@Snowland boss abeg follow exactly what @VTJN said. There's nothing more or less to add. He nailed it completely with his suggestion
This country is so corrupt that every damn thing had to be man- know-man, tribalism, nepotism, sentiment and padi-padi. Some even flawed the Ops rules by sending the anonymous link to the giveaway thread canvassing aggressively for votes for their own person not until Op condemned such act and asked to be deleted. After they would be tagging those in governance being corrupt forgetting we're of no difference

henrybangs44: They have corrupted your minds with the belief that you must suffer in life. I enjoyed my father's house, I never settled for less in the name of "I must suffer first". After service I went back to my father's house because everything's there. When I got three jobs and declined because I can't come and go and live in suffering in the name of " I must suffer first " becuaee I know what I'm worth. The job I accepted had to provide me with accommodation, pay for light and transport because they know what I can offer.
Now I'm doing well, taking care of my mom. I stopped her from doing any job that will take her energy even though she likes being active all the time. All my siblings are getting change from me.
All that mentality I never believed and I'll never believe. Just develope yourself in the most comfortable environment and be good at what you do. When u are good u ll never settle for less. I developed myself in my Father's house while I was enjoying at the same time.
My mates that have left their Father's house after service are still struggling with meager salary because the salary and the job won't let them develope themselves or invest in other ways.
Someone collecting 30k a month and is stressed at work... How ll u develope yourself? U can be doing this job for 5 years without anything to show for it... Only the fat that you are surviving.
Now I have a plantation that I employ people to look after it for me You are lucky bro probably that phrase "SUFFER BEFORE ENJOYMENT" was meant for people like us who came from extremely poor background. You know we don't have a choice to life than to accept what life's throw at us. Op was even fortunate to had a place to lay on with a job (though meagre pay) I'm still job haunting. No merriment for poor man in this yuletide season |

People are talking about using this to start the fight against the rampant bullying and cultism in schools and you are here talking trash You can put up your view without using foul words. The person you mentioned did made salient points. Parents/guardians takes the chunks of blame of those kids. The school were only guilty with the fact that they weren't close monitoring and they are bent on sweeping the incident under the carpet. They couldn't afford losing any students through withdrawal by their parents. Bullying and cultism are found not only in school (day/boarding) It's everywhere. He made a solid point stating government failures in their duties. He put up ideas which could help curb all these menace to some extent in the society |

Career › Re: Highest Paid Paramilitary Personnel In Nigeria? by Spherical77(m): 8:41am On Dec 08, 2021 |
JoshuaSG: Most of the comments trailing this topic seem to portray the mindset of average Nigerian employee and are consistent with my view on the average worker, especially the government ones, in Nigeria.
Imagine, the op is seeking information on the monthly salary (legitimate income) earned by employees in the agencies, but most of the trailing comments rank the agencies on the basis of shady earnings by employees.
The worst part is that the op has not disproved some of these comments to, as some members always do, stress that further comments be based on the monthly salary. But can we conclude that his silence on that mean that he subtly wants info on both 'normal and abnormal' earnings?
This is consistent with my knowledge of trends about employment and productivity in the country. Many, if not most, job seekers in Nigeria are not prepared to rely on employers' regular package for jobs. They always want to make some fraudulent income at the cost to the entity, not minding whether such threatens its success or survival.
This corrupt attitude appears to have been culturalized and has been called different names (additional income, chwachwa, etc) especially in the informal sector which is next to the govt where this practice has become the norm.
This corrupt mentality is part of the unnoticed problems of investment and employment creation in the country. It has run down many promising businesses and has caused many entrepreneurs to shift from investments in profitable ventures that generate mass employment to investments in other profitable businesses with either less employment capacity or low income jobs.
These days, it is a common trend among the rich in the country to invest multi-million or billions of naira in businesses that the family can manage with little or no outside hands. In Abuja, as in many other cities in Nigeria, there is a growing number of multi-billion naira worth of filling stations, hotels, and investments in property businesses. The current trend is against the manufacturing sector which has the capacity to engage different categories of worker ranging from professionals (Accountants, Economist, Engineers, Biochemist, Micro biologist, etc) to unskilled labours.
One of the reasons for this change in trend is the fear of loss of investment due to corruption and fraud on the part of management. Some believe that the more the size of management engaged, the more the part of reinvestible profit, and even capital, is lost to stealing by employees. Remember, separation of ownership from management is more pronounced in the manufacturing sector than any other sector in business world .
The conclusion drawable from the consequence of this corrupt and fraudulent employee attitude in the country is that some of the problems confronting the national are internal and self-inflicting as they are caused by Nigerians themselves. So apt Almost everybody, if not all in this country are corrupt. We are ready to bankrupt business owners with our criminal minded, greedy and shady act. Sincerely, i fear who no fear us (Nigerians) There are many Nigerians in diaspora willing to establish businesses in Nigeria but sadly honesty is hard to come by amongst us. We cry foul about our corrupt leadership. Forgetting we aren't different from them. We all are guilty of it. It's in our DNA |

