It was announced last week on radio and TV. Try to listen to local news more often. |
honeric01:I do not think that the personal itinerary of an individual on this forum should be put up here for the world to see. Don't u think he deserves some privacy? |
I have thrown away my Airtel SIM. Not one Naira of my money is going to any Indian company. Bast, ards. |
OP, what the bleeping f$%ck are you doing? The woman I am married to today was in a relationship when I asked her out. It took me 2 years. You hear me? 2 long years. The harder I pressed, the more seeds of doubt were being sown into her mind about the other guy. Today I am married to her and I have no regrets. I learnt a lesson from my friends when I was in school. When it comes to women, persistence pays. It is not too late. She has not married the other guy. Tell her point blank that you will give her the world and use correct raps. You need to go and take lessons. It is all about the raps. Believe me, if I meet her today and rap her, I will take her from that guy. Why you dey even slack sef? How badly do you want this girl? |
KoolMaster:When you guys on that road were having light for 18 hours every week day before the PHCN office relocated, were you complaining? I beg make we hear word! |
pawa4ul:Please read my previous post and get enlightened about what is happening in your state. |
The problem in Rivers state is not power generation but distribution, as the entire PHCN network of distribution in the state has collapsed. The government is embarking on a project to rebuild the entire distribution network from scratch. It will take one year, so PH and its environs will be sure of almost 24 hours of light as from late 2012. This is part of why the government took the N250billion bond from GTB and Zenith Bank. Rivers state is fortunate to be able to have 65% of its income available for capital projects, and so has used this as a collateral to embark on ambitious projects like this. Same thing will be done for all outstanding road contracts. So patience is the watchword here. |
I did watch the Things Fall Apart film featuring a much younger Pete Edochie and Justus Esiri when it was serialized on NTA in 1986. Cartoons 1) Voltron (the defender of the universe; it was a huge hit). 2) Superted 3) Thunder-Sub 4) Battle of the Planets 5) Speed Racer (used to watch via NTA Aba where Cliff Ayozie used to be a presenter. He is the same Cliff Ayozie on NTA News 24 in Abuja; the guy looks young but im don tey for NTA o!). 6) Danger Mouse 7) Several Hanna-Barbera cartoons like Clue Club, Dynomutt (Dog Wonder and Blue Falcon), Scooby Doo, the Laff Alympics, Wacky races, Tom and Jerry, Atom Ant, etc. Foreign Films 1) The Incredible Hulk ( I believe that was in 1978 but I watched it in 1983 for the first time). 2) Superman II (also released in 1978 but watched it in 1984). 3) Breakin' 1 and 2 (the breakdance films of 1984; hugely popular). 4) Hawaii Five "O" featuring late Jack Lord. 5) Return of the Saint (70s version featuring Ian Ogilvy as Simon 'the Saint" Templar). 6) Some Mothers Do 'ave 'Em (1978 but watched in the 80s featuring Michael Crawford as Frank Spencer) 7) The Bond Series films starring Roger Moore as James Bond (Moonrakers, Octopussy, the Spy Who Loved Me, etc). I think I also watched two Bond films starring Timothy Dalton. Jane Eyre.9) Dr Who starring Tom baker (this was 1976 but I watched for the first time in the 80s). 10) Pop Rock (a musical program). 11) Good Times and the Jeffersons (these were in the 70s but I watched for the first time in the 80s). 12) Sanford and Son (early 70s but I watched for the first time in the 80s). Also had a few other programs like Magic Circle featuring Ali the Cat. That was the peak of my childhood and believe me, I still miss those days. I still remember that we used to scratch our sandals on the floor to make them smooth so as to be able to perform Michael Jackson's backslide. Parents started reporting to our Principal because they were having to replace sandals more regularly, so sometime in 1984, we had to start lifting up our sandals for inspection of our soles. Defaulters would get three strokes of the cane on the calf muscles; very painful. I met one of my teachers who used to deliver this punishment recently. Sadly she is now very old and is blind. Broke my heart to see her like that but such is life. The 80s rocked! |
GBPJPY is looking ready to get sold off pretty hard, with the inverted hammer and the doji forming at the 120.20 - 120.50 resistance area on the 4hr chart. Meanwhile, it seems 11,300 is a key trendline resistance for DJ 30. Naijababe, can you confirm this? |
