Guys, inasmuch as we blame our leaders for our current predicament, we must also take responsibility for how we choose who to vote for. We get very sentimental when supporting our politicians and allow money, tribe, religion and party affiliations to divide us. Please let us look twice at the people we support for leadership and not allow the distractions of money, tribe or religion as we approach 2023. If we continue to make reckless and shallow choices of who to lead us, then we should be prepared to live with those choices since a nation truly deserves the kind of leaders it gets.

Exactly. This is also what we must realise. We are also responsible for the kind of people we vote for. I hope we will not start fighting ourselves again along tribal, religious and party lines as we approach 2023.

--Mr President should please address the nation as a matter of urgency.
--State Govs and state commissioners of police should go to the different protest sites in their states, address the protesters, negotiate a date and venue for a town hall meeting, urge protesters to organize themselves and appoint spokesmen/women as well as document all their demands.
--Our dear protesters, please it is time to get organised. If we ask questions then we must allow the govt to answer. The goal is not to protest and fight forever.Infact it may be more effective to step back, assess the impact so far and restrategize for a more effective protest.
--Please organize this movement, get spokesmen/women, make it easy for our leaders to come out and negotiate by fixing a date and venue for town hall meetings, let's discuss and document all demands and prepare to talk. By organising the movement, we can avoid hijacking and infiltration by thugs.
--In the town hall meeting, the spokespersons will articulate the demands, the govt will consider them and highlight what is possible and where they may have challenges. The goal is to reach a consensus between the govt and protesters. Finally a working document should be drafted with appropriate timelines.
--The state governors should then have a meeting with the Federal government, harmonize the demands from the various state town hall meetings and put modalities in motion for TRANSPARENT implementation.
--If possible, the youths can even adopt a vision that will leverage on the current solidarity to forge a massive political alliance in form of a party that will decide who will lead this nation in future. But, to achieve this we must organize ourselves at a national level and come together.

Transparency is a key factor in trying to pacify the protesters due to the crises of trust between our leaders and the people. So who are the officers affected? Does the list include those who perpetrated the popular cases that the protesters are demanding justice for? The Govt should please embrace transparency in responding to the demands for justice. The days of fake shows of commitment and sweeping things under the carpet is over.

If you wake from a dream feeling unusually disturbed, concerned or excited and you can remember the dream clearly and in some cases there is a repetition of the dream , then your dream has implications. If you check the bible, you will see the same pattern. Pharaoh had two dreams, he woke up troubled and could remember the entire dream, same thing with the servants of pharaoh in prison with Joseph, same thing with Nebuchadnezzar. Notice the pattern, they dreamt, woke up troubled or disturbed and could remember what they dreamt about clearly. Those kind of dreams will certainly make you concerned, troubled or very excited(like joseph) as in you can't fake or suppress the concern no matter how hard you try .Dreams like this matter and should be prayed about.Any other dream is just a product of an active subconsciousness.

They called you Negro and you rejected it.
They called you Nigga, you said it is racist.
Now they say you are Black and we are White, you accepted.
You've been outsmarted. They simply changed from Spanish(negro) and latin (root word: niger) to English(black) and still label you as they wish with the same English language you inherited from them(I am shocked!! grin and they too must be wondering how you missed it). They even dropped plenty of hints about their motives by coining words such as Black list, Black Maria, Black mail, BLACK SHEEP grin, Black out, Black magic, Black mass, Black market and you still don't get it !! We know there are black objects and items but WHO LABELLED YOU BLACK AND WHY? If you think it's because of your skin colour, I laugh at you. Your skin is not even black to start with in the real sense of the WORD and their skin is not white either. Now they say you have BLACK LIVES grin grin and some people really think the reverend gentleman Pastor Chris is their problem. Hmm, May we never shout "yes sir " when we hear "you are a fool". Amen.

Exactly. Asides from pure mischief, I don't understand how anyone will fail to see everything wrong in giving an appointed official sweeping powers to act WITHOUT RECOURSE TO THE COURT. Asides from this whole CAMA issue, folks need to consider in general how tyrannical it is for the Executive to take actions that nobody can CHALLENGE IN COURT except on issues of urgent national security . This is a dangerous trend and I even expect the judiciary and lawyers to weigh in on this matter.

Let's be kind to the LIVING. That's when it matters to people. The dead cannot appreciate and enjoy kindness.
Let's respect the LIVING and each other. That's when it can be enjoyed and reciprocated. The dead cannot appreciate your respect, infact they don't need it because wherever they are it means nothing to them.
I am sorry, but some sayings doesn't sound right to me. We disrespect and disdain people, we fight, abuse and deny them when they are alive but when they are gone we try to offer them kindness and respect at a time they cannot appreciate it. It sounds mischievous and upside down to me.
Let me join Tinubu in praying that God gives his family, friends and loved ones the fortitude to bear the loss.

Business / Re: Banks Raise Lending Rates To 30 Per Cent by streetfabulous: 6:24pm On Aug 04, 2020
Ideally lending rates should have reduced. By intermediation banks lend from deposited funds. These deposits are now cheap because most individual customers no longer have access to risk-free short-term alternatives such as T-bills(courtesy of CBN). This increased the bargaining power of banks as they negotiated reduced deposit rates for customers with little or no risk-free investment options. So as banks have reduced deposit rates, it follows that the lending rates of loans created from these cheap funds should also reduce. So apparently from the time CBN introduced their policy to stimulate lending to the time of this report, banks have only slightly reduced prime lending rates but they maintained or slightly increased their maximum lending rate. Well truth is, I don't see banks significantly reducing rates anytime soon because they can argue that though deposits are cheaper now, the risk factors for businesses have increased significantly in the economy. If govt doesn't step up to provide an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, business risk will remain very high in Nigeria and banks will continue to justify increasing lending rate even with access to cheap deposits.

It's one and the same. Covenants are spiritual but the parties must agree. Yes you did not agree to it intentionally but you may have consented through sex (especially) or by your word of promise that you will never leave him.If your ex has bonded with you in a covenant, that makes him your husband spiritually. The spirit enforcing the covenant is what you are calling spirit husband . There's no confusion about this, both pastors are correct, for instance, if the covenant is broken, the spirit husband will cease or if the spirit husband is expelled, the covenant is broken. Please don't over-rationalize spiritual issues, I mean, you even told us how you manifested during the prayers at MFM. That is enough info to take a stand in the name of JESUS through the WORD of GOD , PRAYER, and fasting. Shalom.

Ethics and corporate governance is a very very big deal in international organisations. You can't afford to loose guard as a leader in such places. If you try to run things the way most of our corporate leaders do things here, then you are in for a rude shock especially when you have US as a stakeholder. Certainly there will be interests and politics but that is the more reason not to drop the ball on ethics. I admire Adesina as a person and my best wish is that he is given a fair hearing.
