God created man in his image and likeness, and is constantly molding us to become like him. But the romans created God in their image and likeness and forced man to worship him..foolishly without stopping to think we have mumushly following them and has become rebels to our creator..

When will it end? When are we waking up from the brain washing...just when??

Before i leave this thread, let me share the Good News of God's Kingdom that is fast approaching with you! smiley

God promised that a son will be born in Israel and his name will be called:
Wonderful Counselor
Mighty God
Everlasting Father and
Prince of Peace {Isaiah 9:6}

Jehovah further promised that to the Peace that this son will bring there will be no end! Isaiah 9:7

God promised through Malachi that before this child begins his works a forerunner will do the work of preparation for him {Malachi 4:5} and it happened just so, John the baptist did started a campaign throughout Galilee calling the people to prepare for the coming of the Messiah and many were going to him as a sign of their heartfelt repentance towards the Covenant between God and their nation! Matthew 3:1-6

29 years before then shepherds saw angels declaring the birth of this child, astrologers from Babylon came and alerted the king who wanted to kill Jesus.

All these were stories in the Bible so your Jewish teachers may deny it all since none of us witnessed any of these events and it's written by Jesus' disciples who were rejected and vilified by the Jews in the first century.

So what EVIDENCE do we have today that Jesus is the REAL Messiah and what you are arguing about presently is about him?

Well i said from the beginning that it's about the Good News of God's Kingdom.
So what assurance do we have today about this Kingdom?

Jesus has come, accomplished his earthly assignment and handed over the remaining job to his faithful disciples amongst whom he chose twelve to serve as "Apostles" or "Governing Body" and Jesus declared that all Power both in heaven and on earth has been given him {Matthew 28:18} but before then Jesus told this Governing Body that whatever they bind on earth has been bound in heaven and whatever they loose on earth has been loosen in heaven! Matthew 16:19

So after Jesus' departure Jehovah fulfilled His promises to Abraham and 120 Jews were BAPTIZED with God's Holy Spirit {Act 2:1-3} signs began following to confirm this New Covenant {Joel 2:28-30 compare to Act 2:16-18} and ever since then the faithful followers of Jesus Christ kept the hope alive by copying what those first century Jewish disciples of Jesus wrote even if it means dying for this truth, that's why these documents have survived till today!

In 1914 Jesus returned to visit his followers and take away the born again to start his government in heaven but Satan has changed so many things to the extent that the real faith Jesus left was lost {Exodus 18:8} that's why Jesus began correcting the views and beleifs of the one and only group that's prepared to humble themselves. After which Jehovah accepted this group and called them by another name "JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES" Isaiah 65:15

Ever since then the PEACE JEHOVAH promised has been permeating this group while all other religions are SCATTERING {Luke 11:23} most spirit filled and powerful are the Governing Body of JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES today as they are commanding the greatest and ever peaceful army under the heavens in fact God's promise has never been fulfilled like this before when a global family of peace loving worshipers emerged! Isaiah 2:2-4

So whether you like it or not, Jesus has become King in heaven and we (JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES) are the earthly Witnesses to the truth! Act 1:8

May you have PEACE! smiley

Read it from the beginning of the chapter to the end. The sign was for king Ahaz. It was an assurance for him..
He was scared that Syria and the northern kingdom where going to end his blood line. So God sent Isaiah with the sign to assure him that his kingdom will still be intact. If you continue reading you will see the time frame given for the sign. If you also continue reading to 8 verse 18 it says " I and the sons the lord has given me, we are for signs and potents for the children of Judah....

This is how the judgement will most likely end if one does not give his life to Christ.

Revelation 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works to. 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

In summary, Jesus will give one a fair hearing so that one can see that one deserves to be doomed.

There will be no aquital.

Modified:

If one gives his life to Christ he will not be judged at all.

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

They will be judged based on their works.

Romans 2:1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. 2:2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
2:3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
2:5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
2:8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, 2:9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
2:10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
2:12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
2:13 For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
2:15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one anotherwink
2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
Looks like Paul is saying man will be judged based on their actions. There is no where it says anybody must give their life to a fictional jesus.
Just my observation.