segiade:This man, how can you put up your card showing the card number, expiry date and all the details online? Do you want these Asian and Eastern European hackers to f''uck u up? Na wa o! |
Instafx:Umpire + player + spectator. Na wa for you o! |
frenchman2:What you drew here is an ascending triangle. You got your upper trendline all mixed up. Yes, there is a symmetrical triangle, but you should draw the trendlines properly so you do not confuse people. |
NnamdiN:I am already having fun. U are the one who doesn't look like he is having fun. The lady has got her heart's desire. So enjoy your holiday tomorrow. |
owohblow:You need to rethink your business model. Did you send your wife for appropriate training on how to run a cybercafe? It will make a difference if you do. Study why your cafe is failing and re-position it. Many businesses fail not because they are not lucrative, but because of poor management. I really do not want to believe that a cafe setup in the largest city in Africa will fail. |
NnamdiN:I do not know if you cannot read. The lady requested for a Payoneer Mastercard, which I can tell you conclusively is not issued by any Nigerian bank. Now you are here talking of Naira Mastercard. Please keep your ignorance to yourself. It is not by force to comment on a thread. NJV:Please go to your email and just follow the instructions I sent. You will not need to spend any money to get your Payoneer Mastercard. Thanks. |
I beg to differ from most of the posters here and agree with the last poster who said it depends on the area. Where I used to live, there were only 2 cafes servicing that area and they are always filled with people day in day out. I recently visited and a third cafe has opened; all three are still struggling to cope with the crowd as they NEVER lack customers. Now that the exam registration season will soon kick off with UTME registration starting in December, it will be more business for them; you need to see the crowd in these cafes. It looks like most posters here are talking of the Lagos situation, but I tell you that there are many states in the North who are practically making a Macedonian call: come over to our states and setup cafes to help us. Where I live now, there are 2 cafes and they are always filled with people. Go to some universities and see how privately run cafes are brimming with individuals. So I do not subscribe to the idea that the business is dying. You simply need to do your feasibility studies and get your market valuation right before starting one. |
NJV:I have two Payoneer cards from 2 partners of Payoneer. I am shocked that someone actually came here to say that Payoneer cards are issued by Nigerian banks. This is a lie. If you have an email, I will send you a link to one of the partners where you can apply for a Payoneer Mastercard and receive it here in Nigeria in 25 - 40 days. IT IS FREE AND WILL NOT COST YOU ONE NAIRA! |
Ok, a new manual one will do. That way you save cost in the price, maintenance as well as the consumption of fuel in the genset you will use to power it in case of power failure. Do you have a number so I can SMS you the prices? Cheers. |
aloy/emeka:Show us ur own f!!ucking ugly picture. Na fine bobo like this u dey call ugly? katumu banza! |
LeoMax:Best advice but the deed is done. Get the matter charged to court before he is granted police bail, and in any case. he should pay before bail. |
You have to specify if it is manual or electronic, and if you want to buy new or used (not recommended from my experience). Also decide if a pump will have two dispensing nozzles or not. Also you need to stipulate what use you want to put it to: filling station use (in which case you also specify whether you want to use it for PMS, DPK or AGO), or surface tank DPK. Generally, PMS pumps attract the heaviest use, so you must buy a durable electronic one. AGO and DPK are not as used, so if you are on a tight budget, then you can get a new manual one. Price range: between N200,000 to N800,000, depending on which you go for. |
OP, It is either you write in good English or you write in Nigerian pidgin English. Your post is not making sense because you are not communicating in any way. Like someone said, it is not compulsory to open a thread. To answer what I could make out as your question, it is probably plain stupidity to get married without knowing the HIV and genotype status of the other person. Really in 2011, this should still be an issue? Nearly every church I know of demands results of tests conducted by a church appointed lab or doctor. |
Where my parents live, from 6 hours every two days, now they have nealry 24 hours power supply. I was there recently and I stayed four days; light did not even blink for once. I was told a new transformer was installed so the previous problem was a function of transmission and not generation. My area is still the same as it has always been: 20 hours of light daily, nearly continuous on weekends. |
