speak for ur self boy. are you saying we dont have good people in this country that can enforce law and order on the citizens?
a father of 3 with a pregnant wife who was owned 15 months salaries. do you expect him not to cut corner if he had the chance. talk less of the bad living condition of an average policeman. Go to a developed countries with cctv camera everywhere and do anyhow because u are the first Nigerian there. and see if dey wont bundle u like a dusbin. you must be feeding fat from your mummy's pot for u to think an average Nigerian wud just wake up and begin to live right under a very hash economic conditions deprived of basics needs of survival
the sovereignty of this country is in circles of wrong and evil hands and there is nothing the righteous can do about it. A government of ridicule that cant lead by example, less the masses should continue in suffering and smiling.
only a Nigerian politicians would tell u a saying something. Excuse me kid
Reason like yours is another pointer that Nigeria still have a long way to go.
How did a man that is owe 15 months salary has been surving if not through graft.
If you are honest enough, resign your position and look for paying job or you do something better with your life.
i will rather stay back at my home than to keep going to a place they owe me 15months salary.
The so call owed Worker will turn on people like you to survive since you are justifying their survival, that survival must also be at your expenses.

Your submission clearly indicate you are not a stable mind, you want a better country, yet you are justifying how someone will have to fleece others to survive all in the name of being owe salaries, how sure are you that when the so called owed salaries are paid the corrupt man will stop fleecing his fellow Nigerian?

i no blame you, people like you were raised with such an illicit money, major reason you don't see any wrong in that.

Lol...nope. So, where did the leaders come from? Did they drop from the sky or were they once part of the people that also once complained about their leaders then? It's a cycle and you are clearly putting the cart before the horse. I get the idea that a system that is not working may force some people to do abominable things but that does not justify the mass-selfishness that has eroded the fabric of the Nigerian society. Everyone is thinking of a way to scam the unsuspecting neighbour.

If you want true change, let the value-system of the average Nigerian change and let's see if it won't affect the leadership or at worst, the leaders of tomorrow. I tell you, the leaders of Nigeria in 2050 may be currently somewhere suffering and complaining about how terrible Buhari is and yet, he/she is planning on doing worse once he gets to the corridors of power. I don't buy your explanation of 'it's still the leader'.

If you want to change a nation, start by changing yourself. If only everyone adhered to this.
God bless you for this submission.
they will still come out to argue with despite the simple explanation.
An average Nigerian love finger pointing, they will never agreed they themselves are worse than the leaders

Nigerian airports the only airports in the world where begging is now a culture. It's gets really embarrassing. Everybody from immigration and passport control, customs, baggage staff and others at luggage check points all asking anything for the boys every single time. Even those baggage handlers at the tarmac when you go to identify your luggage for local flights before entering the plane, after showing them your luggage the next thing bros I can send it to the front of the luggage carousel so you don't wait too long for your luggage once you land at the arrivals area, just find me small thing. Nobody does anything for free over there. You even have to give them tips for performing their jobs. I tire for this country. We have a very long way to go.
There are officials who begg at OR Tambo in Johannesburg,i also experience it in Kenya.
Though the act is disgraceful to say the least but
Nigeria is not the only place airport officials beg

Princewill1:
The high successes recorded by dubious politicians, fraudulent pastors and ponzi scheme operators in Nigeria are living proofs that Nigerians can be so gullible. We can easily be deceived. The astronomical hype on Canada is the latest deceit in town. Here are things you need to know before immigrating.

1. The list of richest Nigerians is filled with Nigerians living at home. You're more likely to make it into Forbes if you live in Nigeria. At least that's what the stat shows, whether people making into Forbes in Nigeria are engaging in corrupt practices is a story for another day. The odds of becoming a dollar billionaire favours those at home . No Diaspora Nigerian has ever made it into Forbes billionaire list.