Christianity EtcRe: Is Jesus An Angel As Claimed By Jehovah Witnesses? by sonmvayina(m): 7:43pm On Jul 30, 2021
Christianity is not a new revelation. It is a continuation of Paganism by another name. The gospel story of Jesus is not a biography. It is a Jewish reworking of ancient Pagan myths of the dying and resurrecting Godman Osiris-Dionysus, which had been popular for centuries throughout the ancient Mediterranean.
The stories told about Osiris-Dionysus will sound familiar. He is the Son of God who is born to a virgin on the 25th of December before three shepherds. He is a prophet who offers his followers the chance to be born again through the rites of baptism. He is a wonderworker who raises the dead and miraculously turns water into wine at a marriage ceremony. He is God incarnate who dies at Easter, sometimes through crucifixion, but who resurrects on the third day. He is a savior who offers his followers redemption through partaking in a meal of bread and wine, symbolic of his body and blood. The Jesus story is a synthesis of the Jewish belief of the Messiah with Pagan myths of the dying and resurrecting Godman.
The conquests of Alexander the Great had turned the Mediterranean world into one culture with a common language. This created an age of eclecticism, much like our own, in which different spiritual traditions met and synthesized. Jewish mystics of this period, such as Philo Judeas, were obsessed with synthesizing Jewish and Pagan mythology.
At the time, both Pagans and Christians were well aware that the Jesus story was a myth. The early Christians, known as Gnostics, understood the Jesus story as allegory, not history, and even called Jesus by the names of the Pagan Godman. The Gnostics were brutally eradicated by the Roman Church in the 4th and 5th centuries.
The Gnostics had synthesized Jewish and Pagan mythology to produce the Jesus story and many other extraordinary Christian myths largely unknown today. The Roman Church was a later deviation, which misunderstood the Jesus story as history. It was, as the Gnostics said at the time, an imitation Church teaching a superficial Christianity designed for the masses.

Roman Christianity, and all its subsequent offshoots, is based on the idea that if you believe in the existence of an historical Jesus you will go to heaven when you die. The historical figure of Jesus has been so central to Western culture that it is hard to question his existence. As soon as we hear his name we can see him in our mind's eye, in his flowing white robes, with long hair and a beard. Yet this picture of Jesus was not created until the 8th century.

The fact is that everything we think we know about Jesus, like this romantic picture of the bearded savior, is a creation of the human imagination. Actually there is barely a shred of evidence for the existence of an historical Jesus and this dissolves on closer inspection. Paul, the earliest Christian source, shows no knowledge of an historical man, only a mystical Christ. The gospels have been thoroughly discredited as eyewitness reports. Other bits of traditional evidence, such as references to Jesus by the Jewish historian Josephus, have been shown to be later forgeries. If solid evidence had existed, there would have been no need to have created such fabrications.

Perhaps within a generation people will look back at the beginning of the 21st century and be amazed that a culture with the technology to travel to the moon could see the fabulous story of Jesus as anything other than a myth. It is truly the greatest lie ever told, because it has been thousands of years in the making.
Christianity EtcRe: Can Anyone Give Evidence That Jesus Ever Walked On This Planet? by sonmvayina(m): 7:30pm On Jul 30, 2021
Let's get some facts about Jesus, as opposed to religious beliefs about Jesus, straight...

There is no contemporary non-biblical evidence to show that Jesus ever existed, certainly not as described in the gospels and other New Testament stories.

The very first reference to Jesus, even in the NT itself, wasn't written until nearly 20 years after his supposed death. This is the First Epistle to the Thessalonians, written by Paul (Saul of Tarsus) in either 50 or 51 CE.
The very first non-biblical reference to Jesus was written by the historian Josephus in either 93 or 94 CE. This was Antiquities of the Jews, however, it's known that at least part of the references to Jesus in this work is a later forgery, probably added by a Christian scribe retrospectively trying to authenticate his beliefs.
The gospel stories of supposed events in Jesus's life weren't written for several decades after the events they purport to describe, often as supposed eyewitnesses. The earliest gospel, that of Mark, was written around the year 70 CE, whilst the last, that of John wasn’t written until around the end of the 1st century CE. They have no known authors, and they weren't given the names we know them by until the latter half of the 2nd century CE.
The gospel stories of supposed events in Jesus's life, including the claimed miracles, are purely mythical and are updated and contemporised versions of supposed miracles performed by several characters described in Jewish and Greek mythology, both of which were well-known to the people of the time. This theological literary technique even had its own name, midrash.
The birth stories of Jesus as described in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke, not written for between 80 and 90 years after the supposed event, only agree on one thing; that Jesus was born in Bethlehem. This is, however, nothing more than a supposed fulfilment of an ancient Jewish prophecy in Micah 5:2 describing a "ruler over Israel" being born in Bethlehem.

