I am Amieghemen Eronmonsele Goodnews (not Goodness). After five arduous and daunting sessions at the University, I graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Benin (UNIBEN). On Thursday, the 21st day of November 2019, I was officially announced to the world as the Overall Best Graduating Student 2017/2018 graduating set with a CGPA of 4.89 on a GPA Scale of 5.0, winning the following awards:
1. Departmental Prize to the Best Graduating Student in academic performance student in 500 level, Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering 2017/2018 Academic Session.
2. Dean’s Price to the Best Graduating Student, Faculty of Engineering 2017/2018 Academic Session.
3. Nigeria Society of Engineers, Benin Branch Prize to the Best Overall Graduating Student in academic performance in Faculty of Engineering 2017/2018 Academic Session
4. Dr. George Agbonlahor Prize to the Best Graduating Student in academic performance in Faculty of Engineering 2017/2018 Academic Session
5. Chief Akida Prize for the Overall Best Graduating Student 2017/2018 Session
6. Rev Dr. F. Omobude Prize for the Best Student in Integrity and Excellence in Academic Standard.
7. University of Benin Chairman of Council Prize for the Overall Best Graduating Student 2017/2018 Session
It was both an exhilarating and euphoric moment for me. Taking a stroll down memory lane, through the days I spent at the University. I recall vividly days when it looked like “Last last School na Scam”. Days so grueling I'd almost given up on the Engineering dream. However, by God’s Grace with support from my family, friends and Lecturers, I triumphed. My constant companions were diligence and hard work and they paid off in the end.
I want to use this opportunity to sincerely appreciate every single member of my family, my friends and my Lecturers for their encouragement and support, for bringing out the best in me even in very rough times. I'd like to encourage everyone out there (myself inclusive) with this, that's there’s no difficulty so great, that you cannot overcome. As long as its called 'a problem', it has 'a solution'.
Special gratitude goes to God Almighty for it was Him alone that made all of these possible. It was him that gave me an understanding and pragmatic mind and made situations align to make this a reality. I look forward to the next stage of life, and I hope to conquer and obtain the best out of it...

i don’t need advises from sophists! You tend to mock those that have thirst for absolute knowledge. If you guys are saying those asking questions shouldn’t ask questions then what is the essence of this thread? If you are referring them to read hundred of pages just because they desire to elicit some methodological truths or Information then it is awkward. Some questions are truth in itself.

In the ambit of syllogism Logic let me posit this Premises or argument

This is a thread for garnering information about Uk tier 4 visa!

All questions concerning Uk tier4 visa have been asked once or about a time in this thread and Answers have been given to them!

If answers have been given to all questions concerning UK tier visa

Therefore

This information thread on UK tier 4 visa should be closed and all should just read the hundred of pages to gather their desire information.
welcome bro and keep writing epistles.

It so astonishing that some set of individuals on this thread have demystified themselves as gods. As someone who had a solid background in Philosophy asking questions doesn’t mean the person eliciting answers for what whatsoever questions asked is uninformed. Asking questions from diverse sources lead to absolute Knowledge and cut short all form of epistemological doubt. Socrates was regarded as dummy due to this persistent flair for eliciting answers to questions bothering on existence of humanity and some trivial perception of reality.
Socrates was condemned but invariably he was regarded as the wisest man In the then Greek Society. To Socrates he asserts “The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.” “The unexamined life is not worth living.” “There is only one good, knowledge, and one evil, ignorance.”

Conclusively if anyone on this thread inquiry about any sort of information if you can’t answer him or her you can politely skip through his or her post. Life is not a do or die affair! Let meditate on the categorical principle of Immanuel Kant which the golden rule is based on!
undecidedWhy are you typing long epistles? Simply accept the advice and gain from it. Kudos to all these bosses answering all questions here, They are really trying o and people should learn to always appreciate them without any insult or abuse wink.

Hello everyone!

So just recently moved in few weeks ago to be with my husband. It's been good and I'm adjusting perfectly.

Thing is I need a job. I'm not into the medical line and my hubby doesn't want me doing care work says it's career dead which I agree with.

Kindly assist with recommendation as regards something more"career friendly". Though I'm looking into volunteering too to like familiarise with UK work system.

