All of the above are no reasons for any sane person to disown his/her parent. No matter how many mistakes they might have made,there would still be some good they did you and its better to dwell on that than forever holding grudges and being bitter about things you cannot change. |

My mum had this method of making me use the textbooks my brother who was a year ahead of me used while he was in my class so my bro used new textbooks while i used "pass me ajeku".. I was in primary 3 and my Macmillan english reading book was already tattered by the middle of the term. I wanted a new one but i couldn't tell my parents so i just went and threw the book into one bush in front of the house then told my mum it got stolen at school. My mum came to tell my teacher who in turn questioned me on how it got stolen. I told the teacher i left it on my table and went to the toilet but could'nt find it when i got back. The teacher questioned and punished all my classmates fruitlessly.. At the end of the day,i achieved my aim.my mum had no choice but to buy me a new book. |

i don't exactly know the difference between dyslexia and autism...but from all i've read the behavioural patterns of children with any of the two are similar... Op,try and see this old indian movie "like stars on the earth". Its about a child with dyslexia whose parents didn't know how to manage it...the issues the child had and the teacher who came to his rescue. It might give you a better idea on how to deal with situations like that pls all various posters have said on this thread.. Goodluck to you and to the kid! 1 Like |