2. There are more money to be made in a developing economy than in a developed economy. That's why as you're rushing out of the country, Lebanese, Indians and Chinese are rushing in. Only few will understand. You're sitting on the biggest market in Africa yet you haven't realize this but the Lebanese and the Indians knew this.

3. If you are the type who don't fancy working for others, it's much more easier to own a business in Nigeria than in Canada/US. Western countries were set up for the 99% populace to work for 1% elites. Their education systems were designed to produce workforce for the rat race. Not to create employers of labour.

4. It's stupidity to resign from a high-paying job in Nigeria in a bid to relocate to Canada/US. Your eyes will get clear up when you start facing the hard realities in Canada. Those who had made this mistake in the past are ashamed to come on social media to talk about it. The ones talking on Twitter are 'freshers' who just arrived.

5. If you want to secure 2nd passport for your kids, you don't necessarily need to immigrate to achieve this. There are other ways, one method is overseas child birth.

6. You're 5x more likely to be shot and rubbed in New York than in Lagos. Poor neighborhoods all over the world has more crime rates. The thing is, when you finally made it in Nigeria, you can move to high brow areas with lesser crime.

7. Nigerians are spending up to 8millions ($21k) and above to immigrate to Canada/US whereas an average canadian or American citizen can't boast of $10k in their bank A/C's. They live pay check to pay check.

8. Some Nigerians claims that they ain't relocating because of the money but because of good infrastructure, good health care system, value for their money etc. That's a lie! 98% of Nigerians who're eager to travel out are relocating because of economic reasons. There are good infrastructure, good health care system and value for money in countries like Kuwait, Russia, Brazil, South Korea, Chile etc but Nigerians ain't trooping there, indicating that their preference for Canada/US is purely based on economic reasons.

9. It's cheaper to live in Nigeria. Canada/US promises higher minimum wage but the system will still take it away from you. It's like giving you with one hand and taking from you with another. $2k (N760k) will pay for your one year rent of 2 bedrooms apartment in a good location in Nigeria but same amount will only fetch you one month rent of a match box apartment in Canada/US.

10. This is not to stop you from traveling out but to inform you on the true realities. Economic immigration should be left for lower or working class who're struggling or to young lads who wants to school abroad and thereafter further their career overseas. Not to deceive Nigerians already earning good in corporate offices in Nigeria to resign and relocate where they will be employed as security guards or to deceive business owners who's businesses are thriving in Nigeria to close down business and relocate. Don't let them deceive you with the hype. Money don't grow on trees anywhere in the world.
Don't mind them,i have same thing severally and its always the same attitude, same disposition.
Leave them make Dem go learn, they will be back here to tell us their findings.

One of your undoing and biggest problem is you easily make baseless assumptions which is not cool to be honest.

So if a President arrest a judge I will labelling him a tyrant? Ridiculous! Besides, what clause in the constitution gives a president the powers to arrest a judge? What happena to separation of power? What happens to government Anti-corruption agencies? Do you even have a clue what you are talking about? huh angry, I doubt!

Besides, which resolution are you talking about? You think All Americans are corrupt-free and honest? Spoiler: the greatest con artist in history (Joseph Weil) is an American. In America you have the good and bad as in every country, but there are laws that governs and checkmate people lives - the authorities. If one commit an offence they will be arrested and charge to a Court of law, later they will get appropriate jail time according to their offence - no bribing, maneuvers or bending the law, why? The institutions there are strong and fit-for-purpose. While in Nigeria and other developing countries one can easily bend laws to suit them.

It astound me how you failed to grasp this simple concept huh
The answers to your Epistle still lies in my Previous replies,
Read over and over again you will be able to get my point.
But let me help you a bit by writing the main answer in capital letters.

IT IS THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE AN INSTITUTION STRONGER, INSTITUTIONS DON'T EXECUTE TASK,IT IS THE PEOPLE THAT HOLD AN INSTITUTION AND MAKE IT WORK,IT IS YHE SAME PEOPLE WHO DISABLED IT.

