Hearing my stomach rumble was a confirmation that even my stomach had gotten tired of being a 'property' of a broke man — it wasn't even Ramadan yet.

Not everybody would be brave enough to stand out and decide to chase their dream but I SuperOnyi did it. Seeing that I would never get to make my mother proud or be that "strong" big bro to my little siblings if I continued to work in that local bakery; I grabbed the bull by the horn and decided to earn a living out of my hobbies — writing, storytelling, and science.

I am just a high school graduate so getting a job that would pay me even as much as 50k is almost impossible, even university graduates in Nigeria find that hard. Just few days after making my decision, my laptop got stolen, and somehow through the help of my friend, I was able to get another laptop. Just few weeks later, inconsistent power supply became a trend, and I moved from one state to another just to avoid the wrath of Nigerian demons who derive pleasure in the suffering of Nigerian hustlers.

Now, my apartment is in darkness because my neighbors have refused to pay the light bill. I have become so broke and frustrated I decided to try out sport betting and got my heart broken into pieces. It's getting scarier because I have slowly become the perfect definition of that jobless uncle who stays at home all day doing nothing and my landlord is currently on my neck.

Nigeria has partnered with life to jam my pants zip against my testicles and I can't even move because I can feel a blade against my neck.
