occfx: They should be practicing in one hospital as Eliza while schooling. A lot of young graduates don't know anything. They are not creative... They just do what they read school verbatim. Science is more of creativity and practical
You cannot practise because you do not have a license. You are a student and not a quack. Besides, the moment you involve yourself in anything other than your studies, you will struggle academically...and will eventually be withdrawn.
You can talk about other graduates. But you see these courses I listed? Don't try it. Even when you put in 100% effort, you may still be withdrawn
Marvyx: Omoh, I wrote projects for people. That's good money. In my time I wrote for 15k. Now I learnt it's like 70k for undergraduates. If you're good and can handle like 5-10 students, that's good income for every session. Top it with printing and photocopy.
Running of errands, cleaning services, POS, barbing and making of hairs at student price. If you get sewing machine, carry am go school sew at lesser price. So many things people around me made money with.
U dont understand what i mean. Like go to work 6am to 6pm today and then continue 6pm today to 6am the next day?
You will work. I used to drink coffee ,chew kolanuts to stay awake. If you sneak out to eat ,bathe or even take a nap, they will look for you oh. You are the doctor on call. You will work the work!
Bylaw: Please is it like working like today from today 6am to 6pm the from 6pm to 12am =24hrs
Then 6am to 6pm=36days
Or is it 6am to 6pm u go home then return 6am to 6pm
You work 8am to 4pm,then continue 4pm to 8am the following day..Then 8am again same day to 4pm again..and so on..till the number of days you are expected to work.
98% of doctors in the teaching hospitals do this. It's "Normal Duty"(8am to 4pm) + "Call duty"(4pm to 8am) Weekend call is 48 hours already..8am Saturday to 8am Monday and you continue your normal Monday work till 4pm. If you were on call on Friday,as it was the case with this doctor,it means you will work 8am Friday to 4pm Monday .. Continuously. I suffered it too. I almost quit,if not for the opportunity to japa.
omoadeleye: Doctors is government hospitals doesn't really stress themselves at work as you people envisaged them
Doctors are driven by their selfish interests when working in government hospitals
There are doctors that rarely visit the clinic or mostly doctors can go on two month leave and when they resume to clinic they only just sit down while mostly work are done by the nurses.
The only time a doctor get to work themselves out is when they go out to do their own private Jobs in private hospitals.
So you people should stop being selfish to blame government at every woes commited by an individual
Obviously, you don't know how the teaching hospital operates. There, you must work ..and also study. You are undergoing training.. Some departments are worse. I guess the people you are referring to are the consultants. This young doctor just resumed this work only 9 months ago. Worked for 6 months with no pay. Just as they started paying,he passed on.
You think resident doctor is just a title? They Work! As in expected to RESIDE in the hospital and WORK!
Bylaw: Do you mean 12hrs straight or 72 hours straight? I don't understand.
Is there anywhere in Nigeria you will be asked to continue working from day one 12hrs then continue 12hrs night then thr cycle continues till 72hrs? You no baf? Freshen up etc?
You don't know what's going on.
My very first work as a doctor in the teaching hospital as housemanship,I worked 247 for 7 days straight.
I fainted one of those days cos I didn't eat for over 20 hours.. and nobody cared. No time.
I immediately realised everything was wrong with the system, took my foreign exams and moved.
I'm at peace now, working in a saner clime.
I'm however very sad about this Dr Femi's death. I knew him personally...He was a very respectful and lovely personality.
The very painful aspect is that he had passed his foreign exam and was just preparing to japa.
They can even rape subordinate and nothing will happen except victim shaming and subsequent dismissal while protecting the CEO. Infact, they believe it's their right to have affair with you, part of the reason you work under them is to satisfy their unending sex.ual urges
This one even had a consensual affair and he was still nailed. Chei..
kpankpangolo: Someone should explain how a leg amputation can lead to death when the person does not suffer from diabetes.
1.Amputation made her immobile, lying in a place..increasing the risk of blood clots leading to a condition known as pulmonary embolism since she was not ambulating.
2.Amputation is a major surgery and the risk of infection is high..And in the wake of fake /substandard drugs plus antibiotics resistance, chances of being able to manage overwhelming sepsis slim.
Mccullum: Every woman mostly loves their children than husband, either being single mother or not, this will comes out fully when those kids became adults, and many husbands understand this at their old age.
True.
I love my children more than my husband. My children cannot throw me away but husband can decide to do away with me and that's valid. Husband belongs to the street. My children belongs to me.
After five years of dating, a young man finally decided to propose to his girlfriend.
To everyone’s surprise, she turned him down on the spot.
The emotional moment quickly went viral, sparking mixed reactions online about love, rejection, and what it really takes to build a lasting relationship.
What is he proposing for?
Men have nothing to benefit from marriage. Wife is not part of a man's family.
She did well..at least,he doesn't have to waste his money on a venture he will not benefit from.
OP wanted to shame this girl..a student whose main goal in life now is to graduate. But his fellow men are not taking it easy with him. He is not getting the support he expected from his guys.
ediko5: And who's and where's the father of the child? Isn't this the highest level of irresponsible lady? And indiscipline to give birth to a child with an unknown father?
KiNg0G: As a man from a poor background struggling day and night trying to make ends meet in his early youth age is there any chances he can one day get to marry a wealthy lady in the future unexpectedly.
I mean we have so many wealthy people in nigeria, go to the north, the west and even the east. Generational wealths, politicians, companies owners, car dealers, rich rich folks like I can't help to think who do their daughter's marry to.
This baffles me so much, Will it be possible for a bricklayer to get married to the daughter of a senator Just for once one day in Nigeria. Or a phone repairer getting married to a daddy go daughter and more
I'm asking this questions for myself because of the dream I had few years ago about the wealthy family I married into, that's why I am still single waiting. Pls advise me if I am wasting my time or it might one day come to pass. I should still hold on
Men prefer to marry DOWN because they want to CONTROL their wives It's very difficult to control someone you are not feeding
So even if you meet an averagely well to do lady ,you will take her for granted. Collect her money and flex with jobless hungry girls.
ZaraArewa: There is something that has been bothering me. I have been dating this guy for a year and he's not really committed to the relationship, he has not introduced me to any of his family members nor his friends, each time i ask he will brush it off with his sweet talking skills and kissing. One of the main problems i have is his high demands for sex. He's always in the mood to have sex. Pls house do you thing it's normal for someone to love sex that much?
Feel free to criticise or throw insults at me.
He is not serious with you. He is just using you to satisfy his sexual urges. He is either married with children or has a serious girlfriend he hardly knacks, preserving her for marriage.
Use your common sense
By the time he turns you to baby mama,he will be the first to join his fellow men and insult all baby mamas as being wayward.
