PoliticsOkonjo-Iweala: Is She The Messiah We Are Waiting For, Or Do We Look For Another? by stagger(op): 7:19am On Oct 22, 2011
I need to ask this question because this subsidy removal plan of hers is going to affect Nigerians negatively.

I have begun to count the cost of such a move to my business, which will definitely go up at a time when I am already hard pressed passing on the same to consumers.

I am considering moving to Benin Republic as a result. Personally, I have witnessed the effect of the policies of these World bank economists starting from 1986. I saw what the introduction of SAP by Chu Okongwu and Kalu Idika Kalu did to the standard of living of my family as a boy. Now I am having to face similar choices as a man and frankly, I need to give my kids better option.

I have a very deep and concentrated hatred for these world bank economists, and when I see Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala talking on TV about this their "growth of the Nigerian economy" at a time when I see all the poverty around, my blood just boils uncontrollably.

Personally, I will like to see her and the haters of the Nigerian populace who have done nothing but stolen this country blind, dragged on the streets like Muammer Gadhafi.

Some will argue that she got Nigeria's debt profile reduced, but I think Nigerians were not told the true story of the cost of that process. I have never known the Paris or London Club of creditors to be that magnanimous when dealing with third world countries.

IN CAPITALISM, NOTHING GOES FOR NOTHING. France and Italy were promised a large chunk of Libya's oil rights, which is why they led the NATO bombardment to take down Gadhafi.

Why should Nigerians pay so much money for something produced from the riches under their feet? If indeed there is subsidy, why does she want the responsibility of feeding this oil cabal transferred to the Nigerian people, when refineries could have been built with the kind of money I know that many people are carting away in Abuja on a daily basis? (I know this for a fact because I live in the FCT and I know some of these people on a one-one basis)

Nigerians, we need to wake up! An unemployed graduate set himself ablaze for Tunisia, Egypt and Libya to be free. When do we wake up from our self-induced stupor?

CultureRe: which nigerian tribe respect elders more(with poll) by stagger: 6:47am On Oct 22, 2011
Almost every encounter I have had with Yorubas makes me wonder if they can still be regarded as the most respectful tribe in Nigeria. A girl from Osun state as young as my first child has once addressed me very rudely to shift for her in a line somewhere in Delta state. It was after I asked her where she learnt such rudeness from and why she was disappointing the Yoruba tribe that a few other Yorubas there began to berate her.

So methinks that the younger generation is losing it, and the Yorubas should pay more attention to teaching the younger generation because they are being lost to facebook and all the other junk we have in our world today.

I do not want to comment on my tribe because rudeness is their second nature.

Don't make the mistake of climbing Oshodi pedestrian bridge with your wallet in your back pocket. Put it in front trouser pocket and put your hand in there as well.

No try cross Cele bus stop by dashing across the road.

Of course, wetin go carry you enter bus wey get only "one chance", or making call in a car in traffic with the phone on the window side, or wearing expensive earrings in traffic (a friend's mum paid very dearly for this mistake; scars showing where the bling was forcefully pulled from her ears are a huge reminder)?

Download the MT4 platform from FxPro. The instrument is presently CLX1. It changes nomenclature when the contract expires. So the next one will be CLY1.

Crude oil is generally known as NYMEX.CL in the financial markets.

Confirmed!

Al-Jazeera has confirmed he was killed as his convoy was trying to escape Sirte in the early hours of today. Teh convoy was hit by heavy gunfire and bombardment from NATO forces and the NTC fighters.

Sad end! Would have loved to see him on trial.

Nice evening to you PIPle. There is a nice trade opportunity here on the EU. I don't really have much time so I'd do this quickly.

The EU prior to the short term rally, which my chart tells me ended some 2 days ago, was in a strong down trend. Today, after going back up to retest the 1.3870 stall/resistance level on the daily chart, the EU ended with a very nicely formed and well defined bearish pinbar; which indicates a strong price rejection of the mentioned level. There is also that downtrend line which price bounced off today to add further confluence to the short side.

Confluence trading is one important aspect that I failed to add in my free training session due to the workload I had. Confluence trading is a very important and accurate concept which could help confirm your entries, and this EU setup seems to have what I choose to call a triple confluence. What this means is that the entry is a high-probability one; not to say that it can't fail, cos BS happens in fx.

Perhaps I will write some other detailed guide in the near future where I will teach confluence trading extensively, as well as other of my advanced price action chart reading techniques. This will be based on a good demand from traders here as I won't like to spend 3 months writing a guide that no one will get to read; yes, I plan on investing that long in the guide so that it comes out loaded and explicit enough.

Back to the topic, this trade has a stop loss of 60 pips and a TP of 220 pips, which gives a R:R of 1:3.5. I have attached the concerned chart with entry details below. If you notice, I am selling on limit so as to tighten my stop. Given certain analysis I ran on the 4 and 1 hour chart, I believe that price should retrace and get me filled at my limit entry level before dropping down (if it will). However, if I don't get filled before price comes crashing, I will look for a 4hr entry.

Just as always, please be sure to take this trade with good money management; don't over leverage as this call could fail you!! A know fact: BS happens in fx!!!!

Have a good night and a splendid trading day tomorrow.

Google uses close more than 100,000 severs.

So whoever wants to get 1 billion visitors should think of how they will probably collapse a whole web host's network in one day before embarking on such a crazy idea.

Honeric1 (I think, I am not sure) asked me last week if I had a trade call to make, and I clearly said that I would place a Sell Limit for Dow closer to 11600. That was a week ago. The trade played out on Monday.

I still have a bearish sentiment towards the Dow. I will wait for an appropriate place to go short. But not before 11600.

I am not talking for myself. I am simply saying that for the sake of many followers of this thread who are still green horns, it is better for trade callers to explain their moves, just like BlogIcon, pip love-vendor, Naijababe and many others do.

That way, many will not be led astray.
BusinessRe: Forex Trade Alerts - Season 2 by stagger: 5:02pm On Oct 18, 2011
Is it not better for those making trade calls to explain the rationale behind their trade calls, so that newbies here will not be derailed? For example, all the GU longs called today have obviously failed. Even EURUSD has not made a definite decision on where it is headed.

Just my two cents though.

Why would anyone want to buy 1GB for 3,500, when 5GB is 8,000?

huh huh huh

They had better be careful. Already I have reliable information that UBA's 25,000 minimum balance policy has caused them to lose a radical number of customers and the policy is being seriously revisited.

MTN should be wary, before people start throwing away their SIM cards.

Good day for me on the Dow. I guess I will start looking at the longer time frames a lot longer. Had been waiting since Monday last week for this. I remember telling someone sometime of Wed or Thurs last week to place a Sell Limit order close to 11600; hope the person took it.
