nedekid: Exactly, and that is the doom of the country. We will turn around and hate, discredit who genuinely wants the progress of the country for tribal reasons. Are we not the ones, that have hooked now? Some people know how to naturally turn things around, but will a chance be given? I will give you 2 examples. 1. What did Osibanjo do when he took office for a short period, sars went off the streets, he sacked dss head that violated the judiciary, because of that police oga cautioned his boys and they knew he meant business, naira that hit 750 crashed to 300. How come. 2. For the past 8 years, no school, business, transporters would have been able to buy buses because of the high price due to exchange rate. Eg a brand new haice bus is currently over 40m, coaster 50m. A brand new korope from Suzuki cfao motors is 10m. Out of the blue, some sharp guy goes to Japan, starts buying 1st class used buses. Cuts the top off, disassembles them. Stacks eg 30 vehicles in a 40ft container instead of the 4 vehicles a 40 footer will contain. He the ships it in, assembles them and crashes the price of korope to 2m, hummer bus 7m. Nigerians can then afford to buy. This is what I mean. This same Nigeria could be handled by a competent person, naira would have appreciated, fuel price would have dropped, fuel importation would have been cheaper somehow. If you doubt, read again the example of cost buses I have up there, a way was found. My brother the people gets the kind of leaders they deserve, the leaders are a reflection of the society, the day our values changes ,we will change our leaders until then things remain thesame |

If only select few gained from subsidy, why are you talking about palliative? You ignore the root cause of a disease and blame the symptoms in the suffers for exhibiting those symptoms instead of handling the disease. Corruption and poor management is why subsidies choke nations. The world over, subsidy is a tool to outsmart your competitors nationally. Only here will heavily subsidized countries tell averagely subsidized ones to cancel subsidies and they will obey because of fiscal rascality. NairaGPT: The effect of this policy:
1. Borrowing becomes costlier: Poor individuals who rely on loans or credit for various needs may face higher interest rates on their loans. This can lead to increased repayment burdens and make it more difficult for them to access credit for essential expenses or investments.
2. Reduced spending power: As borrowing costs rise, overall consumer spending may decrease. This can lead to higher prices for goods and services, affecting the purchasing power of the poor and potentially making it harder for them to afford basic necessities.
3. Impact on employment: If businesses face higher borrowing costs due to increased interest rates, they may be less likely to expand or invest in new projects. This can result in slower job growth or even job losses, affecting the employment prospects of the poor. it seems Tinubu inherit Buhari's advisers ,this policies will continue to create hardship, now if Petroleum importers have to source funds at high interest rate add to high exchange rate please tell me the outcome on Petroleum prices, the people of Nigeria are on a long thing may God help us |

Do you Obidients noticed what happened there? Matter os qualification, or not, is of less concern to them. If you want to question qualification go to INEC. When you are in court it is about candidate's eligibility as a Nigerian, of age, and with minimum qualification.
Tinubu passed eligibility check. Any matter of qualification Obi and LP should go iron it out with INEC.
Below, they say respondent will be denied fair hearing if a Election Petition Court will engage itself in deep dive and start digging into evidence which are unrelated to their primary role as adjudicators for Election irregularities.
Wole Olanipekun was correct afterall when he said petitioners failed to bring issues of irregularities but instead went on fishing expedition overseas. you are very wrong matter of qualification is one of the grounds to challenge the outcome of an election it has been ruled severally as a pre and post election matter, that is it can be brought up before an election or after the elections |

We were going when the kuruke bought fuel along the way after the Sagamu interchange and could u believe that before we get to berger the man's fuel got finish as well and he have to enter another filling station to buy fuel again.
A guy inside the bus ask the driver about the fuel he bought just now on the way and he replied"that one nor go anywhere o". And I was wondering how much he carried us and what gain will he now gain now from the journey he just took.
And when I calculated how much the man get from carrying us and how much he spent on buying only fuel, I discovered that the man gained nothing from the trip. Does it now mean that the man is lazy and not hustling?
The simple truth is that Tinubu is just another Buhari that just want to be president and nothing else. That was not the option before him,he just wanted to show us he has courage at the expense of the people, he wanted to get international support to consolidate himself in power, nothing urgent about it ,why did the country not collapse since buhari and others have been pushing it forward The government is not suppose to be importing Petroleum products that it has comparative advantage in if they fail, it should not be the people that should suffer the consequences in high prices with the attendant multipler effect, besides serious countries subsidises one thing or the other for its citizens, be it health or agricultural or something beneficial for their people but here we believe we are not important to expect any benefits from government who is elected to attend to our needs to our satisfaction or be voted out It's so pathetic, reason we always get the short end of the sticks from our leaders, they can never respect us,with these attitudes |

Agan, Ive never seen an igbo man with excellent deductive reasoning you see the way you guys have been brain washed is very frightening, I fear for the future of this country, because of the benefits of few individuals who do not care about commoners like you ,everything Is now viewed from the prism of Ethnicity, any rational, or reasonable person or who does not agree with your reasoning is igbo as if its a crime to be igbo, I am yoruba ,I am driven by excellence not tribe, because that will not put food on my table or improve my welfare but good governance will, despite being a yoruba man, I don't personally know Tinubu therefore I cannot directly benefit from him, except he governors well, that is why that is my concern A government that takes action on impulse without planning is not acting well The action of the government has caused serious hardship in the land from astronomical cost of air fair both local and international, to local transportation, to food prices,to cost of doing business, to cost of health including drugs,in other climes this are problems that leaders are elected to solve but in Nigeria we believe in strong leaders who inflict pain on the people, while the enjoy opulence. |

Reference: And I also respectfully disagree with you with the facts that,
Until Nigeria operates the FOI Act without equivocation to thoroughly x-ray public finances from income to expenditure in the most transparent and accountable manner.
Until the preparation and execution of the Federal Budget is made to tally with the true position of our income and expenditure addresses our express developmental needs and NO MORE,
Until the overbloated, inefficient government apparatus is constituted with the efficiency of the private sector and the cost of administering this country is fixed at a set percentage of our income and NO MORE, such that lavish and ostentatious living amongst top civil servants and politicians is ground to a halt.....
Then I will never accept that Nigeria does not have enough money. For we can all pretend and join government to live a lie. Leadership is not more important than the citizens, period.
They say Nigeria is broke and Nigerians should live an austere life but not them.
4 trillion will be saved over the next 12 months. That is enough to make a substantial difference in the finances of Nigeria and enough to kick start any developmental program. They don't need to draw more blood from the fainting citizens in the form of taxes. Let us see what will be done with the trillions saved first.
I have never seen a developing or aspiring country where government is many times larger than the rest of the country. Here government commandeers every single resource out of the ground, out of the air and out of the minds of the citizens yet is relinquishing almost every corporate responsibility is has. Where is all the money going. The government are responding to the type of citizens they have, they have realised that the more comfortable the people are the more they agitate and revolt, but the more pain they receive, the more pliable and compliant they are, even give excuses for why the government is purnishing them, that its for their good, and for their benefit, that they should endure,in that way they government gets to serve out his time with minimal distraction,if in doubt check condition under Jonathan, check people reaction, check condition under Buhari check people reaction, check condition under Tinubu, check people reaction, it is consistent, its the people, Nigerians don't like leaders that have empathy, they call them weak, they prefer the task masters, they called them strong and courageous |