There is no non-biblical evidence to show that Jesus as portrayed in the Bible ever existed, let alone that he was whom the New Testament claims he was. Neither do any records exist to show who the person on whom the biblical Jesus was probably based, was.

The biblical claims and stories about Jesus, and his family, were for one purpose and one purpose alone, that of convincing the naïve, superstitious people of the 1st and 2nd centuries CE to follow the new religion of Christianity.

God said he would do it letter shows us how he will do it through becoming a man a son

Jeremiah 31:31-34

31 The Lord says, "The time is coming when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah.
32 It will not be like the old covenant that I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand and led them out of Egypt. Although I was like a husband to them, they did not keep that covenant.
33 The new covenant that I will make with the people of Israel will be this: I will put my law within them and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
34 None of them will have to teach a neighbor to know the Lord, because all will know me, from the least to the greatest. I will forgive their sins and I will no longer remember their wrongs. I, the Lord, have spoken."
...................................
Now taking about the new covenant to the one who will come he says

Isaiah 42:6

6 "I, the Lord, have called you and given you power to see that justice is done on earth. Through you I will make a covenant with all peoples; through you I will bring light to the nations.
.........................................
After saying it he prophecied his coming son

Isaiah 7:14

All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’).
You are trying so hard to hold on to a lie...it is not called "Go SPEL" for nothing. It is a spell.

The new covenant is God writting his laws in our heart. Nobody will go from door to door to teach you to obey them. It will become effortless..

Common the Isaiah 7: 14 is about an assurance for king Ahaz..The woman was already pregnant when Isaiah was prophesying..stop twisting it....

God's laws are truth, the way and the life....and light.

This statement has been thought to mean that Jesus is something less than God the Father. However this is not what Jesus said. He was not comparing his nature with that of God the Father. Rather he was comparing their positions.

He Was Lesser In Position When He Came To Earth

When Jesus came to earth he came in the form of a servant. This is also known as His humiliation. The Apostle Paul wrote.

Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although he existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a human, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross (Philippians 2:5-8 .

Jesus Has Now Been Exalted

Jesus has now been exalted. Continuing his thought in Philippians, Paul wrote.

For this reason also, God highly exalted him, and bestowed on him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-11).
Summary

The fact that Jesus said, "My Father is greater than I" has led some to conclude that he was lesser in nature than God the Father.

However this statement refers to Jesus' state of humiliation that he took when he became a human being. It does not to have reference to his basic nature.
The bold is my problem.

When did God say his son was coming to change his laws or start a new religion or covenant where he has to sacrifice his life or men has to kill him to appease him.
I have read the old testament.. I have not seen it anywhere..
So where did Mathew, Mark, Luke, John and Paul get the idea from ?

Clearly what they wrote is not eye witness account..

So where did they get the idea from...Not from the old testament because the old testament says in Isaiah 45:5 " I am the Lord and there is no other....beside me there is no God.. "

Please explain.

The Messiah is not divine or a deity...he is a normal human like us..He will make human revere their creator by obeying the universal divine laws...

Peace will reign...

I wonder how Jesus could do all this and still be lesser than his Father?

He is 100% God and 100% man! Which makes 200% God man. But his father remains at 100%. Jesus can even do many things his father can't do! He can shit. He can live in the human womb, pass through the birth canal, be protected by other humans, Eat, drink, feel hunger, die, cry, receive lashes of beating and even worship his father! I don't think the father can do all this!

But why do you say he is 100% man when man can sin? If Jesus can't sin then he's not 100% man.

And Jesus when alive with his 200% God-man status was still limited in knowledge! And when he died the God part didn't die but the human part died yet he remains human but with no blood cos the blood was shed...!

How does all this makes sense to you guys?
In Christianity..it does not have to, they just typed it. They don't even believe it. They know it is just jargons...

Well, what else can I say ?
