I will advise you as follow: 1. Visit a "babalawo" 2. Do a juju to hypnotise him into resigning his work. 3. You will be surprised how sweet it is to stay around 24/7 with your husband and he will be etternally grateful to you for this. This is what I did when my wife was overworking herself and didnt have time for me. In case you don't know any babalawo around you, call me on 0803333333419 to give you one's number that is very potent. Good luck. ![]() |
DAAR Communication is unarguably the most troubled "public" entity in Nigeria. It is no doubt the proverbial cat with nine life. It has been one problem after another. I pray it come out unruffled again at the end of the day. I pity the poor man. |
laudate:Please note that the Chirs Ubas of this world can not do anything except the have the backing of Aso Rock. And thank God the old man has gone to school. Am sure they dare not do anything stupid now. What about Ehindero? Watch out for what will become Adedibu soon. Their guts hve always been from Obasanjo. Baba is arguably the biggest political mistake Nigeria has ever made. I stand to be corrected. |
Nigeria's Supreme Court, this afternoon, reinstates former governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi. The current Governor has been directed to quit office immediately. The full story (as told by TheNews' site) http://www.thenewsng.com/modules/zmagazine/article.php?articleid=16694 In a landmark judgement this afternoon, the Supreme Court ruled that former governor Peter Obi of Anambra State should go back to the Government House as governor of the state till March 17, 2010. The court also ordered that the incumbent Governor, Cheif Andy Uba, should vacate office as he ceases to be governor as from today. In the lead judgement, Justice Katsina Alu said INEC erred in law by conducting election in Anambra State when Peter Obi has not served his four-year term. The court ruled that the four year tenure of Obi commenced from the day he was sworn in and will terminate on 17 March 2010. All the six justices of the apex agreed with the lead judgement. They all agreed that a governor should only vacate office four years from the day of assuming office. They said Obi had not served the constitutionally stipulated four years in office. The Supreme Court justices said a fuller explanations of the judgement will be given on 13 July, 2007. Obi was not in court but his deputy Dame Virginia Etiaba was in court. As at the time of filing this report, there was jubilation in Abuja by supporters of Obi in court. In the second case involving former Governor Rasheed Ladoja of Oyo State who also sought an extension of his tenure, due to his impeachment, the apex court referred the matter to the high court for adjudication. |
The first question we should ask ourselves is: why was marriage working then and it is not working now? The reason marriages are having problems has to do with our inability to differentiate between its benefits and its purpose/value. A lot of people have the wrong view of the purpose of marriage. We now see marriage as a contract or how can one describe the pre-nuptial agreement as it's done abroad. or the open marraige syndrome a la Will Smith. I read an article on the web sometimes ago and I will try to paraphrase it here: The rationale for marriage is not so people can share in each other’s insurance and retirement benefits. It’s not about inheriting someone’s property. Benefits are conferred upon married couples because marriage is important to society. Although the benefits of marriage certainly encourage marriage, they are not its purpose. Most people nowadays marry because of these benefits and that is why it is not successful. Marriage is privileged because of the tremendous impact for good the institution has on the culture. Marriage, with its uniquely positive environment for procreation and the rearing of children, is worth maintaining for the perpetuation of society and the future of the nation. A happy, healthy marriage remains a top goal for any sane person. Most eventually want to marry and want those marriages to last. Marriage provides an amazing list of benefits for children. Children that grow up with their own two married parents are more likely to succeed in school and in social situations. They are also more likely to marry and to succeed at their own marriages. A long-lasting, stable, healthy marriage also provides many benefits for adults. Compared to their single or cohabiting neighbors, research shows that, on average, married men and women live longer, have better mental and physical health, report being happier, have higher incomes and build more wealth. Strong, healthy marriages also benefit the community. Healthy marriages are the building blocks of healthy families. Healthy families are the foundations for strong, healthy communities. Marriage helps couples save money and build wealth. |
