I do it a lot..
I can't remember the last time i spoke plain yoruba all through in a sentence.
Same goes to a lot of peeps i know too.

Makes me remember a yourba friend who was born and bred in yoruba land but at almost 30 did not know "baluwe" is yoruba for "bathroom"
When saying "i don't like it" in yoruba,you get to hear "mi o like e".
English language is slowly eroding our indigenous languages.Sad but true!

All these problem in one marriage and from one man?

People who want to talk about "Warning signs to detect a potential abuser" or "Situations that lead to abuse and how it can be avoided" should open a separate thread for that...which is basically much of what Airpure and Guitarlife have been dwelling around.
This thread is about people who have been abused and got out alive telling their stories...so others can learn from it.
Lets stop confusing issues unnecessarily.

Ask yourself this question...
Would you help a random person if they needed help?
Would you help an old neighbour?
I know its different and you feel bad about the relationship you didn't have with him but he is human first before he is your father.
I'm sure he regrets that mistake even if he doesnt say it out loud..
..maybe he is acually taking advantage of you...
..maybe he isn't...but i think you shouldn't dwell on it so much.You can't change the past but you can affect the future.
See it as a chance to have a relationship with him now...
If he truly needs help and its within your means....please do.

I have seen cases where its the man's family that insists the fiancee gets pregnant before marriage is set in motion...
I have seen men who say they won't get married to a girl until they are assured of the girls fertility..
If a woman is not desperate for marriage,knows what she wants,and stands by it,i don't see how she can be blackmailed into "getting pregnant".