You are still revolving round one point - inclusive institutions.

Your analogy of your wife fast-tracking her NIN card underlies this perfectly. You see, In Germany or Switzerland or any other developed countries, you can't cut corners, even if you do its gonna be tough, difficult and perilous. There are institutions saddled with the responsibility of holding Office holders accountable and responsible for their actions. Besides they are well paid and well taken care off. A US police
Officer earns more than a commissioner of police of a state. It tells you more, and more importantly corruption is seriously frown upon in societies.

Former south Korean president is currently serving 23 years jail time for abuse of power and gross misconduct. Unthinkable in a developing countries particularly Nigeria. Why? Very weak institutions.

I can go on and on but I think you should understand where I'm coming from.
Institution aren't strong without people.
When people are resolute the institution will even become stronger.

when Buhari came out and got some judges arrested to preserve what is left of the judiciary,no be una dey cal am tyrant?
US and other countries institution were not strong on book,it is the people that put their feet down and said it must work.
Do we have that kind of resolution ? No
it is not how much you earn that makes you to be corrupt or not to be corrupt.
People in NNPC,CBN and other top government agencies earn more than enough yet they steal.
Some earn less at LG council and they did not steal Kobo.

My wife never fast track her NIN reg,she went there like every other person, but the forms were hoarded until someone told her that she won't get it done even if she comes 200 times except she paths with money.
it is the same stories all over the country

Grace001:
You’re still not getting my point. No offense please but It seem like you don’t know the importance of strong government institutions in the lives of the citizens and the impact in the society. Nigeria as a country have a weak government institutions.

Nigeria’s institutions are not able to protect live and property, laws and regulations are not enforced properly, the government is not being able to offer social support as there’s no access to a good level of medical care and mental health support. Nigeria’s institutions are weak because their institutions have failed to build infrastructures stable for development. Yet you want citizens to be law and abiding and also to contribute their quota in a fail system.

Let me remind you that be it white or black all humans have criminal tendencies. According to psychologist. I guess you don’t know that, the presence of strong government institutions plays an important role in shaping the behavior of the citizens. Strong government institutions guide economic, shape how budgets are spent, and regulate the justice system. When institutions are weak and corrupt, resources are wasted, services aren’t delivered, and people (especially the poor) do not receive the required protection(Life has no value in Nigeria people die like chicken in the hands of bandits, kidnappers etc) .

Having said that, the fact still remain that it’s only those that are elected as leaders that can strengthen the government institutions to bring positive changes in the society and this changes will shape the behavior of the citizens, better their lives and also give them an enabling environment to contribute their quotas as citizens.

Let me remind you again, China passed into law death penalty for any public office holder find guilty of corruption or financial bribery. You think Chinese aren’t corrupt ? Your answer is as good as mine, the strong institutions has shaped Chinese behavior and that of their society. Why has Nigerian elected leaders refuse to pass this into law ? Because they know a strong government institutions will stop them from looting and oppressing citizens.

Here in Nigeria people get away with corrupt or wicked act because the system is weak. Are you surprise that majority of Nigerians that travel abroad try not to beat the system, few who try to play smart pay the price heavily because there are strong institutions on ground to deal with them.

With all said above, if you still think the input of a common man in Nigeria will make a difference in the absence of strong government institutions that can deliver justice and equity for all.

Then you can as well believe that someday a pig will fly.
We are saying the same in different way and format, unfortunately you were even waiting for me to break down it for you completely.

The so called strong institution EXIST in Nigeria,it is the people that made them weak, Yes the same common man who claimed to be a victim of the system made the system handicap.

I will cite few examples for you here and if you still want to contend that i wish you good luck.
NIMC was set up for everyone to get on it for proper planning and security, your Common Man who claimed to be a victim are the one in charge of operations, they disabled the system to make people queue up so they can fleece them,it is on record that those who are getting NIN pay nothing less than ₦2k, my wife paid ₦5k to have it done, this was even before the directives.