I believe that to excel in IT you must know something about everything. There is no doubt that IT still revolves around coding, or call it programming if you like. Even a good networker still needs some knowledge on coding. You want to issue commands, you want to edit system registry etc etc. My advice to the poster is that you must love programing, because you will meet it sooner or later in whatever specialisation of IT you find yourself. The earlier you take to this, the better. |
I am surprise to see how passionate people can be about Super Eagles. Super Eagles? Not on the dime! I will prefer to watch my blues than wasting my time about papa eagles. To be frank, super eagles is just a reflection of project Nigeria. A country where nothing is not likely to work. When you have a buch of "alawadas" as administrators, that is what you get. The truth is if you bring an angel to coach the Super Eagles, he can't perform. The Lulus there are only interested in their pocket and they will do everything possible to frustrate you. Did you see the list of Yar'Adua's ministers-to-be? This country is pinish! Wallahi! |
The news had it this afternoon the Mr. Segun Adeniyi, the brilliant and pragmatic editor of ThisDay newspaper has been appointed the Senior Special Assistant on Media to President Umar Musa Yar’Adua. http://www.thenewsng.com/modules/zmagazine/article.php?articleid=16394 At first, the news sounds comforting. This is because Mr. Adeniyi is seen as one of the compass since the advent of this nascent democracy. He has used his position as the Editor as well as the anchor of his column in Thisday on Thursdays to expose many atrocities at the corridor of power. Pondering about past cases however, one is bound to think twice. We have seen the so called radicals suddenly metamorphosing to reactionary elements the moment they get to power. At least I still remember Dr. Livi Ajuonuma with bitterness. Here was a man who would use every opportunity available to him to criticise the government and her policies. However, the moment he was appointed the GM of NNPC he turned his eyes to the atrocities he used to criticise. This is just one out of thousands of people who have garnered the confidence of the prople only to sell it at the dangling of political appointment carrot. What about Aunty Remi Oyo, Dr. Onagoruwa, Dr. Tai Solarin et al So, what is it that make people change the moment they get to the seat of power? How are we sure that our dear Segun Adeniyi will not use its last blood (apologies to Professor Iwu, the INEC boss) to defend Yar'Adua anti-people policies (God forbid)? Why? Why?? Why ![]() |

Madrid is toping Barca on the table because of head to head rule and NOT ON GOAL DIFFERENCE. In La Liga, the team that has the best result in the league matches is on top. The amount of goals scored is not taken into consideration. In the two matches between Madrid and Barca, Madrid had the better record by winning 1 and drawing 1. Barca actually have the highest goal difference. So except Madrid drop point, they will eventually go home with the trophy. This, I pray against them losing point, in Jesus' Name. Holy Ghost Fire! arrest the legs of Barcans. Let Madrid win at the end of the day. Amen Fire! Fire!! Fire!!! Fire!!!! Fire! !!!! Fire! !!!!! Fire!!!!!!!! Fire!!!!!!!!! Fire! !!!!!!!!! A colleague sent this to my mail box and I think I should share it on Nairaland. It goes thus. A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a N1000.00 note. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this N1,000 note?" Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this N1,000 to one of you but first, let me do this. He proceeded to crumple up the N1,000 naira note. He then asked, "Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air. Well, he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. “Now, who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air. My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth N1,000. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless!. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, YOU WILL NEVER LOSE YOUR VALUE. Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, You are still priceless to those who DO LOVE you. The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO WE ARE and WHOSE WE ARE. You are VERY special Don't EVER forget it." Count your blessings, not your problems. And remember: amateurs built the ark , … professionals built the Titanic. If God brings you to it - He will bring you through it.

