UjuJoan2:Any man who's irresponsible enough to impregnate a woman without money should also suffer the consequences. Upset because I dont like sufferhead? I hope she bought herself meat pie and lacasera with the 700 naira sef...if the money can even buy that ![]() |
shadow88:Your doctor just isn't communicating with you properly. There were follicles but with multicystic ovaries they wouldn't mature to eggs and you wouldn't ovulate. The follicles will grow but will not rupture thereby forming cysts. Are you underweight or stressed? Find out how he plans to get rid of the cysts and treatment plan for the hormonal imbalance. |
UjuJoan2:Great! You can take the 'not yet a wife's' place and your trophy. |

Wednesday Antenatal clinic topic Gestational Hypertension: Pregnancy Induced Hypertension (PIH) Gestational Hypertension also referred to as Pregnancy-Induced Hypertension (PIH) is a condition characterized by high blood pressure during pregnancy. Gestational Hypertension can lead to a serious condition called Preeclampsia, also referred to as Toxemia. Hypertension during pregnancy affects about 6-8% of pregnant women. The different types of hypertension during pregnancy: High blood pressure can present itself in a few different ways during pregnancy. The following are the 3 common types of gestational hypertension: Chronic Hypertension– Women who have high blood pressure (over 140/90) before pregnancy, early in pregnancy (before 20 weeks), or continue to have it after delivery. Gestational Hypertension– High blood pressure that develops after week 20 in pregnancy and goes away after delivery. Preeclampsia – Both chronic hypertension and gestational hypertension can lead to this severe condition after week 20 of pregnancy. Symptoms include high blood pressure and protein in the urine. This can lead to serious complications for both mom and baby if not treated quickly. Who is at risk? The following women may have an increased risk of developing gestational hypertension: --->First-time moms --->Women whose sisters and mothers had PIH --->Women carrying multiples --->Women younger than age 20 or older than age 40 --->Women who had high blood pressure or kidney disease prior to pregnancy How do I know if I have Gestational Hypertension? At each prenatal checkup, your healthcare provider will check your blood pressure and urine levels. Your doctor may also check your kidney and blood-clotting functions, order blood tests, perform an ultrasound scan to check your baby’s growth, and use a Doppler Scan to measure the efficiency of blood flow to the placenta. How is it treated? Treatment depends on how close you are to your due date. If you are close to your due date and the baby is developed enough, your health care provider may want to deliver your baby as soon as possible. If you have mild hypertension and your baby is not fully developed, your doctor will probably recommend the following: -->Rest, lying on your left side to take the weight of the baby off your major blood vessels. -->Increase prenatal checkups. -->Consume less salt. -->Drink 8 glasses of water a day. If you have severe Hypertension, your doctor may try to treat you with blood pressure medication until you are far enough along to deliver safely. How will this affect my baby? Hypertension can prevent the placenta from getting enough blood. If the placenta doesn’t get enough blood, your baby gets less oxygen and food. This can result in low birth weight. Most women still can deliver a healthy baby if hypertension is detected and treated early. If your hypertension is severe, it can lead to Preeclampsia, which can have much more serious effects on mom and baby. How can I prevent Gestational Hypertension: Currently, there is no sure way to prevent hypertension. Some contributing factors to high blood pressure can be controlled, while others cannot. Follow your doctor’s instruction about diet and exercise. Some ways you can help prevent gestational hypertension include the following: -->Use salt as needed for taste -->Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day -->Increase the amount of protein you take in, and decrease the number of fried foods and junk food you eat -->Get enough rest. -->Exercise regularly -->Elevate your feet several times during the day -->Avoid drinking alcohol -->Avoid beverages containing caffeine -->Your doctor may suggest you take the prescribed medicine and additional supplements |
shadow88:I just read about multicyctic ovaries. It's a less common occurrence where the ovary responds normally to lower than normal levels of pituitary hormones. Unlike for the polystytic, your follicles grew to 19mm but it will not turn into mature eggs. 2 major causes of multicystic ovaries are anorexia/being very underweight and a high level of stress or anxiety causing you hormonal imbalance. If you fall into any of the 2 categories, you'd have to make changes.....and also see your doctor for treatment plan. |
Milaby:This pregnancy did not touch you at all o. See how fresh and pretty you are looking ![]() |
tatacherie:The birthday babe is sooooo cute Happy birthday to her, wish her all Gods blessings. |
tatacherie:I thought you were coming to register ![]() |
MoreThanBlessed:Just go to a good pharmacy...if you are around Ikeja i recommended Alpha pharmacy off Toyin Street....and they'd give you the prescription too |
Temitope009:Amen |
MoreThanBlessed:Personally I didn't have to treat high prolactin but from other mamas experience, natural methods (every and cabbage) don't work by themselves. You have to do it alongside orthodox medicines like dostinex. |
khaite23:Congratulations!!! @spinal headache according to a mama (can't remember her moniker) , sipping on coke helps ease the ache. |
bukit05:If that was the case, the scan would have noted a much different EDD than your LMP. |
bukit05:Means you're prone to having big babies. But did they say why you went into labour so early considering your first was above 40weeks? |
Congratulations again bukit05. When you made your BA and said your baby weighed 2.5kg I also wondered if you got your lmp wrong. This is indeed the lords doing, kisses to your LO. This is also a lesson to us...when we are registering in these so called private hospitals for antenatal/delivery lets be sure to find out if they are equipped for emergencies...although we pray against them but its better to have the equipment and not need them than to need them and not have them. |
ijeije123:@bolded, pahdin?? Every human baby is born with fontanelle. The fontanelles help the skull to flex so the baby can pass through a 10cm birth canal. They close up at different times as the baby grows....there's no need for oils or herbs! Your baby is crying for some other reason, maybe colic, hunger or been wrapped up like a shawarma and she's sweating |
Rhemy2013:Oya welcome and take a seat. After you relax finish, supply us your EDD and gender
|
FloraEC:Kisses to him |
bilsworld61:May you receive double for your trouble and affliction shall not rise again. It is well. |
Bewiseedet:Don't worry, the owner of the company will pay for damages.... ....after calling the pilots mother to inform her of her sons death. |
Babygal2020:Yea mama |
nikz:May C's soul rest in peace, Amen |
Babygal2020:Thursday thread cuties... You bless us with a picture of your baby...nothing serious |
So our August mamas have refused to do thread cuties for us bah? Congratulations to all our August mamas that have offloaded so far, wishing the remaining and September porters supernatural delivery. |
Brownishshuga:I understand you went for scan because you are a FTM but the tests and pending results has to do with your health and not your baby. Now you are crying and further increasing your BP. Kwantinue o |
suilois:I've just checked the mastela 5 in 1 and id advice not to buy it. Your baby will outgrow a bassinet in a blink of an eye . A rocker is nice and very handy and your baby will use a regular one for longer as it grows. |
