Lagos is running its own economy and regarded as the six largest in Africa While your governor has plunged you state into a quagmire, you run to lagos for opportunities...... The road map was laid by Tinubu since 1999, I do not think you are being fair to his achievements in as much as I have reservations to his approaches My state is Lagos state, both my parents are full-blooded Lagosian. What roadmap did Tinubu, the roadmap to buying private jet? Jakande left Lagos as one of the most successful regions in Africa, it was Jakande that opened up Lekki, built the infrastructures that has transformed Lagos. just taken delivery of a brand spanking new "Private Jet", a "Bombardier Global Express XRS", said to be valued at about $60 million USD.

That aside, I don't know why some Nigerians are making things difficult for themselves! If RUGA is the solution, why not embrace it? What is common land?
Yesterday, a young man approached me, demanding I cede my 10 hectares of land to him else I won't like what would follow. I pleaded with him, but he refused, insisting he needed the land for an undisclosed business. To avoid issues, I left the land for him - for peace to reign.
So you see? It's not worth it! If RUGA is the solution, let's accept it for peace to reign. Doesn't make any sense killing yourselves cos of grass..
Nigeria go better. You dumb fool, how can RUGA be the solution. The Fulani's can build private ranch, pay tax and abide by the health and safety standard. This is how they deal with Fulani's herdsmen in Ghana https://twitter.com/fomax112/status/1362181114002104320?s=20 |

bluebay: Refinery sales was a key point some people turned against GEJ before the election. Wow. GEJ was useless. GEJ Finance minister and the petroleum minister, advise him to remove oil subsidies in 2012, there was even a week-long debate on the subsidies removal, but the hopeless "president with no shoes" decided to go against his own senior minister wasting $8 billion a year on fraudulent oil subsidies. Now you think the clueless GEJ would have sold the oil refineries to the appropriate investors, just look at the mess that he made of privatizing the Power industry. The power sector is worst after privatization than under NEPA. Before you start your APC vs PDP (GEJ vs Buhari) accusation, Buhari is even worse than GEJ, but that doesn't make GEJ a good leader, it just reflects on Nigerians failure to select good leaders. |

Does Buhari have a strategy or does he just react to events.
Selling the refineries was on the card in 2015 yet he wasted billions maintaining the unworkable refineries only to decide to sell when there are limited funds to steal.
The SEZ should be handed over to the states and let the state engage private investors to develop the SEZ. |

SilverNorGold: My brother, good you are beginning to see things clearly. Something I have seen a long time ago.
Also, please stop blaming Buhari. This is a trap. If Buhari had spoken, they'd say "because it affected Fulani/Hausa".. At least, now they'll know that Buhari's silence has nothing to do with tribalism.
As for the Hausa-Fulani attempted division, I also predicted it. The Southerners failed attempt to cause division between the Hausa and the Fulani is what provoked this. I knew a lot of Hausas were in trouble immediately I read about that news. They blamed the Hausa man squarely so they'd have reason to unleash mayhem.
I am neither Hausa nor Fulani, but these things are very clear for all to see.
As for that presidency that's causing the SW to disrupt the peace of my beloved Nigeria, they'll NOT have it. It's not a threat, but a promise.
Nigeria must better. The SW doesn't want the presidency, Tinubu and his criminal proteges do. The presidency offers nothing to the South West, the South West most successful leaders have been Awolowo, Jakande, and Ajasin, regional and state leaders that made a difference in health care, education, and infrastructure development, only a fool will think that owning the presidency will make a difference to that ethnic group, just look at Northern Nigeria under Buhari and the SS under GEJ. I can't name one single program or infrastructure that OBJ has accomplished in the SW and since Tinubu has been part of the presidency entourage what good has that done for the SW. Keep your presidency and let's talk about restructuring. |

Which means Igbos is represented in one of the two groups I mentioned. I now believed in what some people are saying about the last riot. Olodo! Recently, Lateef Jakande Jakande died last week and we were all eulogizing on his great achievements over 4 years and 3 months of his government. babaolofin: EndSARS protesters at Lekki are just looking for trouble. They should allow Lagos to be rebuilt. The EndSARS protesters may eventually clash with those in support of the rebuilding of Lagos. Some of them may not live to tell the story.
If those in support of the Tollgates should bring their groups to demonstrate in support of the Toll gate, there would be serious clash and there would be very serious and fatal casualties on the side of EndSARS protesters, they will say it is the government that sponsor hoodlums to wound and kill them.
You cannot stop LCC from the maintenance and construction of roads in that axis .You cannot stop the advert placement on the digital advert platform on that Tollgate . The maintenance of that road cannot be transferred to the government. We are all witnesses to the clean and well maintained road and continual construction works being undertaken by LCC at Lekki. The roads are getting bad and population is increasing.
If you are fighting Tinubu or APC you should not destroy Lagos. Those buses burnt are yet to be replaced. People rush in thousands daily at Oshodi, Obalende and Berger to board those buses, if Ambode had not imported many buses, the bus services would have collapsed and the people would be suffering.
You can go to Abuja, Adamawa and Anambra to disrupt developmental projects but allow Lagos to recover . We shall rebuild Lagos.
Meanwhile, the deadline of the ESN expired yesterday, we have not heard anything from the South East. What is the situation like ? Are they waiting for crisis at Lekki Tollgate and Oyo State before their actions ?
The Intelligence Agencies should do a thorough investigation of these crisis. It is not by accident that February 13 was chosen and events actually happened. If Lagos Developmental groups had clashed with EndSARS protesters yesterday, EndSARS protesters would have lost a lot of people, but they decided to withdraw because EndSARS protesters will say it is the government that sponsored them. They actually planned crisis for Lagos and Ibadan yesterday. The police in Lagos stopped the crisis at Lagos before it happens. Olodo, you should be asking Tinubu and Fashola to cough the money that has been wasted on the uncompleted light rail project 14 years and still counting. |
