangerous, a brutal military force and a poor innocent little boy. An unending story! |
For Nigeria black is kcalb and white is etihw. You don't expect things to go right because it will just not go right. Normally PMB will not win the election but I can assure you that he will be the President for another 4 years, why? this is Nigeria! |
BabaRamota1980:Wonderful! So a case remains adjudicate in a law court even when the accused is not alive to defend himself. Why take the man to the court when you first accuse him? 'Kukuma' send him straight to prison immediately you accuse him naa, smh |
hungryboy:How can you say this when we have Mohammadu Buhari as the current President of Nigeria. |
I am in |
I love this man. Can you see the way he cleverly package that 'yabbin'. He would make a very good President if fate allows him. |
Wao |
waol |
I love this tread, very educative! |
IbrahimDamola:God will bless you for this response brother. I wish I am in the position to help this man through all the stages of the frustration the system will put him through before he gets justice. If there are 100 human right abuse and there are 100 redress in court, these officers will seat up. Don't ever expect the police to protect you when a policeman infringe on your right. Take your destiny into your own hand.. go through every legal means possible to get justice. This rubbish must stop in these country. Can you imagine that statement..' i will kill you and nothing will happen' , can you imaging that mentality of 'Lordship over all you slave' mentality these police officers always portray. God help this country! |
Sparkle777:Obviously you have never driven a car in your life because if you did you would realize that mechanical issues do sometimes happen even if you have done things right with your car. Anybody would have suspected the driver quite right but a sane human being would have left that 5% window of benefit of a doubt. Do you know what those SARs guys would have done to that man, do you know how many innocent men have been summarily killed by those officers. The woman wants to show that she 'sabi' people abi. God is watching. |
Sleekfingers:Buhari did not impeach the governor but he is responsible for the police that made it happen. My dear President seems either not to be in control of the action of the police or chooses to look the other way! |
...and one day one ignorant man go say I DO and marry this one for house, Jesus have mercy! |
ultron12345:lack of equipment is also responsible for the doctors's and staff coldness to the emergency of the patient abi?, remember what comes around goes around ooo |
Chidinma, the past is past live for the future, forgive yourself fully and move on. It is amazing how much we can achieve if we DELIBERATELY detach ourselves from our past. He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone! |

Where did my deazr GT bank get it wrong? |
More . than 80% of respondents think the police lied about this picture. Police damage control is not working. |