On Wednesday, May 16th, 2007, Fate Foundation organised a Fate Business Workshop titled "Customer Service For Your Business Growth" It was yet another refreshing experience. It affords one an opportunity to see customers in a different perspective. At a time, I couldn't help but imagined what effect it would have had in refining our contributions to Seun's "What do you Hate about our Moderator" thread. There were two lectures. The first is "Customer Service Secrets that Work" by Mrs. Tolu Sadipe, CEO of Westlake Consulting and the second: "Using Great Customer Service To Ensure Business Success" by Miss Collette Ochonogor of Citigroup. I am converting the materials of the workshop into presentation and I promise to send it free to all interested. You can send me a mail at oijimere@yahoo.com, in case you are interested. FOCUS: Type of Customers: Potential, Existing, Former and Indirect How to Identify and Attract Ideal Customer Satisfying your selected Customer Importance of Exceeding Customer Expectations Tools for Maintaining and Increasing Customer Base Foundation of Great Cstomer Service Customer Service Chain The Triangle of Service Service Recovery |
Having a joint means you must give reason for every withdrawal you have to make. In fact, If you give your dad N30,000 this month expect that at least N30,000 must also go to your spouse's next month, if not this. There are some commitment that you just want to do without telling anybody, your wife inclusive. What of having a personal vow with God and you dont want to make it "public"? So my advice: Joint Account can be opened for common family commitment, while you are still free to open your personal account for other personal commitment. But the question is: Can we have faithfulness on the part of the couples in this regard? It is easier said than done! |
While I will not condemn it, I will NEVER encourage it. What works for one will not work for nine. However, I will never do it for anything. It is a needless distraction. |
Nice contributions. You guys are good. Well done! What are the symptoms of Hepatitis generally? Where can you have the vaccine? @ any hospt |
I salute the courage of Aloofaa and support him on this thread. This essence of a forum of this type is to share idea and at the end of the day come out better informed. And that is exactly what he is advocating here: Contributions Expectedly, I am not surprise at the introduction of jab along the line, afterall if there is no war, there can't be peace. Even our "distinguished" Senators throw chairs. We are still in the learning stage and we will get there. Now the issue raised by Aloofaa is two-dimensional: The product and the Grammar issue. 1. I agree completely with him that it is a big minus on the part of Insight to have used other logo. It is an unpardonable one. My worry is if this is an oversight by Insight, does it mean it was not vetted by Phb? 2. Comming to the grammar area. I want to point out that any language is a "living" thing so long it is still being used. And what is language for all I care? so far somebody can understand what you say or signal, it is acceptable. It then becomes an academic exercise when you start classifying words into this and that. In Lagos for example, several slangs have indirectly been added to our lexicon to an extent that even "corporate" people subconsciously find themselves speaking it. Paro lo, Go on soun, Jehun soke, maa begi fun e are good examples. A Briton may even find it a little challenging if he travels to America. Reason: American English is different from British English. This is not only in spoken but also in written. The coming of the IT and its resources have not helped matter either. When you hear people say things like: Can you use Windows?, Come and Java with me, If you can't find it, Google it and please make sure you yahoo! me today, one should know that we are in a different world. A world where any statement is correct so far you can prove it and where you can not say a statement is incorrect except you belong to the system. |
No cause for alarm. This is English Language and it is semantically ok. If Tyson is not defined as verb but Noun and can still be used as a verb, Phb can. Bros, it is correct! |
@ Aloofaa If "I will Tyson you" can idiomatically mean I will bite your ear and "don't maradona me" can mean don't dribble me, methinks "we help you PHB your dream" may mean we help you realise your dream. Or what do you think? |
Suffice it that it is not every one that finds himself in it that wishes it. One Hausa adage say only a man that is dead can not be recreated (literally) My prayer is: May we not find ourselves in any situation that will necessitate it. [s]Amin e po[/s] |
No responsible man will ask his wife to resign her job without a "responsible" reason. A man that is doing that for ego or other ulterior motive is doing that to his disadvantage. Afterall, which husband will not be happy to have a help meet (that is their primary reason anyway). Somebody to share in the burden of taking care of the family. However, I will consider it for a good number of reasons and that may either be for her own sake, my sake or the family's. It must however be with her consent and I will have no excuse not taking care of her responsibilities. |
Very moving. It shows the vulnerability of a mortal man Our irresponsible egoism couple with its irredeemable consequence Tx poster for the message. The lesson is worth far more than 52 sunday schools put together |
Why is Seun pucturing this story? May be he becomes to the same association with this landlord at Surulere. You know, ogun-based landlord and surulere landlord [s]adie kii jefun ara won, e shaaaaa mo![/s]. |
Nigerians are mere pretenders. It is very hard to find religious people in Niegrai of today. If you see an overzealous brethren, chances are that they want something from God. If you dont ave dough in the church, you are never reckoned with. Have you seen any yuppy pastor with one-legged wife. Nay nay nay, they will go for the most beautiful sister in the church. Na condition make cray fish bend. If not for condition you for no see anybody for church. Nigeria! Nigeria!! Nigeria!!! - The land where money dictates everything |
