Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Is Being An Introvert A Turnoff To Nigerian Employers? by streetfabulous: 5:49pm On Jun 18, 2021
See, when an introvert wants something, they can go and get it done even if it means a bit of talking. Introverts love to conserve energy and avoid dissipation. It doesn't mean that they cannot rise to the occasion when it is absolutely necessary to do so ( you may be suprised to know that there are great orators who are introverts). Don't be deceived to think they are timid, some actually think too much talking is a sign of weakness. I also think that too much talking and deep thinking are inversely proportional, they more of one you show, the less of the other you will have.

Sports / Re: Messi Vs Kante: Who Would You Rather Have In Your Team? by streetfabulous: 4:26pm On May 30, 2021
It depends on the current need of your team. They play different roles and they are good at it. If you buy Messi when you need a kante to dig deep and win balls then you will have issues and vice versa. In some cases you may need both.

Family / Re: In My 7 Years Of Marriage My Husband Has Never Complimented Me by streetfabulous: 10:58am On May 15, 2021
Naturally, anything the mind focuses on will be magnified.
First think on and appreciate everything good about him and your marriage.
Second, many atimes you may have to give more of what you want. Try complimenting him also and do it more often with sincerity.
Third, don't be too thirsty for anybody's compliment. It makes you emotionally vulnerable and easy to deceive. Your husband's lack of compliments is better than a thousand fake compliments from so called friends and others.
As for me I prefer doing the compliments than waiting for others to compliment me.

Wisdom is also to know when to humble yourself and choose your fight carefully . Your bank has been on CBN's liquidity support and regulatory forbearance in the last 5 years and you still want to flex muscle with them. If the CBN governor was meek enough to call you on this matter, the least you can do is hear him and discuss a possible win-win situation. Some one like Sanusi Lamido would have treated his case long ago.

Business / Re: Adesola Adeduntan: CBN Queries First Bank As CEO Is ‘Purportedly Forced Out" by streetfabulous: 1:42pm On Apr 29, 2021
CBN is simply saying that there is more to this new appointment than meets the eyes and FBN should come with the full gist. A bank that is enjoying regulatory forbearances and liquidity support from CBN should at least carry CBN along.
The articles is also a surface revelation of the financial health of FBN. The continuous mention of regulatory forbearances and liquidity support from CBN is a red flag.
And why is CBN taking so long to sanction FBN for refusing to divest their non-permissible interests ? If it were to be a mid-sized or small bank , I am sure they would have dealt with them long ago. Why the partiality?

Money is meant to be withdrawn/spent as long as it is used for the target purpose and accounted for. The question should be: did the withdrawal follow due process and how was it spent?

Yes oo. The "classified" agenda of social media is to see how possible it is to programme people into a "zombified" state. I think it is succeeding.
Today, most people no longer reason or think independently. Many are not interested in investigation. We have become a highly emotional generation with no scepticism.
I've said it before, we are in a time where a single post will destroy entire nations to ashes.
There are communication benefits to social media but everyone of us must OWN his/her MIND.
Politics / Re: El-Rufai: Only Ill-Informed Nigerians Assume Nothin Is being Done About Banditry by streetfabulous: 11:55am On Feb 16, 2021
The current leadership is therefore at fault if some Nigerians are ill-informed. They are ill-informed for 2 reasons:
1) the govt is not communicating sincerely about the issue. Sometimes they even keep quiet.
2) there is nothing around them to show that govt is committed to resolve the issue.
If the govt fails to communicate sincerely, then the door is open for all manner of rumours and assumptions.
El-rufai should urge Mr President to address the nation more often on these issues. Whatever action the govt is taking must be visible, felt and perceived to be sincere.
What do you expect when nobody can hear you or see you ?

Those transactions on Loatsad bank statements are DEBITS(see transaction type column). I didn't see any CREDIT(inflow) from LCC instead I can see payments in favour of LCC.
I am not defending anyone, I just want to understand better. Those figures on the bank statements are not proofs of revenue from LCC.
It seems to me that the Loatsad is an advertising firm making payments to LCC on behalf of it's clients for adverts.

Emeka should please tell those guys to stop posting his texts on social media. The banking industry is perceived as conservative (of course with a lot of hypocrisy) and so the vulgar words can portray you as a loose guy with questionable character even if it is not so. I won't be suprised if the words he used becomes a ground for disciplinary action by the bank.
Pls, whatever he does, he should avoid the insanity of social media on this matter going forward.

IMAliyu:

Most exchanges even require KYC to use.
The popular ones Binance, Luno and Quaidax all require your BVN for verification and permanent Id for further verification it you trade larger sums.
It's not like these things were being operated anonymously.
Now with P2P it'd be basically impossible to track transactions.
Exactly. This is why CBN must engage stakeholders before issuing a hasty memo. If they had engaged the public, someone would have made them see reasons why dealers in crypto-currency should settle into bank accounts.
Infact, a better policy by CBN would be all crypto-currency transactions should be settled into bank accounts. If dealers resort to peer-to-peer, CBN will no longer have data to evaluate the effects of crypto-currency on it's monetary policies.

Politics / Re: Cryptocurrency: All Exchange Mediums Are Subject To Fraud & Criminality- Moghalu by streetfabulous: 9:30pm On Feb 08, 2021
Looking at it from the excuse that crypto-currency dealing is anonymous and untraceable, it is even better for dealers in crypto-currency to have bank accounts because every account has BVN and is subject to KYC. This will even help CBN to monitor and regulate transactions in digital currency.
With this hasty policy, CBN has closed a good opportunity for them to monitor these accounts because crypto-currency dealers will now default to peer-2-peer transactions which is difficult to regulate.
Digital currency is here to stay. CBN must wake up and smell the coffee. Like other countries, we should be thinking of a regulatory framework in readiness for the future instead of playing the ostrich and banning what they don't understand out of fear.
Even Global accounting bodies like ACCA are already debating standards that will be used to report crypto-currency in financial statements.

What is worse than COVID is that I can post on Twitter and everybody will start to argue and insult themselves without knowing who I am and whether my post is even true. I am always intrigued by this and how shallow we have become with social media.
Very soon, entire countries will be destroyed by a single post on Twitter. This trend is worse than a pandemic that has 99% chance of survival.

Asking your dad a few questions would have been easier than coming to Nairaland to type all these. If your story is true, then you are in the best position to clear your doubts. Go ask your dad politely. You shouted bat! bat! and ran away to your relatives. You did not engage him further even after he smiled. I am not really convinced about this story.

I will not justify what her father did, but I urge your friend to tow the path of peace. Clearly, they both have different perspectives on the matter and so your friend can take a mature stand by not interpreting in terms of who is right or wrong. He is going to be his father-in-law for a long time by God's Grace and so two months is a little sacrifice to start well with his father-in-law. Be the peacemaker and let it be as her father wishes for the sake of future relations with him and your wife.

cheesy grin Please guys, stay away from the fake news media to avoid serious heartbreak. Free your mind from bias and try to find out the bombshell Trump and his legal team are ready to drop. The fake news media is not covering all that is happening right now. Don't waste your time shouting for Trump to concede, the guy is not STUPID. He will concede if Biden's ambition can survive the impending revelations. Biden should brace for the fight of his life.
