Lord our heavenly Father, we thank you for bringing us this far in this journey you have blessed us with. We pray that you see us through the end of the journey with our healthy babies and grant us supernatural deliveries and no loses.

We thank you for our August mothers that have welcomed their loved ones so far, we commit the rest of our August mothers into your hands and pray you will be with them in the delivery room and there shall be no loses.

We are going through this journey in a precarious time with a pandemic that's been riddled with job loses and reduced incomes, but we trust that you will provide all that's required to take care of these blessings you have assigned to us to raise.

We commit our ATC mothers into your hands Lord, we know that you have already perfected their testimonies and they will soon come to manifestation for you said none shall be barren, for this we thank you.

This group used to be very lively with daily activities and information some years ago. I've gone through previous pages and seen that some mamas had complained/tried to revive these activities but weren't very successful
Weekly activities used to include
Prayer Monday (Open to all religions/beliefs; mothers and fathers alike lead us in prayers)
Bumpy Tuesday (Mamas share pictures of their growing bumps. For privacy you can choose to cut out your face)
Wednesday is free for any topic/lectures
Thursday thread cuties (mothers/fathers post pictures of their newborns/birthday celebrants and take them down at the end of the day)
Etc

I dont know if other hospitals are like mine that are currently not having antenatal classes due to corona, but it'll help FTMs if the more experienced ones share lectures they can remember on varying topics.

The wicked witch showed face, after positive ovulation test. I decided to try something different this cycle, banana recipe .Took it a day after my period. I have heard so much about it. It's supposed to boost ovulation. Observed i had ovulation like pain this evening , even though ovulation is about 3 days away, baby dancing things sharply. Fingers crossed , praying this month is my month. I am not yet in the 2ww and I am already counting down. It's going to be a long month. Hopefully my busy schedule will take my mind of the calender .

I am very well mama.I went for gender scan today and I'm team blue.As for my hospital they kept saying baby gender is not clear now but I had to go to another scan center on my own to check.You can do same.

I think some hospitals do that on purpose.

We remain team green and I had to close my eyes when they were measuring baby's legs during my last scan.

Cappo go to an independent scan centre and check for baby's sex. All these doctors too dey play politics.

I've started writing my shopping list

My first pregnancy i scanned almost every week but I think STM syndrome is holding me..or maybe its Corona but I'm not too eager for plenty scans this time. But my 16week visit scan my LO had her legs open and I didnt see testicles and penis like I did with my son but the doctor just refused to confirm it.
I'm waiting to do a 3D scan so i can see her face like I did with my son

I usually lactate day 3 but I've never used formula, water, glucose or anything else before then. I just put baby on the breast regularly and ensure he's properly latched even when it seems nothing is coming out. And the baby will even be peeing and pooping self.

They say colostrum comes out in tiny quantities before lactation starts, and the colostrum is enough for baby because it's so high in glucose.

I lactated by day 2 but colostrum came on day 1. Hospital gave me manual breast bump to help but also fed him enfamil until BM came fully.

If the plan is to exclusively breastfeed, get breast pumps so she can extract her milk and you can feed baby while your wife gets some rest.

You're welcome. She can also use ginger...just put fresh ginger in her mouth and occasionally suck on the juice.
I used ginger and it helped me with nausea.

You can get the baby formula for now, Nan should be fine
Except you and wifey are planning on exclusive breastfeeding, you can also try massaging the boobs with warm water....heard it aids flow too.
Let baby try suckling on the nipples also.

Even with exclusive, its advised to feed the baby until it passes out meconium during its first hours...some people are lucky to start lactating immediately others don't. So you feed with formula until lactation comes in and return to exclusive bf

My hospital is really vexing me how can a consultant be saying he's not sure of gender at 20weeks? Anyways, thats their headache cos I've claimed my team pink

Just couldn't stand the innocent baby taking only water since yesterday.

Please go and buy formula and feed the baby pending when milk starts to flow...to avoid jaundice

Although, kolanut contains caffeine, its safe when taken in small quantities.

The ban, i believe, is on EU (countries that refused landing clearance to Nigerian airlines during evacuation) airlines not EU countries. So people can still travel from say UK to Naija but not via British Airways or Virgin

Thanks to u all for the well wishes. Was so scared, but God was too faithful to fail, baby came Out screaming his lungs, he weighed 2.5kg. Mother and son doing well. Wishing all mamas safe delivery. Bs will come later.

Mamas I need your prayers, contraction started today at 1am, I thought it was false contraction, I went to the hospital this morning and I was told am 4cm dilated at 33weeks, my water is broken too. Cc October cappo. Say a word of prayer for me.

A mama recently had her baby at 30weeks (I think) and they're both fine. They just need to give steroids to mature your baby's lungs and ensure they have oxygen on standby..
You'd both be fine.

Dear Experienced parents and child development experts,

I have a 4-year old child suffering from mild autism which was discovered when he was two. As a concerned parent, i have taken steps by spending a lot in hiring speech and behavioural therapist, and seeing a development pediatrician with some success achieved at least in getting him stable to be able to absorb what he's being taught in class.

With diagnosis done confirming the mildness, i was encouraged to allow him do things regular children do which will help him grow out of the disorder.

Now i noticed that he has memory challenge in terms of ability to retain and recall information especially in his study which is a big concern to me. He also dislikes reading and writing but enjoy visual-based instructions.

In light of above, i need help from parents who have gone through this challenging phase with such kids and also autistic child development experts on how I can help my child over come the short term memory problem,repetition of words, writing and reading.

Please help!!!

In addition to what you are doing, you'd have to watch his diet. Go glutton free.
Also give multivitamins to help brain function. Order bodybio pc and pro efa omega 369 on amazon.

Tor! Thats why I advised to wait...unfortunately that few weeks will feel like years.
Let her just take her folic acid and try to distract herself until the repeat scan. By 9weeks all will be seen

Yes teamie, the folic acid in pregnacare 400mcg is small compared to the nigerian folic acid 5mg.
Even the iron content is small too.

I'm still taking pregnacare cos of the other vitamins available in it.

Like cinderella said, it's hormones and would resolve on its own.
I'd advise all moms especially FTMs to follow Ask the pediatricians on Facebook.
