And if she's not a virgin she must move in with you to test compatibility?.
If she is not a virgin....then there is nothing special again na? We can live together and get married if it works out and if it doesn't fine. Is not a do or die affair

lol @ high earners. This my guy, I like you already.
The question should be how many Nigerian youths are high earners?
Then we would have to arrive at a consensus on what we consider high earning.

Even on NL here, how many of these low self esteemed female bashing misogynists on Romance section can boast of earning above 50k. Majority of them are still dependent on their parents, no job, no hustle...plenty anger...
Banking has been the highest employer of labour, try take a sample (you've proven to be a 'good' statistician) across banks in your neighbourhood_ come back and tell me the ratio of male to female.
Even Ministries...

Except for male dominated sectors, my brother...I am sure there are plenty women in the workforce.
Why are our young men marrying late, not building houses, driving fancy cars...if they're actually earning HIGH as you postulated?

The problem is, when push comes to shove_ the average Nigerian woman would pick family before career. That's why it looks like in the long run, there are more males. More reason I sometimes wonder what some of you guys want.

I no even understand this your particular thread. Abeg, explain give your babe.

As for many 25year olds living alone...lies.
How many Nigerians are full graduates (that's inclusive of NYSC @ 25?)
Even if na business man, when im start? Leave talk jare. Nigeria hard for everybody.
I appreciate your honesty and your clear depiction of reality. Seems I have found myself a new friend on NL....hello paperlace...

"compatibility" is not tested by moving in with a man, we are suppose to be married with the bed undefiled, moving in already gives room for that.

You can test how compatible you are from mere assessment, just know who you're planning to marry enough.
you see I don't have a problem with that as long as she is a virgin. But if she is not a virgin all what you have typed should find its way to the bin

I kept thinking to myself where all these successful female leaders would have been if they were dependant on men to push them forwardhuh

I am at the essence of a woman setting her future as priorities first. No wonder why one man can just talk anyhow to his wife just because she is "nothing"
There is a difference between thoughts and reality; perception and discovery...I assume you are still at the nascent stage of grasping reality...

Zaronxpanol:
@ OP. If you aren't up to 35yrs old, pls work hard and build up your income, and don't be in a hurry to get married. If you are more than 35yrs you can get married due to age factor. Truth be told with 70k you can get married but you will live a struggling life. Even if your wife earns more than you, her money is not yours and she expect you to provide the basic while she support you but not always....No woman feels happy when she is playing the role her husband is suppose to play, even if she is a pastor's wife, she may smile and help you, but deep within she won't be happy. your ego may also be affected indirectly, except if you are naturally humble and tolerant....It takes a humble and confident man to marry a woman who earns more and support the house.....
But my money is our money?....lol...

PDP in disarray.

Nnamdi Kanu in tears.

iPod in shambles.

iPod miscreants being arrested for constituting themselves into public nuisance in the UK.

Subsidy removal is being hailed by eminent Nigerians.

Nairaland us waxing stronger.

What more can we desire than a total obliteration of all those who desire to see Nigeria in shambles??

God is indeed working in Baba and Nigeria's favour. smiley
The truth is right where you are, you are roasting. Then you come up here to put up an appearance that you are feeling fly, because this is a faceless forum right? I do not care where you belong pdp/apc but this illusion that makes you feel you are attached with the ruling party and it makes you immune to the present predicament (double digit inflation) ravaging the country is laughable. If my Uncle who is a businessman and an Apc chieftain in IMO state, complains about double increase in production cost and low profit and has to increase his wokers wage based on compassionate grounds and not increase profits despite money realised from party activities. I am a fully registered member of the Apc and I even doubt you are. It beats my comprehension how you (obviously a nobody) come online forming immuned yet suffering&smiling. I have come to realise that people like you have no life except on social media, because if you are in the middle-class, you will understand how your basic cost of living have increased over 100percent. With your wage constant (I hope you understand what that means). I trust I did not just quote a lad sitting in the remote areas of Nigeria whom social media constantly makes happy...

FamilyRe: Beware Of Jobless Men With Strong Diçk! by SSpeter(m): 3:10pm On May 09, 2016
Vivalavida99:
Beware of jobless men with strong dick!

Single ladies, especially hardworking ones should always resist the temptation of marrying jobless men in the name of love, sex or worse still to be labelled a ''married woman''. The love of a jobless man is fake, is not real, and is conditioned by poverty.

A jobless bachelor can hardly be a ''jobful'' husband! A man who could not take care of his basic material need as a single man cannot perform magic when coupled in marriage.

Poverty has an amazing way of humiliating and humbling a man thereby making him lose the very essence of his manhood--a deflated ego that accepts everything.

Poor and jobless men are always the most attentive to your emotional and physical needs.

They often make good bedroom bully, they major very well in sex and all the spoils of it--but be wary! It’s often a well-honed skill to escape poverty under the shadow of vulnerable rich women.

When these men are rehabilitated financially from the labour of their partners they always tend to recoil back to the real man poverty has hidden all this while. Their changed economic status automatically changes their taste and social comportment.

They seek their real woman outside the confines of their matrimonial boundary. Hence cheating and infidelity crept in. Their wives become object of hate giving way to domestic violence.

So, if you want a fulfilling marital relationship steer clear of all these smooth talking, flattering and emotionally supportive randy men without any sustainable means of livelihood-----‘’Ndi-oji amu eri’’. Fine young "boys" with empty pockets.

This admonition maybe difficult to adhere to in a society where women are pressured to marry in order to enjoy societal validation. Where chronological age maybe running higher. Where the so-called ‘’men of god’’ adduce spinsterhood to phantom spiritual enemy and sins.

But in all this, we still have our individual life to live irrespective of the unjust demands of the society.

So, rather than marry a lousy, lazy and good-for-nothing-man as husband, single parenthood remains a reasonable option to realise full-fledged motherhood.

A financially comfortable woman with children is happier without cashless husband

Single motherhood has never been a sin neither is it punishable by ‘’hell fire’’.

It is simply a choice and a way of life!

But it is good for a man to marry a jobless woman? I know you are Igbo. Truth is most Igbo ladies from not too do well background often see marriage as an escape from poverty. I am Igbo too. I have an aunt who got married at 37 back then her hubby in his early forties only had a box (shop) with a rickety desktop and claims to be an engineer. My aunt sponsored the wedding undecided, and we were all happy we supported the dude and today he does not only fix computers he travels to China to import as well..my aunt was fired later and she joined the hubby in the IT business they have 2kids... and they are happy. Babe you first work get money first before you begin check whether your partner is loaded. Nothing stops you from making money....
