Kepa has thought through the implications of his actions. He would have been benched thoroughly and then put up for sale. This is damage control at its best.
I am predicting a Buhari victory. Not because I like the man, but because Nigerians need to be taught a very bitter lesson as to how they saw a President with some good in him, despite all the problems with his administration (GEJ) and they opted to choose Buhari.
So for all those who voted Buhari in 2015 and are lamenting, your lamentations are not complete. You must fully enjoy the 8 years of change you voted for. FULLY!
Did you expect Atiku to win there? Keep your stupidity to yourself. Igbos are not the only ethnic group in this country that have been shortchanged by APC.
diadem10: No wonder Atiku is salivating over nnpc. He knew the corrupt folks in nnpc would so much love to fully take over and that's why he is onboard with the idea of selling it to them like he did with our airways. Ole.
Despite Buhari administration earning 60% less yet he's come up with plenty projects such as
Our railways at itakpewarri, Lagos-ibadan, Lagos-Abeokuta, kaduna-abuja etc,
The production of low cost fertilizers,
Zik maoseleum
Baro inland port,
Kaduna inland dry port,
Port Harcourt/Abuja airline terminal,
Rice mills,
Foreign reserve increase from $26b to $43b,
Construction of our express highways such as enuguonitsha, Lagos-ibadan etc. Social policy schemes such as tradermoni, npower etc
Payment of all pensions of airline staffs that were forced to retire after the shambolic privatisation by Atiku. PDP didn't pay them in the last 16 years.
And most especially, stabilizing us through this recession which happened because jonathan failed to save despite earning 60% more than Buhari coupled with the fall in the price of crude oil from $110 per barrel in 5 years under Jonathan to a paltry $50 per barrel under Buhari administration yet Buhari was able to keep us afloat while surprising Iweala and Soludo who all predicted recession in the coming years regardless who wins between Jonathan and Buhari in 2015.
PDP, Neva again.
You have started this your nonsense again.
The PH and Abuja airline terminals were not built by Buhari. They were paid for with a loan taken from the Chinese government and that project has been on for years. Nigeria is going to repay that loan eventually. China does not recognize single individuals. They only deal with governments. So even if a donkey was president of the country, that donkey represents the entity they are dealing with, which is the Nigerian government. Government is a continuum.
Oil reserves are up because oil prices are up and Nigeria was exempt from the initial OPEC production cuts. Wait until the next round of cuts is implemented. Then we will see the magic that will push up our reserves.
Besides the terminals are not yet working. I do not know why people like you engage in endless propaganda. Away with PDP and APC. Let us have young blood like Tope Fasua, Sowore or Moghalu.
Gerrard59: While it's possible to earn #750K in Abuja, it's rare to earn same in Calabar. A place where the economy is in doldrums? Who will pay you 750K?
Regarding the thread and general relocation, I believe people should comment only when necessary especially in a thread like this which is private. Yes, we know Nairaland is open for all to view, comment and share. But trying to argue that Canada is better than Nigeria or telling folks willing to relocate not to is ludicrous. Till thy kingdom comes, Canada is BETTER in every ramification than Nigeria. Folks should even be happy people are resigning their well-paid jobs. Invariably, this frees up space for the next set of smart individuals who will later relocate.
Moreover, it's not only Nigerians that are relocating to developed countries. Citizens of China (residents of Hong Kong), South Korea and Singapore are doing same and these are well-off nations. How much more Nigerians?
Mbok, anyone who desires to relocate has the prerogative to do so as long as it's legal.
OP, ride on, I dey your back like hunchback.
Where in Abuja are such salaries paid, except you are a top bank executive? I sure will like to know.
grandstar: I thought there was free movement for Ecowas citizens? What if they have their passports?
You can only stay 90 days without a visa in an ECOWAS country. Once your stay will exceed 90 days, you must have a valid status for such extended stay. Either you are schooling, doing business or working. The regulations are very clear on this.
Guy, you need to up your game. Women are naturally turned on when you are extra nice to them, tell them sweet words the whole day (or two if need be), and you buy them gifts. You have to warm the engine to get optimum performance from it.
