musiwa7: dont mind Goodluck.. Anyone who call himself a man of God. should not support Goodluck, because of the way. Goodluck have cheated yoruba people.
here are some list of commission in nigeria.. most of them got less than 3 billion expect the commission where goodluck comes from.. And also.. the way Goodluck appropriated oil derivation revenue are bias.. State that have no oil.. Goodluck gives them money.. And state with oil Goodluck refuse to give them money because they are not from where he comes from.. Should anyone who fear God support such a person.

As someone who fears God, I dont support such. Look here are some list of commission.. what is the basic for revenue allocation.. If a northerner comes there. he too will give groundnut commmission 240 billion and let the rest of the nation suffer.. this is wrong.. And instead of support Goodluck in this wrong step.. I will tell the truth.. someone will have to be a very bad and wicked person to appropriate 240 billion to the NDDC and make Yoruba suffers.. State like kwara, kogi, ogun, lagos. osun, ekiti etc are going to suffer from this wicked act.. .

Goodluck is cheating the Yoruba people.. And no God fearing yorubaman should support Goodluck to make the yoruba people suffer.

Religion / Re: Which Church Do You Attend And Why? by stineb1: 10:27pm On Dec 09, 2012
teebiz: The reasons why i am a Jehovah's witness:

“Every good tree produces fine fruit, but every rotten tree produces worthless fruit.”—MATT. 7:17.
JESUS said that those falsely professing to serve him would be distinguished from his true followers by their fruits—their teachings and their conduct. (Matt. 7:15-17, 20) Indeed, people are inevitably influenced by what they take into their mind and heart. (Matt. 15:18, 19) Those who are fed falsehoods produce “worthless fruit,” whereas those who are taught spiritual truth produce “fine fruit.”
2 The two kinds of fruits have become clearly manifest during this time of the end. (Read Daniel 12:3, 10.) False Christians have a distorted view of God and often a hypocritical form of godly devotion, whereas those having spiritual insight worship God “with spirit and truth.” (John 4:24; 2 Tim. 3:1-5) They strive to display Christlike qualities. But what about us personally? As you consider the following five identifying marks of true Christianity, ask yourself: ‘Do my conduct and teachings clearly harmonize with God’s Word? Do I beautify the truth in the eyes of those searching for it?’
Live by God’s Word
3 “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens,” said Jesus, “but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.” (Matt. 7:21) Yes, it is not the professing of Christianity that pleases Jehovah but the practicing of it. For Christ’s true followers, that involves their whole way of life, including their attitude toward money, secular work, entertainment, worldly customs and celebrations, and marriage and other relationships with fellow humans. False Christians, however, adopt the thinking and ways of the world, which have become increasingly ungodly during these last days.—Ps. 92:7.
4 Accordingly, the prophet Malachi wrote: “You people will again certainly see the distinction between a righteous one and a wicked one, between one serving God and one who has not served him.” (Mal. 3:18) As you reflect on those words, ask yourself: ‘Do I blend in with the world, or do I stand out as different? Do I always strive to fit in with my secular associates, whether at school or at work, or do I remain firm for Bible principles, even speaking up when appropriate?’ (Read 1 Peter 3:16.) Of course, we do not want to appear self-righteous, but we should stand out as different from those who do not love and serve Jehovah.
5 If you see room for improvement, why not pray about the matter and seek spiritual strength through regular Bible study, prayer, and meeting attendance? The more God’s Word becomes a part of you, the more you will produce “fine fruit,” including “the fruit of lips which make public declaration to [God’s] name.”—Heb. 13:15.
Advocate God’s Kingdom
