Yes you can travel.

Happy holidays smiley

PLSHELEP:
Guys... please can I still travel after I’ve submitted my application before PPR. I would like to go on a short holiday around an Ecowas country. Is this fine and would this affect me in anyway, as per misrepresentation.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by Stencil: 10:04pm On Aug 25, 2019
I don't think you understand. You DO NOT have to have the money in your account for 6 months.
The six months CIC refers to is the average balance that your bank letter has to mention. Every bank letter has to mention this and the banks takes care of this.

code7x:
To be more practical, someone like me and many others in this group may hardly have balance of 200k sitting idle for a whole six months normally.

kraits03:
For upfront medicals is there a document or form the hospital will give you after the tests?
Yes

What exactly are we supposed to upload on CIC website for upfront medicals?
The document you get from the hospital.

1. Can it come from any body/relative? Like uncle, cousin etc...?
Absolutely.

2. After receiving the gift deed, do I have to wait to have it sit in my account for at least 6 months before applying?
Absolutely NOT. It can even sit in your account six minutes before applying.

As in do I still need the 6 months POF letter from bank?
Everyone needs the bank letter. Please check the CIC website to familiarize yourself with the process.

be printed on the financial institution’s letterhead

include your name

current balance of each account

Please simulate your score here.
Just looking at your profile, you would need two or more degrees and a better IELTS score (8777 - LRWS) to stand a better chance.
Your score would be 462.
You can do it!

rennyvik:
Hi everyone, plz help me out.
I have a Bachelor's degree and I am 24 years of age. I also have three years work experience and my overall ilets band is 6.5
Guys do u think I can get ITA with thishuh
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by Stencil: 7:43pm On Aug 24, 2019
Yes you can.

I'd advice you not to submit if you know for sure that you won't have everything ready before the deadline. That opportunity (ITA) would have gone to someone else.

All the best!

Silversurfer1:
Can one accept an ITA and then withdraw their application later on before submission? Make una no vex for this question abeg

At 40 years, what do you plan to do abroad?
I just hope you have well spelled out plans though. And to your question, definitely yes. You can get nominated through the provincial nomination programme.

It is important to show that you were paid for the job. Please check the CIC website for reference.
If you can get them to edit the letter and include this information then please do so.
If not, include your employment letter that shows this information.
You can also include and highlight salary deposits in your bank statement to further solidify your claim.

pandora1:
Hello Gurus,

Kindly advice if it’s compulsory for my former employer to add my salary in the reference letter.

The letter issued to me did not state my salary.

However, I do have my employment letter showing this.

Kindly advice if this is ok.

Thanks

Review required. There is something they are probably not satisfied with on your application and would further investigations on.

You are very lucky to have caught that as it gives you a chance to prove/correct whatever it is.

What is the RR about (if you don’t mind) so you can get accurate guidance on what to do next.

Anikulapu:
@ladymarshall please what does RR. on stat question means on the GCMS notes. And what do I do about it ?

Getting a Nigerian Police certificate is a simple and inexpensive process.
You could maybe send a friend or family member to get another one for you guys since you are worried about the timeline.

Nwachinemelu226:
Hello Everyone,

I am post ITA and I have a question- I do not currently live in Nigeria with my family, we have been out of the country for about 4 years now. Last time we came home was for about a month in 2018. As regards the police certificate we got from Nigeria, it states that it is only valid for three months and as a result, it expires on the 30th of this month. I am submitting my application soon by the Grace of God, but am just confused as to if I should just go ahead and submit or do a new one. Although the Immigration's website states if you have not been in the country for the past 6 months then this might not matter but you might still be asked to provide a new one. I just wanted to ask my Nairaland family what they advise.

Thank you as you help!