You can't get Nigeria passport with ease, even for those of us who have been on our 4th cycle of passport, renewal is always war,Drivers licences won't make it out until you grease palms.
Are you paying to Buhari family or the governor's family? it is your brother and my sisters who decided to set up barricades for their fellow country men to make things difficult and we all think the system will work or the institution will be strong?

Police is a very strong institution, those officers are Nigerians, they got employed and were given training and pay salary, try and have anything to do at the police station, you will be required to pay bribe.

All facet's of our life is riddle with corruption, are all these facet's populated by political class?
China you referenced is able to develop to that point because their leaders are AUTHORITARIAN ditto United States government, try and do anyhow and see what will happen within seconds,if such a law should be promulgated here or anyone trying to enforce it una go come out for twitter dey protest.
i don't know your age,but if you are old enough to witnessed Buhari regime as military president you would have an idea of what I am saying.

Go and check how Nigerian ran down South Africa,go to the US and see their reaction towards Nigerians, European Nations have special laws and ways of deali6with us when compared to other African Nations.

Yes our infrastructural development is not good enough, but the little we are managing are been destroyed or vandalized at any slightest provocation,Check how many people were sent to bankruptcy during EndSars protest,How about public amenities that were destroyed?

Citizens of Those countries you intend to run to do not support evil, they protect themselves and the Institution, that is why the whole place is progressive and peaceful.

Nothing will change until when we change our ways.

What most of you “business idea gang” has refused to remind yourself is that , MONEY isn’t the only thing that motivate people from jetting out of the country.

Some people jet out just because they are tired of the “suffering and smiling life” so they want to start a new life in a country where the system works and raise kids in a sane environment where their kids can become whosoever they want to become without knowing Oga at the top

Everything isn’t about money, what’s the essence of it after hustling to make money as a business idea lord/guru and still be in a country where

Health system is in comatose
Education is nothing to talk about(ASUU on strike since last year)
Electricity is epileptic/rockets science
Roads has became death traps
Insecurity everywhere “1001 ways to die in Nigeria”
Unstable government policies that frustrate citizens
And lots more

In the midst of all these, yet you’re feeling like king isnt it? Just because you’re making the money

Another daft statement some people say is “let’s stay and build or make our country great

The question is how can a common man build or make a country great, when those that are elected Into power to make positive decision to better the life of the masses has refused to do so. Government policies have a great impact in citizens lives

Nigerians have been clamoring for restructuring, but those who can make it happen has refused to do the needful. How does the input of the common man count in a corrupt failed country ? So much to talk about but let me stop here.

I will say this again. Life is good, for those who want to enjoy it to the fullest If you have the means to leave this country, leave and don’t think twice. Your grandchildren will forever be thankful to you.
A Common man can contribute his/her own quota to nation building,it is the quota from everyone that build a nation,Europe, America wasn't built by leadership effort alone,it was built and maintain by the followers, the leaders only give direction.
The same number of you who blame leaders for everything will still go home and bypass your electric meter, the same common man who claim to be victim is the one who sits at his/her office and demand bribes to do what he's being paid monthly to do.
Large number of you are worse than the leaders you castigate.

The same set of people who cast aspersions at the nation, who sees no hope will be back after 10yrs to come and invest in the same shitty country,90% of you who had left will be back when you 65yr and above to come and enjoy your so called retirement at home, some of you will be back with terminal disease and will pass on the burden of looking after you to your relations who never left, your children that had left with you wont be here to look after you,it is still the same sys6and people you are running down that will take care of you at your old age as most of you can't live in old people's home abroad.
what does that say about you?
HYPOCRITE in capital letters

It is not everyone that left with their kids that those kids get to give them joy,Check the Private schools scattered all around the country to see the number of rotten kids being shipped home to have their life mended.
Check with those Nigerians in UK and US,they will tell you the number of Nigerian kids in prison or remand home, they will give you the statistics of Nigerian kids who had dropped out of school.

traveling most times is about securing your future and that of your unborn. Most businesses fail in Nigeria as the odds are stacked against you.