6 Jesus said: “To other cities I must declare the good news of the kingdom of God, because for this I was sent forth.” (Luke 4:43) Why did Jesus make God’s Kingdom the main theme of his ministry? He knew that he himself as King of that Kingdom, along with his resurrected spirit-begotten brothers, would deal with the root causes of mankind’s woes—sin and the Devil. (Rom. 5:12; Rev. 20:10) Hence, he commanded his followers to proclaim that Kingdom until the end of the present system of things. (Matt. 24:14) People who merely profess to be followers of Christ do not engage in this work—in fact, they cannot. Why? For at least three reasons: First, they cannot preach what they do not understand. Second, most of them lack the humility and courage needed to face the ridicule and opposition that may result from sharing the Kingdom message with their neighbors. (Matt. 24:9; 1 Pet. 2:23) And third, false Christians do not have God’s spirit.—John 14:16, 17.
7 Christ’s true followers, on the other hand, understand what God’s Kingdom is and what it will accomplish. Moreover, they give the interests of that Kingdom priority in life, proclaiming it worldwide, with the help of Jehovah’s spirit. (Zech. 4:6) Are you having a regular share in this work? Are you trying to improve as a Kingdom proclaimer, perhaps by spending more time in the ministry or by being more effective in it? Some have tried to improve the quality of their ministry by making better use of the Bible. “The word of God is alive and exerts power,” wrote the apostle Paul, who made it his custom to reason from the Scriptures.—Heb. 4:12; Acts 17:2, 3.
8 When in the door-to-door work, a brother read Daniel 2:44 to a Catholic man and explained how God’s Kingdom will bring about true peace and security. The man responded: “I really appreciate your opening the Bible and showing me what the scripture said instead of just telling me.” When a brother read a scripture to a Greek Orthodox woman, she asked a number of good questions. In this case too, the brother, along with his wife, answered from the Bible. Later, the woman said: “Do you know why I was willing to talk with you? You came to my door with the Bible, and you read from it.”
9 Of course, our literature is important and should be offered in the field. The Bible, however, is our primary tool. So if it has not been your custom to use it regularly in your ministry, why not make it your goal to do so? Perhaps you could select a few key texts that explain what God’s Kingdom is and how it will solve specific problems that concern people in your neighborhood. Then be prepared to read them as you preach from door to door.
Proudly Bear God’s Name
10 “‘You are my witnesses,’ is the utterance of Jehovah, ‘and I am God.’” (Isa. 43:12) Jehovah’s preeminent Witness, Jesus Christ, considered it an honor to bear God’s name and to make it known. (Read Exodus 3:15; John 17:6; Hebrews 2:12.) In fact, because Jesus proclaimed his Father’s name, he was called “the Faithful Witness.”—Rev. 1:5; Matt. 6:9.
11 In contrast, many who claim to represent God and his Son have displayed a shameful attitude toward the divine name, even removing it from their versions of the Bible. Reflecting a similar spirit, a recent directive to Catholic bishops said that “the name of God in the form of the tetragrammaton YHWH is neither to be used or pronounced” during worship. How reprehensible such thinking is!
12 In imitation of both Christ and the great “cloud of witnesses” who preceded him, true Christians proudly use God’s name. (Heb. 12:1) In fact, in the year 1931, God’s servants became even more closely identified with Jehovah by accepting the name Jehovah’s Witnesses. (Read Isaiah 43:10-12.) Thus, in a very special sense, Christ’s true followers became a “people who are called by [God’s] name.”—Acts 15:14, 17.
13 How can we personally live up to our unique name? For one thing, we must faithfully bear witness to God. “Everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved,” wrote Paul. “However, how will they call on him in whom they have not put faith? How, in turn, will they put faith in him of whom they have not heard? How, in turn, will they hear without someone to preach? How, in turn, will they preach unless they have been sent forth?” (Rom. 10:13-15) Also, we should tactfully expose religious falsehoods that malign our Creator, such as the doctrine of hellfire, which in reality attributes to the God of love the cruel traits of the Devil.—Jer. 7:31; 1 John 4:8; compare Mark 9:17-27.