meteorxtra:Mr man, why are you trying to force water down my nose when I refuse to swallow? If your robot is so effective, go to Europe and open a hedge fund manager's office, get a license and start. You will see the world's rich rushing after you with billions of dollars. Hedge fund managers collect 20% upfront and then commissions on trading. You will be richer with the same effort you are trying to use here to force us to buy what we do not want to buy. Stop spamming this thread, fool! ![]() How is the spam bot not picking this up for Pete's sake? |
When people post imbecilic posts like the OP did, you wonder whether the school they went to was just to fulfil all righteousness or whether the knowledge is to be applied. What is the minimum wage in Nigeria? It is less than $120 a month. In the US, the minimum wage is about $7.25 an hour, translating into $58 a day for a 9am to 5pm job type. So an average American worker warns in two days as minimum wage, what his Nigerian counterpart earns in 30 days. In the UK, it is 5.93 pounds ($9.13) if you are 21 years and above, translating into $73.04 a month for an 8 hour day. So a UK worker earning minimum wage makes in 4 days, what a Nigerian minimum wage worker makes in 2 and a half months! - How much does the average household or businessman spend on electricity generation? - How much does haulage of goods cost in Nigeria and US (check the distances in kilometers for both countries and compare over the road network) - How much does does it cost to open a corporate account, also factoring in the time spent on the process? - How many N20 bribes does a driver pay on the PH - Enugu expressway? (I have once counted 32 checkpoints on such a journey some years back). - What is the cost of cooking fuel in Nigeria compared with other countries? - Is there a functional rail transport system in Nigeria compared with other countries where goods can be hauled cheaply? And someone who said he went to school will be asking such a question? |
The DJ 30 is now range-bound. I have a strategy that tries to pick the overbought and oversold points in a range-bound market, which was guided my last trade. Still watching to see what happens, perhaps the indicators will align properly and trigger the signal.

The way I dey see these indices and commodities, e be like say I go take small time off from trading and study their market potential. If it is what I think it is, I will ask myself what I have been doing all these years. Anyway, the entrance of the Word giveth light, |
Well, believe it or not, my first ever DJ 30 trade (Dow) ended up as a success. Closed out 250 pips from my Entry Limit Sell on 10800 set on Friday. Not bad for a DJ rookie! I still dey watch am small small. |
illeet:Why don't you simply ignore the object of your aggravation and focus on those you say are the real traders here? You save those of us the neutrals a lot of eye pain trying to sift out useful posts from traded insults. Don't you think? |
superstar1:My friend, we are not goats! I have been doing foreign transfers from Nigeria and also in France and other West African countries. There is absolutely no justification for the arbitrary and crazy charges applied by GTB for foreign transfers. This is not a question of people not wanting to pay for services. sleekman:This is exactly what I am saying. There was a lady who was trying to anwser my post by saying they that the sender pays offshore charges. I would have pasted a snapshot of an email from a client from Europe when I made inquiries of monies that were taken out of my cash. They sent me a bank statement where the offshore charges taken by the sender's bank were clearly listed. The money arrived Nigeria $40 short. I thought this was just one of those things, but it has been a systematically regular pattern, and all the GTB staff I ask all deny knowledge of where this money goes. And they still collect their regular $10.50 for every withdrawal. Haba mana! Someone needs to petition the CBN about this! |
If you have N50,000 to pay for a sound business proposal, then you should contact me and I will give you some insight. I do business in Abj and as an employer of labour there, I can tell you what business will succeed where. |
shanda:Can you explain to me as a customer of your bank why it is getting costlier for me to perform any transaction in GTB? Your bank just raises charges, introduces new ones and what do we get as a benefit? Why is it that in Nigeria banks just take and take and take and give virtually nothing back? |
