D lady had her faults, yes! but did d mister's actions solved d probs? Hell no! but rather complicated it. This is whr d issue of selfcontrol comes in,women will always be women.
Ladies r not meant to be trampled upon but be cared for.
at ds juncture...i quit
Just wow! "Women will always be women" this is some serious bullshit, like the symbol of being a woman is verbally abusing people.

Ladies are meant to be cared for and not trampled on, and men are supposed to be a dumping ground for the worst form of abusive words a woman can lay her mouth on, that's just very intelligent thinking.

Please, educate your entitled self I beg you.

we shouldn't even be having this discourse as your mentality is one I cannot, will never and don't ever want to try to understand, given that it's just downright shallow.

Peace.

i av no regard for men in dat class
You don't care, now that's just a very myopic thing to say. If you can't take a minute to consider what this lady did and the impact it must have had on this mister, then you shouldn't blame him, especially because he tried to remove himself from the situation.

thank you.

The essence of this post is not to celebrate male superiority, but to point out that we love our ladies so much we don't want even a grain of harmless dust to prick them, but sometimes they push us so hard and create the impression we batter so much.
Ofcourse, I'm a woman and I like to think of myself as a feminist(eventhough most people don't understand feminism and what it's about) I stand for the truth.

Some women are just something else and can push you so much you begin to question all you stand for,and because I don't believe in violence, I think it's better that any man who finds himself with such a woman, let her go, until she decides to act like a mature and reasonable person, by communicating instead of hurling invectives at her man.

Yes, you both can still work something out but what happens when abuse occurs again. Abuse that has occured once can probably occur again.
I think you both need to see a counsellor, no relationship is perfect and be rest assured that she will annoy you again sometime in the future.
This isn't even about annoying him, the babe needs to grow up, their problems is mostly caused by the fact that she lets her so called friends interfere in their affairs.

She can't keep messing up and expect the young man to walk on egg shells, he did wrong by hitting her alright but then, there's only so much he can take.

I blame u Bro. You should have forced her to get rid of those evil friends she had.
They were jealous of her joy & succeeded in destroying it now. Its not too late to make amends though.

Ladies don't know what's good for them. U gotta treat them like what they are (babies). U just need to see me whipping my bae. Yet she'll lay her life for me
wtf? This is about the dumbest post I've read today. I mean that not as an offense btw.

OhLordhavemercy! What a passionate and destructive relationship you had. Pity you hit her. When a man hits a woman, she never really gets over it. Why will you look me in the eyes and hit me? Haaaaa, it's the beginning of the end for us. What a pity story...hope you still see and care for your child.
I also hope you won't hit him first, or even insult him so much that he'll start to wonder, especially if he can't match you words for words, hope you also won't lock the door when he attempts to leave.

OP, I don't support violence from anyone but seems to me like you did what you had to do, to remove yourself from that situation at the time.

I believe she is not a child and if everything you wrote here is true, then you two probably shouldn't be together, atleast till she is mature enough to decide what she really wants.

humilitypays:
I get your point so well but to me, the girls are not to be blamed but the FOOLISH guys who keep chasing them for ages and giving them sense of entitlement and importance!

Any guy that chases a girl for more than one month (maximum) is either:

1. Jobless
2. Not lovable
3. Paranoid
4. Idle/lonely
5. Frustrated and unfocused
6. Partially insane

Or he has a bad mission; probably revenge.

No sane man should chase a girl for more than 1 week because that girl u are wasting time, effort and resources trying to convince to date u is dying for one guy somewhere to ask her out or she is being messed up, used mercilessly by one low-class guy somewhere, so why the hassle?

Guys are to blame
Lol, I blame the guys too, if you feel you've made your point and she's not coming around, move on, if she's interested, she definitely will come calling, in any case she doesn't, then so be it, as it was not meant to be.

Well, it is time they changed. If only the guys would look the other way when we behave like that.
Yea, though I've never really behaved that way. I let a guy I'm interested in, know I'm interested, and that has never reduced my worth in any way, how you carry yourself really matters.

Why would anyone with a brain waste his time on an indecisive person?
You seem not to get my point.

Some of these women, aren't actually indecisive, they just has been made to believe, the more time he spends wooing you, the more value you have in his eyes, so they play the hard to get card.

I've seen women who, know that they want to be with a certain guy from the get go, still they play hard to get, to them, it's just a way to know that, they are valued.