14 Are you proud to bear the name of your heavenly Father? Do you help others to come to know that holy name? A woman in Paris, France, heard that Jehovah’s Witnesses knew the name of God, so she asked the next Witness she met to show her that name in her Bible. When she read Psalm 83:18, the impact was profound. She began to study the Bible and is now a faithful sister serving in another land. When a Catholic lady living in Australia saw God’s name in the Bible for the first time, she wept for joy. For many years now, she has been a regular pioneer. More recently, when Witnesses in Jamaica showed a woman there God’s name in her own Bible, she too shed tears of joy. So be proud to bear God’s name and, in imitation of Jesus, to make that precious name manifest to all.
“Do Not Be Loving . . . the World”
15 “Do not be loving either the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” (1 John 2:15) The world and its fleshly spirit stand in opposition to Jehovah and his holy spirit. Hence, Christ’s true followers do not merely refrain from being a part of the world. They reject it at heart, knowing that as the disciple James wrote, “friendship with the world is enmity with God.”—Jas. 4:4.
16 It can be a challenge to heed James’ words in a world that offers countless temptations. (2 Tim. 4:10) Jesus therefore prayed in behalf of his followers: “I request you, not to take them out of the world, but to watch over them because of the wicked one. They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world.” (John 17:15, 16) Ask yourself: ‘Do I strive to be no part of the world? Do others know my stand on unscriptural celebrations and customs as well as on those that may not have a pagan origin but clearly reflect the spirit of the world?’—2 Cor. 6:17; 1 Pet. 4:3, 4.
17 To be sure, our Bible-based stand will not win us the world’s favor, but it may arouse the curiosity of honesthearted ones. Indeed, when such individuals observe that our faith is firmly rooted in the Scriptures and involves our whole way of life, they may respond by, in effect, saying to the anointed: “We will go with you people, for we have heard that God is with you people.”—Zech. 8:23.
Show True Christian Love
18 Jesus said: “You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind” and “you must love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matt. 22:37, 39) That love (a·ga′pe in Greek) is a moral love that takes into account duty, principle, and propriety, but it often includes strong emotion. It can be warm and intense. (1 Pet. 1:22) It is the very opposite of selfishness, for it is reflected in selfless words and deeds.—Read 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.
19 Because love is a product of God’s holy spirit, it enables true Christians to do what others cannot do, such as overcome racial, cultural, and political barriers. (Read John 13:34, 35; Gal. 5:22) Sheeplike ones cannot help but be moved when they see such love. For example, when a young Jewish man in Israel attended his first Christian meeting, he was amazed to see Jewish and Arab brothers worshipping Jehovah side by side. As a result, he began to attend meetings regularly and accepted a Bible study. Do you show such heartfelt love to your brothers? And do you make it a point to extend a warm welcome to newcomers at your Kingdom Hall, regardless of their nationality, skin color, or social standing?
20 As true Christians, we strive to show love toward all. In El Salvador, a young publisher was studying the Bible with an 87-year-old Catholic woman who clung to her church. One day, the woman became gravely ill and was hospitalized. When she returned home, the Witnesses called and made sure that she had food. This went on for about a month. Nobody from the woman’s church visited. The result? She discarded her images, resigned from her church, and resumed her Bible study. Yes, Christian love has power! It can reach hearts in ways that the spoken word may not.
21 Soon, Jesus will say to all who falsely claim to serve him: “I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness.” (Matt. 7:23) Let us, therefore, produce fruitage that honors both the Father and the Son. “Everyone that hears these sayings of mine and does them,” said Jesus, “will be likened to a discreet man, who built his house upon the rock-mass.” (Matt. 7:24) Yes, if we prove to be real followers of Christ, we will receive God’s favor, and our future will be secure, as if founded on rock!

