Nope call them. There is a way they can put the subscription on hold until you have reception in ur area. Call them

Well, i had 1Mbps, 2 MAX at home. When i went to a properly covered area a few mins later... i was getting 27Mbps.

So dats 200KB/s on 2 bars vs 3.3MB/s on 4 bars. That's a serious mismatch right there.

Btw, are u off bundle. I heard something say it's slower when you are off bundle. I don't know.

Around Chemist Bus stop... I noticed when I move close to the base station, I get better speed on speed test.

This is almost exactly the speed i got around Chemist too. Lol

It should find it automatically. Chances are, your area isn't covered yet.

jeffy1206 bruv! Reception is bad in your area. You are managing reception from somewhere far away. Just like me. When they cover ur area, you'll get mad speeds. Your is even faster than mine. The same 1 - 2 bars. When u get 3 to 4 bars, expect something alot different.

Your ping indicates that you are closer to ntel servers as compared to users in Abuja. In Abuja, you can't get lower than 21ms. I believe once ntel fully launches in Lagos, users in Lagos will get better speed.

Yep.i think so too. Still shows my location as Abuja. Maybe that will be corrected when they launch in Lagos.

Speed is bad in my house. 7Mbps MAX! And dats Mb not MB. bits not bytes. Divide by 8 to get bytes value.
Regardless i have only 2 bars at home, sometimes one. Went to visit my friend today, 5 bars at his area and i got 26Mbps. Almost 27. I think this is about the fastest that can be recorded in Lagos at this time.

Sim is free. U only need to buy a plan 1K for 2days. 3K for 1 week or 10K for 1 month. All plans are TRULY UNLIMITED.

Yep! Been using it since yesterday and it is underwhelming compared to what Abuja peeps are getting. But i will not complain till they launch officially in Lagos.

Ya! I think it'll get better when they launch in Lagos. In my room it's even worse. less than 2Mbps. In my dad's room that's where it gets up to 8Mbps TOPS!

Believe it or not, this is what i am getting... In my room anyways. It's so bad in my room. But even around the house. it gets to 5Mbps max. Which is still poor.

It's showing Abuja because the server in the settings is one of those based in Abuja, and they are usually slow. To get the true speed, In Speedtest.net app, go to settings and change the test server to either Vodacom Nigeria business, MainOne cable, Cobranet, Internet solution pty or Smile communications. These servers are based in Lagos, and are quite fast.

No. It is showing my own location as Abuja and then trying to ping servers in Lagos. It's unusual for it to get ur location wrong. It's just like i'm browsing with proxy.

See what i mean in the photos below. The Abuja servers are 'apparently' closer to me than the Lagos ones...

Got my SIM today... The speed is alot slower than i expected. But i can't exactly blame them. They haven't launched in Lagos yet. Even speedtest shows my location as Abuja.

Anyways...

DEVICE = HUAWEI GR5 (HONOR 5X)

LOCATION = IWAYA, YABA.

NETWORK = 2 BARS (of 4 tho)

ntel hasn't officially launched its services in Lagos, so i would suggest you wait till they do so. Don't buy sim and subscribe in Abuja, only to go to Lagos and then find that coverage is poor, then you start complaining, blaming ntel for your own miscalculation.

Also, since ntel hasn't officially launched in Lagos, you can't complain if you experience any hitch whatsoever.

Exactly. Got my SIM today in Lagos. It's really slow. Only 3Mbps. However, i wont complain too much. Not yet. Because they haven't lauched proper in Lagos. When they do, then i'll sing. Maybe best to hold off, unless u sure of full reception in ur area. Island Area. I'm on the mainland.