No light - petrol and diesel cost

Local, state and federal taxes-

Competition - once one business booms all Nigerians begin to do it till it cast e.g- catfish business, uber, bike logistics.

Try agriculture - herdmen and kidnappers are waiting.

Dishonest and theiving staff.

Someone has 3m but no business acumen or street sense. How will he succeedhuh

Abeg let them japa in peace. 3m is nothing these days in Nigeria too.
You need to have stayed in business for long to be able to nurture it into what you really want.
there are transition time in business,no be the day wey you startyou go dey make money and when you start making money immediately,be discipline with your spending and save for the raining day because that Lul period with come, you can only survive it if you have long term flair of staying in it,not just to run it for a while make money and be distracted.

My point has always been if you are able to save such an amount from a legit business, you are good to go,all you need is just to go to forum like this and listen to genuine business advise.

My guy ₦3m no go reach you live for a whole year in europe or North America without paper.

I want us to talk about job creation,i want us to talk about business ideas,i have seen so many people with modest savings (₦3-₦5million) wanting to jet out of Nigeria at all cost,i have also seen people wasted such money and time yet they can't reach their dreamland.

I am not against anyone traveling out to seek greener pastures or on holiday, what i want us to examine critically is this attitude of wasting fortunes, money that is enough to start life with.

I read through a post of a guy with ₦3million savings not too long and I read all sorts of advise, but the one's that moved me most are those people who keep dishing out small scale business ideas, they did not only dish out ideas, they gave practical examples and knowledge, those ideas and knowledge prompt me to ask myself this question that why don't we want to start Small?
why don't we stay back and build a life instead of running around all the time?

insults are welcome

You lose nothing even when you are not admitted, you still have your money intact.

Your ₦3m is around $6k which won't sustain you for a whole year in any of these Top rated countries, it's next to nothing when converted to foreign exchange.

Elon Musk produces electric cars and high powered batteries called Tesla Power Wall with 20 years warranty.
The reality is that Elon Musk is making the oil which we are still spending billions to search for in the North to become useless.
Some gas and coal power plants in UK are on the verge of shutting down because many homes can now generate their own power and even sell excess back to the grid using Power Wall and solar.

Countries like UAE and Saudi Arabia seeing the 'danger' posed by Tesla are developing futuristic models to diversify from oil which may not rebound as demand remains low coupled with the impact of Covid19.

Nigeria which failed to plan is now in a tight corner, UK and France in 2019 have already declared a 10 year deadline to phase out all petrol and diesel cars. This was what happened to coal driven locomotives years back when oil and gas was discovered.

Nigeria seeing Elon Musk gradually taking down our sole source of revenue resorted to taking loans from China, IMF, world bank, Brazil and babiya Allahring cheesy for help from every corner of the earth in taking care of either insecurity or Covid19.

Now that we have over borrowed and the likelihood of repayment from oil is now slimmer and our creditors are no longer ready to grant us more loans we are resorting to stealing people's money that are dormant in the banks to pay civil servants salaries instead of looking for the owners of the deposits and dividends grin
Some of you keep fall for that boogie been sold by the western world that oil will be useless.
They may have diversify or reduce dependence from cars and machines that run on hydrocarbons, but i can tell you authoritatively that there are one million and one things that oil will power i. future, the fact science and technology has not developed those things yet does not make oil useless.

If oil were to be useless as being peddle by the western world, how come the United State still posse's the largest oil reserves?
How come US is drilling for Shale oil from the rock's?
Do you know the cost of drilling for Shale triples that of Normal hydrocarbons?
How come Iraq and Libya is still under US direct/indirect control with the view of adding Iran to it?

My guy wake up, òyìnbó just dey sell us bobo,if oil were to be in their domain that would have been the end