Your so-called oil is almost halved cos the Fulani had to repay Britain and America for helping them during the civil war. Shell and their likes have damaged your region and they make all the money in profits while your sleazy Nigerian politicians ask for crumbs to remain silent.

The remaining 50% of your oil revenue is shared between the other Nigerian states which leaves you in abject poverty and misery. When we talk of Igbo land, we don't aim for your oil. We are actually referring to the talented human resource in the Southeast. We are talking of people who are capable of engaging in international trade and prospering. Honestly, your oil isn't as important to us as your Onne seaport. We can allow you to have your Ijaw nation or South-south region but sign an agreement that we can import and export via Onne, Calabar, Akwaibom and Delta. You can tap into our vast human resource and learn trades from us. You can partner with us to forge the new world order in West Africa.

The future is not oil. It is natural gas, renewables, recycling, education, and military might. Stop talking about oil please. USA will become self-sufficient with locally produced oil. China even has more shale gas reserves than the whole of North America and as i type, there is a major campaign to start exploring shale in China. For the last time, it isn't your oil in riverine area that can sustain you, your land and water has been destroyed and we can help you clean it up. Religion / Latest On Pastor Oritsejafor Private Jet Gift by stineb1: 4:42pm On Dec 01, 2012
Last month Nigerians were 'united' once again and this time it was in protest over the gift of a private jet to the Christian association of Nigeria (CAN) president, Pastor Ayodele Joseph Oritsejafor on the celeberation of his 70th birthday and 40 years of service in the lord's vineyard. The unusually expensive gift was said to have been donated to the cleric by some wealthy members of his church, the word of life Bible church, Warri.
The charges against the Reverend gentleman were varied and bordering on inexpediency, wrong timing, sobriety and poverty as a needful disposition for clergymen and women among other things. There was the school of thought that reasoned that clerics like Oritsejafor ought to resign to a life of poverty and modesty and as such ownership of a jet was a misplacement of his levitical priorities, some felt it was a display of materialism for the CAN president to 'purchase' a private jet, some others even questioned the relevance of clergies and even the church at this time.
The numerous social media platforms were awash with diverse conversation, baseless conclusions and uncharitable criticsms and to the unsuspecting observer, these conversations would appear to be relevant and must have also stirred up intense indignation towards the church, her clergies and congregants, but I wasn't fazed by these as I find that since social media has become effortlessly accesible, some lazy, armchair critics in our country have utilised it as a tool to yap on every and any topic. That is how we got to have emergency human right activists and even spiritual and political whistle blowers who LIE (on their couches at home with their blackberry phojes in their hands) in wait to condemn and (instead of STAND UP against) 'sit down' in front of their computers against what they consider to be wrong or better still draw their conclusions after reading other people's opinion on their BB pm's and BC's, tweets, facebook posts etc.
Church issues have become a really trending and fun topic these days on social media, not so with issues concerning other faiths. Churches are bombed on a weekly bases and lives are lost yet everytime that happens, social media is still in silence, people kill in the name of a paticular religion and no one questions what the clerics in that religion do to curb such excesses, wouldn’t you rather pay for a private jet than pay for an innocent man’s blood? But no one really dares to ask because we all know what the outcome will be, so we target all our activism at the ever timid, good old Christians.
