@firdaus4us,

firdaus4us:
@stimulus,
WE in the Holy Quran mean ALLAH AND ALLAH ALONE. Any contrary view? Then, your evidence.
Now, you're talking. In common usage, WE, US and OUR are plural pronouns, never singular. There are numerous verses in the Qur'an where 'allah' speaks as plural and not as a singular entity, and that is what I have offered earlier. Let me quote a reminder and ask a more pointed question:

"Yet when WE bestow OUR favours on man, he turns away and becomes
remote on his side (instead of coming to US), and when evil seizes him
he gives himself up to despair! (Qur'an 17:83)

I just want to understand this: why was 'allah' in that verse speaking as US when he said: "instead of coming to US"?? How is it that language, even in Quraish Arabic, could not have used the singular pronouns (I, ME) there is indeed the Islamic 'allah' is a single entity without partners??

@jeshua,

Relax. Your appeal should have come when babs787 went on adventure calumniating Christianity. We cooled off and tried severally to provide answers to his plagiarized questions. What did he do with them?

A sincere person does not call others LIARS! Call that "overheated reaction" if you may; but I think we should rather stop this hypocrisy of raising our voices against Christians exposing his fraud. Go through the various posts and see for yourself - to the extent that he even refers to the Muslim authors we quoted from as "deluded authors that lied" --

babs787:
#6. Where are the mystic Books, babs787? || Sura 26:196
'Without doubt it is (announced) in the mystic Books of former peoples.'

I pity your deluded authors that lied in order to deceive you. This is what we have brother.
Now, which Muslim reading that would call babs787 a "sincere" person?? Please come off it. This fraud and continued cavil should stop! When he grows up and sanitizes his attitude on the Forum, he would find other discussants very pleasant indeed!!

You guys should rather be calling him to order. Even as a Christian, I can swallow all the name-calling he has served me; BUT I TOTALLY DETEST HIS DENOUNCING FELLOW MUSLIMS in what you guys now misinterpret as being "sincere"!! If he doesn't like them or agree with them, common sense requires he should simply state it so, and not pretend that he's doing himself and his muslim community any good!!

Ask me to provide further texts for this cavil of babs787, and you will read volumes.

Let's just do the right thing - weigh issues and act like grown-ups without this drama we have become accustomed to!!

Regards!

Islamic Law does not consider that as "desecration" - so long as Uthman was a Caliph. The goat that ate the other verses from under Aisha's bed also escaped the punishment for "desecration" of the Qur'an! If the Imams mishandle the Qur'an, nobody is to raise dust!

But if a non-Muslim even "touches" the Qur'an, wahala go start!! lipsrsealed

You have shown yourself again, always avoiding issues. Mind you, my questions came before yours, so please answer my questions first in the way listed and I will do justice to yours.
Alhaji babs, you can allege as much as you want. Only lackeys in the ghettos argue issues like that - "my questions came before yours!". It doesn't matter how they come, I have dealt with most of them. I only focused on other issues for a while as I'm not the kind to be drawn out into roundabout debates and endless arguments. When I felt it was time to touch up on some of your allegations, what did you do? You exploded and started name-calling . . . even to the extent that you referred to the Muslim authors I quoted as LIARS!! grin

Right, I know sometimes English is hard for some of your folks (e hard for me when I dey study for higher exams!). Even so, can you please tell us what you're seeking - an answer that is in the Bible, or the reconstructed tales that you've already set your mind to believe?

Dont worry it has not got to that. When am through with your allegations, you will defend you religion by replying some questions.
Humour me more! As long as you continue to prove yourself as a lackey, there's nothing to defend. cheesy

babs787:
You are well known for abuse when you have nothing to offer.
And what are you known for? Go over to the other threads where you have done nothing more than plagiarized other people's artcles as your own, and then categorically called us names. I've often warned you to behave; but just a single thread I opened in answer to your challenges, and you're having nightmares. If I had opened 7 threads nko - will you die straight to the Islamic hell?

I'm quite accommodating; but that doesn't mean you should be so rascally to continually be a schlepp with vitriol against others - to the extent that you ahve categorically referred to Muslim translators as LIARS in the thread I opened!! It was simply because I don't tow that rascally behaviour of yours, that is why I summarized my rejoinder to your so-called answers in my thread.

babs787:
As for the website, you should try to refute those supplied on the imcompleteness of the bible before going round in circles.
I also provided answers in my thread for the "missing books" you alleged against the Bible. Your problem is that you are almost dying out of the embarrassment that I simply applied your own antics on your Qur'an.

babs787:
Go there and refute the response in the thread, 'is the bible complete' , then we will know if sites are worth relying on at times.
Point of correction: your PLAGIARIZED response! grin I really don't stoop that low, babs787. When you begin to reason on your own, call on me and we will talk, man-to-man!

babs787:
It seems you have not been reading the posts of babyosis, nossycheeks that have been lifting from sites because if you have been, you wouldnt come here tendering your ignorance.
If I was ignorant at all, how would I ever have known that you were plagiarizing other people's articles and claiming them as your own? grin It is really sinister for you to cop out other people's article and pretend them as yours - which is not what babyosisi and nossycheek were doing. You may not know it, but I saw where nossycheek was leading you all the while. . . and like the lackey you typically are, you fell for her trap!! Smart babe she is!! grin grin

Christianity EtcRe: One Question For All Christians by stimulus(m): 10:46am On May 10, 2007
@muhsin,

Your question is irrelevant actually. If you're asking from a Muslim point of view, then I would like to know what you really think; and then we can compare with what is stated in their books.

There have been different artistic impressions made as to what Jesus might have looked like. Whether or not He was white or black, so-and-so feet tall, etc. are not questions germane to our salvation. It has been one of the issues that have spiralled out of context for many people to expose their racist biases.

