AkpaMgbor:
If you play chess on a competitive level you’d know that becoming a National master in the USA is no mean feat. They are on average stronger than our top players in naija..and Tiunde isn’t even in the top echelon of Nigerian chess in terms of playing strength..in a nutshell, that Hispanic opponent of his isn’t a titled national master.
What do you mean by titled naitonal chess master? Martinez is a National chess master in the US. This is a fact - what is the argument for? huh
Politics › Re: Okuama Residents Sue Army For ‘rights Violation’, Seek N200bn Compensation by SmartyPants(m): 1:47pm On Apr 20, 2024
JASONjnr:
They were supposed to file a court restricting order to stop the army from invading the community.

But because they're greedy, they want money while in exile....

Someone said, the army needed to take diplomatic response to investigate and arrest the culprit, rather than using force.

Because, if an army man kills a civilian, they will ask the family of the slain civilian to give them time to investigate. Why can't they do the same? Rather than attacking whole community.
If not that you are a chronic attention seeker you would have seen this part:

They are also seeking an order restraining the army from further violating their fundamental rights and an order enabling the applicants and residents of Okuama community to take back possession of their land.

Being an Airforce personnel in Nigeria is like being a prostitute in a town full of castrated men. You know you're just being silly.

Airforce Special Forces Squad. NOT one plane in sight. grin

Clowns.
This is a silly comment. These men are still infantry operators - they do not fight from planes and in these pics, they are depicted in theor operating encironment. They fight on the ground, even if they are broadly airmen.

How many times do you see pics of the US Navy Seals beside navy ships or the British SAS beside planes?

Must you talk??

The way dollar will jump 🦘🦘🦘 back to 2000 like a kangaroo will be brutal this time because what they have been doing is artificial depreciation of the dollar. Once the reserves they used in servicing the forex finishes, it will go back to high. It's not the first time, Buhari did the same thing. That's the reason Nigerian foreign reserves went down recently. If the naira is naturally appreciating against the dollar, it will instantly reflect on the prices of Products in the country
They've explained and explained this thing to you people but you refuse to understand. Is it desperation or what is the issue??

The reseerves dropped because the fx backlog was cleared. How hard is that to understand??

How many games he won, how many lose?

All this trying to break Guinness world record of whatever is brain draining. The energy spent on just such period of time would affect so many other things.

Those who have been breaking whatever records since, what have they achieved after then?
The condition of the record is that he must win every game. He is playing against a USA national chess master repeatedly, as well as against random members of the public. In breaking this record he is also raising funds for the children he teaches chess to.

You should be ashamed for the negativity you are showing here.

You still don't get it? You are asking for someone to go through the due process of divorce when there was never a marriage

I never agreed to be with you, the white man forced us together. The white man has gone back home, I want to go my way, you say I should go and do divorce? Why? You cannot legitimacy from an illegal colonial creation of the white man
What do you mean we never agreed to be together? Of course, we did. The Independence Constitution that created Nigeria in 1960 was the product of a Nigerian agreement that cut across the divide of North, South, East, and West. No one was forced at all. And that was what the other guy was trying to point out to you. Nnamdi Azikiwe, who was the Igbo nationalist leader, was instrumental in ensuring that this agreement would not entertain the possibility of secession. You as an individual may not have been there to agree, but those you had as leaders did so. And the only way out today is equally through those you have as leaders today.

So which Lawmakers were there when Lugard created Nigeria in 1914? Infact I thought it would be you guys that would be pushing for those you don't get along with to leave Nigeria? What do you need Lawmakers for? Unity begging is a disease
Who is you guys and who do we not get along with? Lol. Why revert back to Luagard? What does that have to do with this subject good sir? You made a point, when responding to someone who said Azikiwe was culpable for creating a Constitution that doesn't allow secession, and your point was that secession should not be limited by the Constitution since we created the same Constitution based on an agreement.

Now, I'm telling you that such an agreement can also be made now, provided that those who want to leave bring forth their case meaningfully. And that is by presenting a bill for debate in the legislative houses.

It is laughable that you are not willing to do the bare minimum of compelling your elected officials to initiate the conversation. Instead you are now throwing it back to the other side to start the conversation for you. Are you even serious or you just enjoy the idea of complaining?

Because what you are now saying with one mouth is that I want to leave your house but I want you to be the one to ask me to leave. No sir, you are definitely not sincere in your quest for secession. You merely love the fact that you have something to complain about.

Checkout our women basketball team, football team or is it our great women like Dr Mrs Ngozi and Late Mrs Dora?

I think we should drop pride and senseless ego and allow women to governor this country.

PS: Google the bridge constructed by Desmond Elliot and the one constructed by the female councilor.

Also Google the water project donated by Peter Obi and the one donated by Marvin music star, Ayra Starr
Who is stopping women from leading? Join a political party and run.

Whenever there is talk about us going our seperate ways, some people will be talking about Zik and secession clause as if Zik owns Nigeria. Zik that has been dead some 40 years! We didn't have unity clause before Nigeria was created, but someone is looking for secession clause before dissolving Nigeria? Laughable
Good point. So how was Nigeria created? By the consensus of lawmakers right? So now that it is time to break up, it should also be by the consensus of lawmakers too right? So like I've always said, if your people are ready to leave, they should put sustained pressure on their lawmakers starting from the state house to the national assembly, as well as their governors. Force them to present the issue as a united front. Without this pressure from the bottom-up, nothing will happen. Nobody will break up Nigeria because gidgidy on Nairaland asked for it.

And you are obviously not a lawyer from your last sentence. A lawyer can claim that this happened - https://www.nairaland.com/7563169/event-planners-print-own-money and argue that in so many different ways... people have started using some form of prop money that are not exactly counterfeit in real life events. We will see the arguments that Cubana's lawyer will put up.
lol. I have nothing to prove to you. Common sense alone should tell you that cubana used money that looks exactly like naira not like the obviously fake prop money you're talking about. So he has to explain how he produced it and whether such production is in line with extant laws.

And btw the fact that event planners are producing prop money is not even an argument in the first place because common sense should also tell you that the fact that event planners are doing it doesn't make it legal. Or does it? lol. Good luck to all to all of you.

A good lawyer can poke holes in the video and photo evidence. That's what I expected Bobrisky's lawyer to do. It is difficult to tell that the money was genuine Naira notes just from the video and photos... so lawyers can cook up stories. Except a lot of verified witnesses come out to testify.
Lol. Why are you arguing with me? As I've just explained, it is one thing for you to cook up whatever story you want to tell, and another thing entirely for a judge to accept it. There are fundamental rules of evidence and you have to play by those rules. You don't even know what you are saying at all. Using prop money in a real-world setting - don't you know that opens him up to an additional charge of possession of counterfeit money? You are not a lawyer. Don't debate law with me.