Let me say that as a contemporary but very conservative Christian, I am saddened by the controversy that has characterised the Christian church in recent times and I strongly condemn both the clerics and lay people(including myself) who have been involved in activities that have fanned the flames of controversy and scandal in the church; whether it is about the catholic men of the cloth not living true to their (obsolete) oath of celibacy, fathering kids and keeping very serious love affairs with ladies or about Pentecostal clerics living ostentatious lifestyles at the expense of their flocks who ironically are the contributors of these resources, I am also very worried about the kind of materialistic homilies that our flamboyant, suave and debonnaire preachers churn out from the pulpit these days, it is these distorted homiletics that have formed the ethos of today's Christian church, coupled with the empty razzmataz that attends church meetings these days, as opposed to the solemn, reflective and worshipful character that ought to define our meetings, she seems to be rambling towards the dangerous territory of unfettered liberalism, the church.
When the news of the private jet came up, I was furious about the CAN president 'PURCHASING' a private jet in the midst of such prevalent poverty in the land, the spiritual umpires of our social media had painted such a negative picture about the issue that I believed the CAN president was a card carrying member of the PDP not until I discovered it was a gift. In an interview he granted, Pastor Ayo emphatically said ‘…I know some people buy planes but I can’t buy a plane, I can’t afford it, I don’t have that kind of money…’
When critics of the church lament the popularity of the prosperity gospel over the salvational, you'll be mesmerised and would be decieved into believing that they have such a hunger to hear the salvational and redemptive gospel when in fact they are mockers and scoffers of the 'Kumiyi/Deeper life-old-school-holiness-gospel'. These people like Judas (in John. 12:4-5) will always be there to speak out against what they perceive to be a waste of resources that should have been used for charity programmes, when they themselves don’t know the address to any orphanage, they aren't as pious as they appear but are hypocrites and opportunists who are merely condemning others for ‘offending’ the master that they probably don't have as much love for; #Dogs in a manger#.
I personally hold the view that this gift is rather ill-timed and I fear that private jet ownership is fast becoming a fad among Pentecostal pastors, but If this particular private jet is truly a gift from members of Pastor Oritsejafor’s church and not a reward (for his loyalty) from the PDP and in fact the president, as I am made to believe, then how is that a culpable crime? I hold nothing against Pastor Oritsejafor, I hold nothing against a man who has been a Warri based cleric for over 30 years and didn't 'hear from the lord' to relocate to Lagos, I hold nothing against a man who has affected thousands of poor people with his popular poverty alleviation programme that started years before the government thought of one, a man who runs a micro finance bank that assists strictly poor people from different tribes and religion with financial aid, a man who runs an orphanage and is giving hope to hopeless children, a man that runs a clinic that gives out FREE medical treatment every Sunday, this man has personally trained over a hundred graduates, people he never knew from anywhere. I am not one of his disciples neither do I even follow his ministry activities keenly but why should I criticise him just because the media wants me to? Why should the validity of a pastor’s calling be predicated on ownership of a private jet or not? Jesus once rode on a brand new donkey amidst pomp and pageantry in Luke 19 and I’m quite sure there must have been critics who wagged their tongues about it yet couldn’t accuse the saviour of any moral deficiency, why have we failed to see the many charity works that Pastor Oritsejafor is carrying out and why have they never received such media recognition?, why have we also failed to realise that despite the onslaught of the enemy on the church in these last days, he has fought against them in a way no other CAN president has?
My submission is thus, that we should desist from smearing the man’s personality just because he now owns a private jet, that if his itinerary and travel schedules require that he owns a jet, then what is all the fuss about, especially because he didn’t buy it with his money, that the prosperity gospel, when emphasised over core doctrinal subjects of the faith becomes very unhealthy to the spiritual health of the Christian believer, that indeed clergymen and women would rather lead modest, exemplary lives and also seek to channel their monies into other selfless, spiritually profitable investments other than the unwanton acquisition of private jets that they don't need and finally that if there is more to this paticular gift than meets the eye, #TIME WILL TELL#
I have hereby given my take on the private jet saga.

