IamPatriotic: So so disheartening, may his soul rest in peace and God grant his parents and loved ones the fortitude to bear the irreparable lost. Such a big loss i tell you. After suffering in school, working so hard for his achievements, death now had to snatch him from reaping the fruits of his labour. RIP |
Investment › Re: CNN Makes Fun Of Nigerians For Still Believing In MMM by sweetilicious(f): 8:50am On Dec 15, 2016 |
HungerBAD: Interesting.
The first time I heard about this MMM thing, was when some of my well to do friends from out of the blues started asking me for money from Nigeria a couple of months ago.
When more than 8 asked me for money,I now knew it was not a coincidence, and so I became curious. And I was able to get the information out from 2,who had invested Millions each that it was MMM.
The first thing I did,was look it up if it was legal in the US,since the US is the biggest market for anything in the World.
And the United States classified it as a Ponzi(419)Scheme,and it is totally outlawed by the Country.
There is a reason I go with the US classification of things,as they tend to be realistic about everything.
In the United States, there are no Landcruisers Cars,no Avensis and Peugeot products as they do not meet the United States standards for safety. But these cars are dumped in Africa.
This Country will not touch anything sub standard.
So if the MMM is banned in the US as a fraud, then it can only mean it is fraudulent. Exactly. You know i had a lot of people preaching this MMM stuff to me. I became curious as well as i saw some of them getting a lot of stuffs. I almost parted with my hard earned money but on a second note, i thought about a chapter i read in my financial management textbook that states that some financial risks are not worth taking. I had to analyse if they face any challenges as a start up, is these any capital set aside for reimbursement? Are there a regulatory body that puts them in check just like NDIC is to financial institutions in Nigeria? No was my Answers. Also, my father's word of advice that says "Its only a greedy man that gets duped" This one alone corrected my brain immediately. I kept my money. Its better i buy more stuffs that i will used to celebrate christmas with motherless babies than to invest in MMM |

kwenu: Austria is a good country, strict but less curruption there and with a low population.many Nigerians are travelling to Austria yearly as i know , most especially edo indegines dominate austria (Nigeria represent). you cant live anyhow in Austria.your income is monitored, any single fraud alert against you will attract the Austrian Authorities to visit you residence.
the process involve in travelling to Austria is very long. you wait long. my friend started processing his and its 2 years now. they re still yet to grant him visa.
their education is free. you only pay some token amount of money for student union per semester(less than 500 euro persemester)
the process is long and their embassy is at Abuja only. i ll soon get you the list of items /step by step process in getting your admission and securing your visa. What if you have an uncle there? Is there anyway he can help with processing it if you have your transcript, WAEC and bsc certificate? Reply pls |

Business › Re: Why Is Pound Outstripping Dollars In Nigeria by sweetilicious(f): 5:57pm On Dec 14, 2016 |
RentALodge: LOL. It's because the Nigerian government made it that way.
Anytime the government talks about Forex, it's almost always referring to dollars, at least in action. In order to force a favourable exchange rate for the Naira, the Nigerian government commenced a clampdown on money changers, called Bureau De Change operators, and ordered for the price of dollar to come down. They neglected to do that for pounds.
Dozens of money changers have since this clampdown been arrested by officials of the State Security Service, SSS, in Lagos and Abuja.
This is something great about the free market system, it is difficult for you to cheat it. The communist mindset of the present government fails to realize that.
You cannot force the dollar to come down and make it available. It's not possible. You either free float it and make the forces of demand and supply to balance out, or force it to come down and make it scarce. Businesses are in business because they want to make money, not because they want to do charity. I think you are right |