Went to school under this man's administration. Graduated under same leadership and got unemployed under same regime
God! I never supported this man. Neither was i involved amongst the electorate who vigorously canvassed for him, shouting sai baba! Then later graduated to 4+4
Look at me today, i was way better before his arrival to the presidency despite coming out top of the class
Sadly; Nigerians are likely to repeat same mistake electing incompetency, criminals, corrupt, old cargos amongst many others
My question is, when would i and other average Nigerians out there come out of this shackle and mess we found ourselves? Why must i find it difficult feeding just my mouth only at this stage of my life?
Please, whosoever had the means to help with a job or loan to kickstart my business should please endeavour to help. I got a nice and promising business that i could venture into
Please have mercy on my aged parents and young siblings. They are all i had. |

I am in one though I don't have need for that at this moment. Just follow up n get updates. I have seen many leave this country via those group updates n rest.

He only spent 800k from Nigeria here on flight n some miscellaneous only to get there n paid school fees n processed visa but some persons who are novice in this would v paid agent up to 2million just to get there n find out the so called visa is even on arrival.

Family › Re: #DowenCollege: Bad Parenting Vs Bad School Training. Which Is To Blame? by Spherical77(m): 2:14pm On Dec 05, 2021 |
yemi1504: Bad parenting is the issue here, the responsibility of a child falls mostly with the parents as the buck stops with them. The parents have more contact hours with the children than the schools as the school can only do so much. However, the school is culpable here by not accepting responsibility and worse hiding the identities of the criminals (and yes they are) and their parents. You are right. No school teaches and encourage students to join cultism, bully and assault themselves, beat up teachers et al. Some of these children are spoilt from home. Which could be either bad parenting or total disobedience from them. These bad children will go out and influence the upright ones. Especially in boarding school. You know the school staffs can't be with the students 24/7. They could be doing all these cultists of a thing at mid night. They'd always find a way to hid their dirty shit. The school is definitely culpable for not being responsible and trying to sweep everything under the carpet. Heard this isn't the first iccident of students being bullied. Infact, this particular iccident the school attempted to hid it away from the public as usual by shutting up other students who witnessed the iccident as they tried to explain to them. The school is just after making money. The school management knows the parents of those killers. But because their parents are rich and well connected they couldn't speak out Boarding schools cannot stop existing. However, a reform should be made. How can they mixed junior and senior students together in the same hostel? Parents should have access to their wards on phone at least 3 times weekly. Senior school should be demarcated away from junior school. They shouldn't access same cafeteria, rest rooms, lecture halls, sport facilities amongst many others. There should be a counselling department in the school that'd be counselling the students. Through that, they could easily deduce what individuals might be passing through (psychologist come into play) There should be mandatory monthly visitation by parents and all nooks and cranny of the school should have CCTV camera This would also go along way in curbing all sorts of crime in boarding school |

I think going back 6 to 7 years ago.. Boarding houses were worse than this..

We remember how school vs school fights used to be back in the days..
