erico2k2: story, the bank you are sending to has to be listed B4 U press send unless you were using Western Union! or one of them remittance company if bank nor get $$$$ U don enter one chance cos they will offer you Naira at CBN rate! my friend feel into that trap. This new policy is meant to force operators of Bureau De Change to physically carry their $$$ from abroad and lodge in a Nigerian bank for payout with the hope of I increasing forex in these banks, however, they failed to factor in the cost of transporting such funds and the insurance involved plus taxes in transferring such funds. Must you collect at a bank that does not have USD? Some of you just find fault in anything without testing the system. i was at Stanbic ibtc transacting and someone cashed out in Dollars right before my eyes |

Athemisia: But you know there's no way these companies and banks will completely be geniune about dollar payout. You wet wan collect money no know how much you wan collect? For as long as your money was sent in Dollar, enter any of the bank that operate Remittance payment,if GTB Bleep up enter first bank, zenith or uba,you go see one wet go pay you. |

Athemisia: And how did CBN expect these aboki's to get the same dollar? Unless CBN is working hand in hand with them too. Most people who get Remittance spend them on living, there is 99% that the money will be change minutes after emerging from the banks, who changes currency other that aboki's If you know the worth of what these banks and Remittance companies cornerd in the name of Remittance fear go catch you. If they are here for genuine business, let them do it the way law proscribed. Pay people in Dollars and let them do whatever they like with it. Banks are still paying in Dollars |

good4all40: So you think everyone that lives in Nigeria has a Domiciliary account?
The policy is from the FG even World remit and other international remittance companies hault transaction to Nigeria except you have a Dom account then you can receive your money in USD. I repeat that is not true. Western union,Ria, MoneyGram have been here before world remit and the new entrant's,When world remit and the ilks came the policy is that everyone must be paid in naira, that was what made nigeria attractive to them, they opened accounts with our local banks and pay people in naira for their remittance, they go back and sell the Dollars remitted at black market rate making more money. Do not forget that the policy of naira payment for every inbound remittance is to take pressure off the banks from demanding Dollars from CBN to pay people, unfortunately the Remittance companies in conjunction with our local bank did not make it work, rather for naira to appreciate it depreciate the more. That makes CBN to switched gear that everyone must be paid in dollars.knowing fully well that an poor Person will head to Aboki to change to naira thus making Dollars more available, making it easier for those that needs small forex for little transactions |

good4all40: I can relate with this, if you don't have Dom account it is impossible I transact online too and it is currently very difficult, l use my friend PayPal account in Canada and he will send me Naira equivalence almost immediately. Liar, walk into any bank of your choice and receive your money in US dollars except your business is not legit |

yorke1: Good move by the government. I now receive my money in Dollar and change in a very high rate using Aboki. Most of them don't know the exact policy they condemned, they don't even know the recent policy is to their advantage, they only follow bandwagon. The policy is simple ANY INBOUND TRANSFER MUST BE PAID IN REMITTED CURRENCY OR US DOLLARS WHEN SUCH CURRENCY IS NOT AVAILABLE. what is so difficult in that? |

Such policy is wrong and unwise. Can you state the policy you just condemned Just want to be sure you know what it's all about or you are just following the bandwagon |

We've forgotten Nigeria is never about Buhari, APC or PDP, you cry about non securing a job while your comments on the internet can drive a potential investors away, you cried about the tourism industry, while you hides behind your phone and type many unprintable words about your nation! If this terminal was built in Ghana or any country , you'll be surprised how they'll be quick to commend the project and compare with Nigeria, but it's built in Nigeria you'll read irritating comments from many that has vowed never to be happy when there's good news from the country ! Nawa for una o Check most people that make such senseless comment,is either they are pained that they aren't in government or those who are not making any progress in their personal life, everything looks like failure to them |
