RomanceRe: What Made You Lose Interest In Someone You Were Wooing? by spiceadole(f): 6:51pm On Sep 07, 2018
MariaLavina:
Because they were raised by people with reverse logic.

To a Typical Nigerian Man, A lady is expected to be less knowledgeable, quiet, more of a listener and most importantly be a follower. Even in conversations you tend to dominate, you talk about what you want and not what interest the lady. Most times you bore us out. grin. Worst is if a lady flows too much , she's a flirt, talk active, desperate etc you judge her.

Another point is manner of approach. I cannot count the numbers of messages I've ignored on my social media accounts because of this. Can you imagine who wants to chat you up for the first time starting a convo with "Sup" . Like seriously? A quick check on my profile will should show you the type of person I am. But no, they won't do that, they just want to sup!

And another is most guys these days are looking for who to date Not just friendly conversations. It's like everyone is looking for love.I can't imagine enjoying a good conversation with a guy only for it to go all mushy all of a sudden. Like shooting your shoot? Hell no! Don't blame me if I go cold with the same alacrity.

Accept it or Not, Most guys who claim to have conversations with Whites compose themselves better than when they do with the blacks. They pay more attention, construct the languages better and present themselves well. So Sir, It isn't really our fault. grin
You have said it all.

Imagine some random stranger on social media starts a conversation with

Hey Babe.
Sup Honey
Sweetheart
Love of my life
My bae....

And seriously expects me to reply.

This person is not even intelligent but will come to nairaland and complain about ladies not being intelligent on chats.

What concerns Yoruba man with Akwa Ibom lady?
What do they have in common?
.. Ntoro uduang ufok people. For that matter.

I sincerely blame the lady for having anything to do with a yoloba demon.
I also blame her family for not advising her appropriately.
Yoloba man that keep mistresses in every town?

What ever happened to getting one Yoruba lady pregnant and Marrying her for free?

Must he marry from akwa ibom?
Men from akwa ibom have been marrying and are still marrying Akwa ibom women without complains.

Yes! Some lists can be exorbitant but people do bargain.
Besides, marriage doesn't end one day.
So you provide what you can..

Ah ha... Bros, You don't have to lie.
In real life, men actually prefer endowed body to brain.
At least, the body attracts them first, not brain.
The lady knows her selling point, free her jare.

The number one problem of wives is their murder-in-law...
You are not alone in this.

Naturally, women hate their sons' wives.

Just go ahead and have kids.. With your education and exposure, you should not scared of her empty threats.

Bride thrilled the audience as she dances for his husband who uses crutches on their wedding day. This is real love, despite his condition!

http://gistmore.com/bride-dances-husband-uses-crutches-wedding-day-photos
This has nothing to do with love.. Real or fake.
Women do not have choices.
Besides, a man with crutches or on wheelchair, deaf, dumb, blind is better than no husband at all.
The lady is happy she is married.
No more ridicule from society.
Her married friends who stopped communicating with her will resume the connection.
Her mother will stop reminding her that she is supposed to be in her husband's house.
Nairaland boys will stop calling her "ashewo".
And if the guy has some money..
She is made.
100% pride.

Which makes me wonder... Why do men get married?
They have absolutely nothing to gain

RomanceRe: After Planning Our Wedding For 3 Years, they Say I Am Not Wife Material by spiceadole(f): 8:55am On Aug 30, 2018
Beke2020:
Dear Jzhane,

Please hide my ID.

I am very hurt. My wedding was supposed to take place last Saturday but it was called off without any explanation.

I met my man through my mother’s friend based aboard three years ago. We had our marriage introduction 2016 and we planned the wedding for April 2017 but sister was like we should postpone it reason is that for the brother to come down to Nigeria that the UK embassy don’t take absent of a spouse because they wanted to do it in his absent.

He begged me to wait that I should please bear with him it was not easy for me because already I have told people about my wedding and the date.

My ex has four sisters and they are kind of very close so involved them in everything he wants to do which I don’t have problem with that. His mum accepted me and me I love her took care of her like my mother even the sister who is out of marriage is staying with her mum with four children I love her too.