If you are a born again christian, the first thing you should do is to pray and seek from God about any decision, rather than requesting answers from Nairalanders, were you will mostly get Ungodly advise from fools(Those who dont know God) and careless talkers.Nairaland is not synonymous with good suggestions when it concerns spiritual matters, because of their negative mindset about anything that relates to church and pastors. Lets be careful here because alot of demons are invading social medias to topple christians faith. Please ignore their ignorance and seek answer from Almighty God, and he will surely direct you. Refer to Psalm 1:1, 1 corinthians 15:33
Remain Blessed.

Long live all sincere and objective Nairalanders.

Poems For Review / The Tinapa by stineb1: 4:18pm On Nov 21, 2012
Cross River State thrives, as ships come and go,
As plane loads of investors move to and fro.

Millions of Visitors have come to know,
It is located in a place just like paradise.
Not all who come there are merchants of trade,
With samples and contracts to persuade.

To some it's a place to relax in the shade,
After touring through the state,
Known as the people's paradise.

In the heart of this paradise
There stands a garden built for leisure
shopping and rooms also inclusive

A place of tranquility where friendship blooms,
For all who set out there to be swooned.
This garden is the TINAPA.

The warmth that you feel at the TINAPA,
Is the presence of God that has come to calabar.
You'll find a new peace and your fears will dispel,
As you leisure, shop and spend time with God at the TINAPA.

Politics / I Will Become Governor Come 2027 by stineb1: 3:40pm On Nov 21, 2012
I have a strong conviction to run for the Governor of a state Cross River State come 2027. My Aspiration is not based on any form of fret over the affluence or possessions enjoyed by our current crop of politicians. As a born again christian, Psalm 37:1,8;Proverbs 24:19, Philippians 4:6,clearly instructed accordingly.
My aspiration is born out of my passion to liberate my fellow citizens from poverty and mental slavery which is now a norm in our dear state and Nigeria in general. By so doing,i believe our dear state will move from its present status to an ELDORADO whether the godfathers or principalities like it or not. I will not be perturbed by them and other unforeseen circumstances if i get there. For my God has assured me of strength and exploit(Daniel 11:32)
Before this article begins to sound like a gospel tract, let me state that my preparations started seven years ago when the thought came.I needed a foundation, hence my active involvement in Aluta Struggles(Campus Politics) where i contested and won as a Faculty president, from there, lobbied and became a National president of a National student body representing the interest of students in my course of study. I must confess that those positions afforded me exposure to politicking.

During the period of campaigning and lobbying, i never belonged to any system(Cult group)in school,as perceived by many that one can not contest or win campus elections without blending(belonging) to a cult group. However,as a smart guy, i wasn't unaware of their schemes(2 Corinthians 2:11)even as i was being threatened by some "blended" opponents, asking me to step down or have my self to blame. But I was not moved, because i was innocent and i know that it is a political strategy. Above all,i was under Heavenly Insurance.

PERCEIVED CHALLENGES

1. I am currently practicing as an allied Medical professional, Medical Imaging Scientist (Radiographer)to be precise in a private hospital, and i double as the owner of a growing Medical equipment's sales Company, just to get me going.
Sometimes,i ponder on how i will raise the cash to finance my campaign and other election requirements when the time comes, keeping in mind how expensive Electioneering process can be in Nigeria. MY DEAR NAIRALANDERS,PLEASE ADVISE ME ON HOW TO GO ABOUT RAISING FUNDS.

2.With the growing rate of godfather-ism and diabolic means to be successful in an Election, i do not intend to give the place(my faith) of GOD ALMIGHTY,who mimiko tagged "GOD THE FATHER' to any god father or a shrine/native doctor(Babalawo) because i am a born again christian, and my standard is the Bible.PLEASE I NEED YOUR ADVISE ON A GOOD STRATEGY.

3. I haven't decided on what political platform to run under, because no political party at the moment seems to be implementing their manifestos. I am still watching and praying that at least on or before 2019,i should identify with one.
But i am afraid they may refuse to give me their ticket if they know that my plan is to operate a corruption free administration. PLEASE I NEED YOUR SUGGESTIONS ON THIS

By Gods grace, i have been trying in my own little way to contribute my quota starting from my Alma-Mater,community and church, both with cash, encouragement, prayer and reaching out.I don't have to be a millionaire before becoming a blessing to others, or wait to become a Governor before i start effecting a change in my state or the Nation.By Gods grace, i have been trying in my own little way to contribute my quota starting from my Alma-Mater,community and church, both with cash, encouragement, prayer and reaching out.

Please try to encourage me with any other idea or strategy that will make my dream a reality. I understand the task and dream killers ahead of me, but i will not let this dream die. So help me God.
Long Live Nigeria! Long Live Progressives! Long Live Nairalanders!
