Yea, you can go for Matte, it's less cheaper than silk and will equally give you a nice texture as well...But most times the peeling off might not be the choice of paint, but from the screeded walls itself, especially if it's affected by moisture, it swollens and the result is that peeling off.

It will be advisable to quote the outside walls especially your fense with taolin since you won't be around that often.

You can't apply textcoat or Emulsion paint on a screeded wall, it's like a waste of time and resources, why apply that if you knew before hand you will screed your walls...?? You just have to go with Satin or Silk paint that will give the walls a smooth and shining surface.

But be rest assured since the home will always be constantly locked, it might weakens the walls faster within a year!!