Some warped mentality that is, but hey, it is what it is, we can only hope that with time and civilization, a woman's yes will mean yes/no will mean yes/no and will be taken as such.

This is why women should let a guy know upfront that they are not interested in dating him if they don't like the dude. Its wrong for some women to keep giving the guy hope by saying they are single but just want to be friends even tho they are not interested in ever dating the guy. Some women just like the attention from guys wooing them.
Ofcourse it's wrong but that's what the society/system has caused, some of them don't do it with intent to deceive, they just believe the guy will value them more, if he spent a lot of time wooing them.

You know
With sincerity, I have never seen such stupid display of attraction except when Nigerian men. If it is not mutual, it isn't.

But they would rather drag it for the rest of their lives.

As for me, I take drastic measures.
I hate being nagged on decision which are wholly personal and subject to my sole discretion.

If these women are actually fronting, make it blunt to them. And all them to holla when they age ready. Easy peasy
You know, most times, the problem is actually with the women(most of 'em), you hear them say they are not interested, whereas all they want, is the dude to chase further.

I can't entirely blame them though, as they grew up hearing or even seeing, that "men" don't value women who show interest on time, therefore, these women keep "forming" not interested till they feel it's time, because of this, it's hard for the guys to tell, if she's really not interested or just playing hard to get.
Romance › Re: How Long Should A Guy Woo A Girl Before Giving Up? by sweetcocoa(f): 8:12pm On Feb 27, 2015
I see some people saying, 2 months is too short a time, how is he sure he likes her in that time, can she trust him in that time? Etc

But that's what dating is for, saying yes to dating someone doesn't mean you are already in love with the person, when dating, is the time you take to study your date and probably fall in love with him/her, if after dating for a while you realize you both can't be, then you move the feck on.

Attraction and basic knowledge of who your wooer is, is all you need to date someone, you discover all you need to while dating.

Naija sha, all una things dey dey different.

Guys know how women feel about sex, cos for them its more of an emotional connection. Most ladies don't like being pressured into it. So a guy truly in love does not keep it at the forefront of his mind. He knows when to "strike" for lack of a better word. Whether it is before or after marriage.
I get what you are saying and I think we already agree, that a guy in love will hold off, if that's what his lady wants.

I think the only place we disagree, is that he isn't thinking about it.

Being a lover is not all about wanting kitten. If a man truly loves a woman, sex is the last thing on his mind. Men just want the satisfaction of knowing that "she is mine" and doing everything to keep it that way, if she's worth it. Preferable to being in a constant state of limbo, or watching on the sidelines while another guy taps that. Why torture yourself when you can move on jeje-ly
I don't agree that, $ex is the last thing on the mind of a guy in love with a woman, that's just pure fallacy.

$ex is among the top things on his mind, if he's with a woman he loves and is attracted to, he just agrees to hold off, if that's what she wants, to prove to her that it's not all about the $ex.

If you've ever been in love and attracted to your boo, then you'll know that, there's nothing as sweet as, hot passionate $ex, with your partner.wink

....If you feel she's worth the time and stressstill stand strong, buh if she's not worth it just check elsewhere jare.
I'm sorry but what do you mean by "as long as the feeling stays"?

Sounds like you don't have plans of dating the "nigga" you talked about, why advice OP to keep wooing even if the girl isn't interested?

OP, I think you shouldn't waste time 'pursuing' someone who doesn't want to be pursued, if she says she's not interested then let her be, though, I've come to realize, that some women say they are not interested, just to play hard to get, still, if a woman's interested, I bet you, you'll know, as she is sure to exhibit one or two green light signs.

Pay attention to body language and tell that girl with a very serious tone, that you'd like to date her for real and that you won't ask again, so if she's interested, she should let you know, if she still insists and you don't think you can remain friends, just gradually detach yourself from her, don't allow yourself get friend-zoned.
Romance › Re: Why Do Most Men Feel Insecured About Independent Women by sweetcocoa(f): 6:14pm On Feb 27, 2015
No one is totally independent of anyone else.

Being an independent woman as I see it, is having a mind of your own and being able to use it efficiently, not having to get a man's permission before doing things, which is what most Nigerian guys want.

It seems like the average Nigerian man always wants his fragile ego stroked, an independent woman won't always give in to that, which usually causes a problem because he thinks she's proud, smh.

There are men, however, who love strong women, such men you find out are very confident and intelligent, those type of men are the sexiest and best of them all.