What exactly do you need help with. Everything you need and more has been provided on page 1 of this thread.
If you have any specific questions, there are folks on here more than willing to help.
(chances are it has been asked before, and the answer is somewhere on this thread)

It is your money
It is your evaluation
It is your account
It is your PPR on the line

so.. a resounding Yes!

kweenoma001:
do yu think its wise for me to request for my account password from him?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by Stencil: 5:36am On Aug 23, 2019
Ask him to send you the login details so you can login yourself and not rely on screenshots.
Or you could just create your own account and process your application yourself.
The folks on here are willing to guide you if you need help along the way.

kweenoma001:
the thing there is that he has created d account already. and he sent me a screenshot which showed "ur account has been created but its pending and has been saved as draft " what do i do here

First language "is a language that a person has been exposed to from birth or within the critical period"
Most people put English.

It seems Part 9 of this thread is around the corner. To those who wanted PPR on this part, let's finish hard!
If it tarries, not to worry, I have a feeling Part 9 would be a PPR announcement thread.

Good luck everyone!

Congratulations on your results!
Use French as your first language, I don't think you should have any troubles with that.

Jimiaries:
Good evening everyone. I am a silent reader here and I have learnt so much. I have a question please. I wrote TEF not long ago and my results were very high. Now, if I put French (TEF) as my 1st language and English (IELTS) as my 2nd language, my CRS score comes to 490. However, if I put English as my 1st language and French as my 2nd language, my CRS score drops to 445. Will it be an issue if I put French as my first language seeing as I am a Nigerian and English is our first language here? Or it does not matter which I put as my 1st language? I am worried I might be asked to prove something. Awaiting anyone's response, please. Thank you.

If you have a Nigerian degree, Yes.
If you have a foreign degree, No.

Hello house. I have an MSC certificate. If I use WES for result verification, do I still require to verify WAEC results?

Omowunmibaby:
Is it a must for both spouses to do ietls and also evaluate their certificates
This isn't compulsory. People do it if they need additional points from their spouse. Simulate your score here, and for info on your spouse, put no education and no IELTS and see what you get, if it is high enough for you, then go ahead.

You would only have to mention your spouse's education in personal history.

Can’t just only the husband or the wife do the all process (ietls and Wes)and leave the other person out. But they will still end up applying together.
You can if you feel you have enough points to get ITA. Make sure you simulate your score properly.

I wish you all the best!

(1) is any need for my wife to fill her academic history on cic without doing ECA and IELTS?.
Even as a secondary applicant, you have to fill your academic history with or without IELTS or ECA.

(2) would there be any issue regarding her work history because she has worked as a confidential secretary in a private organization with 10years experience?
There shouldn't be any issues, also she isn't gaining points for her work history.

(3) what positive and negative effect does both had because she's accompany me to the cannyland
Thanks for your kind response in anticipation
Positive - add to your CRS score using IELTS, ECA. Plus you won't get cold in Cannyland wink

Could you simulate your score using this tool, it would help you get better and more accurate advice.

8777 would put your CRS at 468. You should be able to get ITA with that score.
It is important that you practice everyday. It is also important to mimic exam conditions when you practice. If you miss a question because you were distracted, don't pause the video/audio, keep going and try to guess what the answer is.
If your exam center uses earphones, do the same thing.
Here is a list of resources you can use.

Good luck.

You can do this but you must have worked in one place continuously for at least 1 year to qualify
Stencil:
You can combine jobs even in different NOCs. As long as it is A, B, 0.
You can combine different professions.
Your degree and work experience do not have to be in the same field.
You can combine different work experiences as long as you already have worked for one year in one of them (People typically use NYSC for this). Eg: You worked NYSC for 1 year. Worked at place B for 2 months, Place C for 5 months and place D for 5 months. Combine all of these to make 12 months. You are probably going to have a sh*t ton of reference letters to get 3 years but hey, whatever gets you to the promise Land.

Hopefully this helps you dig through your life to get that 3 years of experience.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by Stencil: 1:42am On Aug 10, 2019
Only one has to be at least one year long.

PLSHELEP:
I've been corrected. Your job experience can be in more than one profession but each one must be at least a year long.