Above all questions of this sort, for me it is enough to read what is stated in 2 Cor. 5:16-17 --

"Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known
Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. Therefore if any man
be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are
become new."

That He came as a Jew is without debate; and thereto, the Bible makes clear that "salvation is of the Jews" (John 4:22). However, it is irrelevant in what skin colour He came; for through Him, "the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men" (Tit. 2:11).

Salvation in Jesus Christ has been offered; it is still being offered - and that is what matters above issues of what He looked like by artistic impressions.

God bless you. smiley

Answer my questions in the same way I have listed them for you and I can see that the word 'we' is your problem, don't worry when you answer my questions, I will answer you. You have been known very well for avoiding questions.
When you provide answers to mine, your real nightmares will begin. You're only postponing your gloom; not to worry, it won't go away like smoke.

Meanwhile, firdaus4us, whenever you return from exile, the questions will be there. Even if I'm away for a few days or weeks, you will certainly find me waiting for you!  wink

grin grin grin mr pataki your explanation then is total rubbish knowing that matter exist in four forms. try better!

Now that we know that matter exists in at least four states, can we then have proof for your assertion that the Word was created?
Christianity EtcRe: Did Abraham & Ismeal Actually Build The Kaaba As Claimed In The Qur'an? by stimulus(m): 7:35pm On May 09, 2007

@nossycheek and stimulus,
Thanks for the question. To answer it, we do not even need to go to the Biblical account; we just need simple arithmetical sense (not even mathematical sense)

In the Quran, when Muhammed was asked which is the oldest Mosque, he answered that it is the Kaaba and he also said the second oldest mosque is the Al-aqsar mosque in Jerusalem (currently occupying the site of the temple built by Solomon). When Muhammed was asked how many years separated the two "oldest mosques", he said 40 years.

Now, it is on record and we know that the temple built by Solomon was built around 950BC; thus by Muhammed account in the quran, that means the earliest time that the Kaaba could have been built was 40 years earlier i.e around 990BC; assuming that the temple was destroyed and the Arab occupation of Israel occured immediately after building the temple (which is definitely not the case, as the Arab occupation occured much later)
The simple arithmetical question is this: How could Abraham who lived and died at least 1000 years before the temple of Solomon build the Kaaba? Did he come back from the dead? I don't think so! Thus Muhammed and the Quran are lying? Definitely! We do not need the Bible to prove that, only a small Casio calculator possibly. wink wink
@batu,

Na wah for you!! grin cheesy I'm waiting for the Mathematicians in Islam to convert this figures in time difference for us.

@Stimulus

Its not compulsory that you must see oyb.
Why so? Because already, he/she has got nothing to say?

babs787:
My question is simple and straightforward: WHERE and WHEN was such a thing ever asked of Moses??

If thats the way you want it. Please tell me, are you asking the question from biblical perspective or Quranic so that I will know how to answer you?
My context is clear enough. Muhammad said he received revelation; I want to know where that event ever happened before the verse was revealed!! He could as well have received so many "revelations" which have found their way into the Qur'an, and even though it never happened, you just want us to believe it.

Sorry, we are not mugus. Where in Jewish history did the Jews ever ask such a thing from Moses?? The verse in Qur'an 4:153 says:

Pickthall: - 'They asked a greater thing of Moses aforetime, for they said: Show us Allah plainly.'

YusufAli: - 'Indeed they asked Moses for an even greater (miracle), for they said: "Show us God in public,"

Hilali-Khan: - 'Indeed they asked Musa (Moses) for even greater than that, when they said: "Show us Allah in public,"

Shakir: - 'so indeed they demanded of Musa a greater thing than that, for they said: Show us Allah manifestly;

SherAli: - 'They asked Moses a greater thing than this. They said, `Show us ALLAH openly.'

Khalifa: - 'They have asked Moses for more than that, saying, "Show us GOD, physically."

There are a lot of conjectures that we can no longer put up with. Muslims have continued to castigate the Bible. Since the Qur'an was revealed to clarify issues, we want that clarification on truth, and not on falsehood that have no historical verification. There was no time in the history of the Jews that they ever asked any such thing of Moses. If otherwise, where then did Muhammad get this non-existence allegation from?

babs787:
Anybody can just come up and dream up a so-called "revelation" and reconstruct narratives in order to accuse the Jews of just about anything, when such a case never happened. If you want to know, ask the Jews themselves - no single Jew ever asked Moses such a thing! And it is disingenuous to begin here to dribble round that ayat of the Qur'an - a word from "Allah"!! That is why I want to know where Muhammad got that idea from!

Do you the proof that such a thing never happened?
Please humour me.

babs787:
It seems you are confused yourself. Please tell me, who are they if they are not prophets?
Who then is a prophet in Biblical understanding? The prophets preceded Muhammad, and he could not just show up centuries later to redefine issues for them. So, when giving answers, consult your LOST and non-existent books that "cannot be found", and tell us what a prophet was.

The real escapists have been showing their faces, running from questions in threads. They know themselves cheesy cheesy
Okay, make we clap for you for owning up then! https://forums.catholic.com/images/smilies/ani/ani_clapping.gif
When you're done, do you care to provide answers to my questions on how many gods are represented by the "WE" and "US" of the Qur'an in the other thread?

No need digressing to embrology. We will get to that as I have enough to prove you and your qur'an on that. So keep your copied further explanation, when we get to the bridge we will cross over it. Scientifically your theory fails woefully, but lets be through with this first.
Hehehe. . . I wan die with laff for here!! grin cheesy Some people cannot just reason on their own, and it is second nature to them to rank-xerox articles from the net and pretend it is theirs!! We no go see the end! grin