You can't just cold start an engine and hope to start driving it to the max. And did I hear you say you force your way sometimes? Sex without consent of the other person is rape, even in a marriage setting. Don't do that please. Your wife is not a pleasure object.
seborrhic: Pls don't say that rubbish again.Rafa kor,Alfa ni! The best coach Chelsea has had are in this descending order:Mourinho first era,Conte and Ancelloti. They should either go get back Conte or snatch Allegri from Juventus if they can afford it. Sarri should be sacked this night and no compensation paid for bringing the 'club to disrepute'.
Rafa won two titles in less than one season at Chelsea. That he is even keeping Newcastle United up with less than average players shows his coaching acumen.
BIAFRONIGERIAN: Which southeast, when the average Yoruba woman can open leg for just one plate of ewedu, in fact Oshogbo girls are so cheap that my guy had 13 body count with different girls in one month. He only took them to a local mamaput and the rest is history.
There are existing stats. Besides a new sentinel study has bene ongoing for the past 6 months and we should have the latest figures by next month. The NACA Chairman was on TV recently and attested to this. So blaming ethnicities and all is useless.
jackyraw09: i have a company registered in my name but have never paid taxes before, can i just pay it once in order to have the certificate? thank you
Yes, FIRS has a calculator on their website which you can use. Then get a tax consultant to do it for you.
Why did he no go to work on the numerous projects being done by Redeemed, Winners and the just concluded Dome built by Dunamis? Reverend Adeboye himself said that many carpenters who would have committed themselves to work in one of their projects could have built personal houses because there is so much work to go round for years to come.
Government migration laws have not covered freelancing in most countries. An exception is Germany where freelancing is a recognized profession and freelancers pay a specially created tax to the German government. Requirements are to ensure you can take care of yourself for the period you will be there and that you have non-immigrant intent.
Your best bet may be to register a business name and travel as a CEO. But then, you will need to produce a tax certificate. Alternatively, look for a friend who is willing to give you the accompanying letter as an employee of his or her firm. The 2nd option goes against my personal principles, so you may have to go with the 1st option.
When you take funds belonging to your state to send all your kids abroad, while children of the poor attend schools without roofs and chairs, God will look upon this action one day and require it of your hands.
Alexk2: It is my business first because I'm a Nigerian and secondly because I'm a Christian with good knowledge of the word of God.....consequently, I can't understand how the Bible can justify a church building universities with or without members contributions and members/christians can't attent such higher institutions; I don't see how God can be happy with such arrangement. The common justification is that of "spreading gospel" but we know practically speaking, it's either not entirely true or the products are not significantly different from public institutions after all we have campus fellowships and churches in our public institutions too.
If you read my line of thought very well, you'll understand I just don't see why it's necessary for churches to go into building universities that won't have direct benefits to her members and Christians at large. As far as I'm concerned, there are so many other beneficial ways churches can help build the educational systems some of which I've highlighted above. Finally, I want you to know that almost all public institutions in Nigeria are heavily subsidised so that it can be affordable to more nigerians. If govt can do that, churches are expected to do more with her universities. If the running cost won't allow them, then starting it all together seems to me as a wrong priority. Shalom!
You are free to attend public universities. I hope u know ASUU just went on strike because of funding of universities.
Funding of education is not cheap. I have degrees from a public university in Nigeria and others from Universities abroad. The difference in standard as well as cost cannot be quantified.
These Foundations misguide parents. Why are we going all the way to India and Dubai for heart surgeries?
The Salam Centre in Sudan which is run by an Italian heart surgeon is right there. I am also aware that the Chinese have setup a heart surgery centre in Korle-Bu teaching hospital in Ghana. Even Egypt has renowned heart surgeons.
With N70m, is it not possible to invite renowned heart surgeons from South Africa or even the Indians down here? I thought LASUTH had facilities for heart surgery. So why all the foreign trips to India and now Dubai?
But what do I know? Foundations are now using these cases to make money. I am very sure that revenue sharing between parents and the foundation was an issue that led to the delay in travel.