Fast forward to when the date was pick which is 25 of August that we started having issues.

It was his sisters that shopped for my wedding things which I complain that I don’t like the color ,they said the list I gave them was too expensive which is the hall and food ,I got a hall of #160 they got a hall of #300k near their house not even the bride side I never complain ,they said after the wedding I will stay with mother in law and sister which I said no due to distance and the nature of my work.

The worst of all that happened is that my ex was telling his sisters every thing we discussed both the argument and my chat he was forwarding it to them. His sister in Nigeria was telling them all manners of lies against me and they believed her.

They put pressure and fear on him not to marry me he has to call off the wedding after buying things for the wedding. He is around in Nigeria now and I try to see him but his family are refusing me seeing him because I don’t have his Nigeria ‘s no.

I was told that he said he love me but he scared based on what they told him. That I am not a wife material. That I will control him and drive him out because he stays in US.

My mother has been begging them but they refuse to listen.
He even blocked me since then. His cousin told me they already found another girl for him.

What do I do,I dated this guy for three years. I love him. I already have done introduction. Everybody knows I am supposed to be getting married. The scandal is killing my parents. If this guy still loves me,how do I win him back? He never gave a chance to explain myself. What did I do wrong?

Or should I really move on? After three years? Where do I start from?

https://livelystones.com.ng/after-planning-our-wedding-for-3-yearsthey-say-i-am-not-wife-material/
Your major problem is that YOU MUST HAVE ALREADY ADVERTISED AND BRAGGED ABOUT GETTING MARRIED ON SOCIAL MEDIA.

if not, I don't see any big deal about it.
The family don't want their son to marry you.
Do you intend to force yourself in?
You should be happy they showed they don't like you.
RomanceRe: Men Who Patronise Prostitutes Versus The Prostitutes by spiceadole(f): 7:28am On Aug 28, 2018
There will always be prostitutes
And men will always patronise prostitutes
Sex sells... And will continue to sell.
And if you have noticed.. From the reactions so far on this thread, men actually prefer prostitutes.
Little wonder why ladies of easy virtue marry better husbands and earlier Compared to their "decent" counter parts.
After hoping from one bed to the other, she ends up with a very good man..
But Good sister, nko? She will have one steady boyfriend for years, does all the domestic work, graces his bed alone.. Bros gets bored with her awkward style. Goes to the club, picks a prostitute who knows the game better.
Before you say Jack, he dumps the good girl and marries the prostitute.

A number of the runs girls in my hostel during university days are married.... Some married "abroad hisbands",very wealthy men...

A lot of the good girls are single and frustrated by men.

It's the sad reality of life.
No amount of condemnation will change that reality.
Hence, this thread was unnecessary

He reminds me of one of my patients.
Handsome 6 year old male, sustained a fracture of right humerus while playing at school.
Parents took him to a traditional bone setter.

By the time, he presented to us in the hospital, the hand was gangrenous (dead).

He was already septic.
We did an emergency amputation.
People always prefer the traditional methods to going to hospital in all aspects including child birth but when complications arise, they remember the hospital.
And at the point, expect doctors to perform magic.

NOBODY SHOULD PATRONISE TRADITIONAL BONE SETTERS.
THE DAYS OF IGNORANCE IS OVER.

The wife of a man who has ego can never be successful. He would always pull her down, stunt her dreams and make her lesser than him in order to massage his useless ego.

It is foolishness for you as a man to marry someone that can't take executive decisions in your absence. I'll rather marry a lady who can hold a board meeting on my behalf in my absence.
This is what most guys say on social media.

You are correct. One of the reasons why i don't like this inter tribal marriage of a thing is because the mode of communication in the house would be English and once that happens, it won't be possible for the children to understand and speak their native dialect.

But when you marry from your tribe and mode of communication at home is native, then it will definitely be easy for the children. All my children by God's grace must have ibibio names and they must speak and understand the dialect.
Surprising to know.
When Ibibio parents now prefer to give their children direct English names.
That thing annoys me ehn.

Am also not a fan of inter tribal marriages, for other reasons too.
There is no fun like speaking your native dialect to your spouse and children.
This is Nigeria.