Any advice?
lols...My sister, go for care job to familarise yourself with UK working environment. Either it's career alive or dead...the 9pounds per hour in carehome job with the quality training and other juicy offers is far better than unemployment in UK and even better than some minimum wage of 8.21 UK jobs, and if you are staying with your man after 2 months without been employed, hmmmmm. .. lipsrsealed undecided

That is my major problem when I want to help some Nigerians, their mentality is so much full of evil thought and They start asking thinking of the bad benefit accrued to helping them? Such a foolish thought!!
Imagine, I was trying to help a friend on something free of charge, it's a venture that will make him to be employed for the rest of his years with good pay and the next thing he was thinking was I will be paid referral bonus for helping him ( something I don't even have the slightest thought about) . Hmmm.. This is serious. If you are not legally married for years, please don't bring him or her to UK except you just want he/she to suffer. I told many friends to desist from bringing their girlfriends/boyffriends here except they want to go back and be married to live with him/her for few years in Nigeria before migrating to UK. Life here is really different from Naija lifestyle, the exposure and technology is next to none...

EducationRe: FG Scholarship Without Beneficiaries, Nigerians Call For Transparency by STENON(f): 9:47pm On Nov 14, 2019
GERMANE1:
Last month, the Federal Ministry of Education through its scholarship board department, announced the opening of portal for the commencement of registration for the 2020/2021 Federal Government undergraduates and postgraduates scholarships.

Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu said the scholarship which is under the Ministry’s Bilateral Education Agreement is for undergraduate studies in Russia, Morocco, Algeria, Serbia, Hungary, Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey, Cuba, Romania, Japan, and Macedonia.

Malam Adamu in a statement added that the postgraduate scholarships (Master’s degree and Ph.D) are for studies in China, Hungary, Serbia, Turkey, Japan, Mexico, South Korea and Russia.

The Scholarship board also offers scholarships to undergraduates and postgraduates students at Nigeria Public tertiary institutions.

Nigerians are now challenging the process involved in selecting beneficiaries for the Federal Government scholarship scheme both at overseas and in the country.

The Ministry of education engage in massive publicity announcing the opening of its various scholarships, only to go into hibernation after candidates have applied and screened for the exercise.

The Ministry of Education will shortlist candidates for Aptitude test and interview as well as recent introduction of Computer Based Test (CBT); and the next information will come a year later announcing the commencement of the scholarship without publication of beneficiaries of the previous one.

The board recently updated its website, http://education.gov.ng/fsb/, listing hundreds of supposed beneficiaries of the scholarship scheme since 2009. Candidates have been complaining that they are for years put in the dark about their performances in the screening exercise.

What trust do Nigerians have in the Federal scholarship scheme? Many Nigerians have been complaining that they applied for the scholarship many times but got no information about how the process was concluded.

Due to the fact that it is the scholarship scheme of the federal government, fund will be budgeted for the exercise yearly. Two years ago, the National Assembly raised questions over the modalities adopted by the scholarship board as well as how fund released yearly to the board were expended. Unfortunately, the National Assembly is yet to make public its findings.

Many Nigerians have been expressing their frustrations on many social media platforms especially on Nairaland over the non transparent manner at which the scholarship board is handling the matter.

There are allegations that politicians, top civil servants and other influential Nigerians do hijacked the exercise to favour their cronies.

Why is the exercise shrouded in secrecy? Who are the beneficiaries of scholarships? Why did the scholarship board refused to publicise on yearly basis the successful applicants? How much is budgeted for the exercise yearly? These are some of the questions continuously asked by Nigerians.

The Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu must take steps to address the concerns of Nigerians relating to the scholarship board under his watch.

Malam Adamu must return confidence to the board by ensuring that its activities are conducted in the most transparent manners.

The Minister should set up fact finding team to the board to investigate the allegations against the scholarship board so that the objective for which it was established is not defeated.

Nigerians demand that the scholarship board should be more transparent in the processes leading to the selection of beneficiaries.

Do you have similar experience with the Federal Government Scholarship Board? Are you satisfied with the modalities adopted in selecting beneficiaries for the scholarships? Share your experience with Opera News.. #transparency #FGscholarships
