Some of the new comers to the UK have to be properly lectured by their family, guardians and sponsors on how to behave in a different society because they are no longer in their home countries where forensic DNA tests for rape and CCTV cameras are not too widespread.

Many young and older Black South Africans too own Porches and Ferraris got from their involvement in major investments in mining, financial markets investments, etc. Olukayode might have rented that luxury sports car because you can indeed rent luxury cars like that in SA and being a professional percussionist, he has the disposable income to do so.

SA folks also love Nigerian foods so the accusations of hate is a little exaggerated. Xenophobia exists though but awareness is growing about the negative effects of doing so among Black SA folks.

May be you should go to Ilorin and see for yourself. Yorubas are still the majority there, up 75%. Mind you, Ilorin is just a portion of Kwara state. The governor is always a Yoruba man. If you hear things from your fellow Ibos on Nairaland, still try to Google more about it so that you don't eventually look like a fool when you talk.
Indeed. Out of 16 LGAs in Kwara State, 12 LGAs belong fully to the Yorubas and 2 LGAs each belong fully to the Nupes, and the Baribas [The U.S.-based Farooq Kperogi is of Bariba ethnicity, otherwise called Batonu from Okuta in Kwara State].

Greetings everyone, I've been driving for over a year now and I've noticed we don't know how to use headlights in this country even my friend that visited from the US complained same thing.
I don't know if it's selfishness or what but how will someone be on very high beam even when opposite an incoming vehicle, I almost entered a ditch because an SUV beamed on my small Corolla to the point I couldn't even see properly, are there rules set for all these in this country?
God's willing if I don't leave this country within the next 2 years I'm getting a bigger vehicle and I will purposely install massive led lights I will be counter beaming people till they notice their mistake.
Regular eye check ups are very important too for all vehicle drivers in order to quickly detect and manage poor day or night eye vision.

Interesting taste of exotica for the Chef. I wouldn't eat that though because crocs are vicious canivores that have maimed humans in the recent past.

Karemarealty288:
Some bigots will not know that Amala is called Alibo in Igbo....why the banta?
Take note:

Elubo is the original and popular Yoruba name for the grinded dried yam powder [which is then used to make Amala by stiring it in hot water till it becomes semi-solid Amala].

The word "Alibo" is not Ibo but a corruption of the Yoruba word Elubo. Even the Hausas phonetically call it "Alibo," even though the real Yoruba pronunciation is Elubo.

Elubo - Grinded dried yams.
Amala - Grinded dried yams (Elubo) meal or swallow.

A few ethnic groups that are close neighbors to the Yorubas, such as the Igalas eat Amala as well with their own soups perhaps because of their part Yoruboid ancestral connections. I saw the reference to the Igalas eating Amala on a YouTube food channel a few years back.

AyobamiIsaac12:
Team DIY
My experience at the immigration headquarter here in Sauka, Abuja.
I left home around 9am because my appointment time was slated for 11am and I got there few minutes to 11. I went to the passport processing center and met two officers at the entrance. I told them I was there for capturing. They asked if I knew anybody there and I replied no. So he said I should wait for him to call an officer on the phone that will open a file for me. I started to think hope this is not what I'm thinking shocked

The officer came and told me to follow him to the back of the office building. He checked all my documents and said the passport processing fee is 10k. I told him I didn't have and there was nothing like passport processing fee on their website. He now started to explain that I will collect a form and some officers will sign bla bla bla. I said I no get that the only money with me was my transport and I was told capturing was free. So he said I should go back and meet the officers at the entrance. I left him and went to stay at a place close the building to see if I could get another officer and explain my ordeal to him/her. That was how one of the officers at the entrance called me to come, was even surprised how he saw me because I wasn't staying at place he could easily see me, I guess they were scared grin

He asked me what the other officer said and I told them he mentioned I should drop 10k but I was told capturing was free and I was not to pay anything while I'm here. He felt guilty instantly cos his facial expression reflected that. That was when he now said I should go inside. I met a man probably in his late 50s while going in and he asked me what I was there for, told him and he called an officer to open a file for me. That was how a file was opened, the necessary signings were done, and my file was given back to me. After some minutes I was called in for capturing. Captured and was given a paper that contained when my passport would be ready. Left there around 2:15 pm
On my way back home I opened the immigration website on my browser to check if my nin had been verified, and of course they already verified it.
Total amount spent = 26k
This is part of the innefficiencies that continue to make Nigeria a significant underachiever. When they lose their jobs due to undercover operations by the police detectives or the DSS teams, they will start shedding hot tears of anguish.

Foreign AffairsRe: AGOA 2023: No US Congress Members Will Attend Summit In South Africa (PICS) by Swiftgrp: 6:21pm On Nov 08, 2023
TMKsouth:
Members of the United States congress scheduled to attend the 20th African Growth and Opportunity Act (Agoa) forum — which starts in Johannesburg on Thursday — won’t participate in the crucial trade talks.

Diplomatic and South African government sources confirmed on Tuesday that congress members will instead stay at home for critical negotiations and voting regarding spending bills to try to avoid a US government shutdown on 17 November.

The US delegation will still be led by the country’s trade representative, Katherine Tai, supported by congressional staffers and other bureaucrats.

Agoa, introduced under the Clinton administration, provides sub-Saharan African states with preferential trade opportunities with the US by exempting them from import duties.

South Africa is hosting the 2023 Agoa summit at a time when its continued participation is up for debate, with the US arguing that the country’s economy is developed to a point where the exemption should no longer apply.

Clayson Monyela, spokesperson for South Africa’s department of international relations and cooperation, confirmed that the members of congress would not attend.

“We have been officially informed that the congress delegation will not travel due to the voting programme in congress,” Monyela said. “Congress staffers will attend the Agoa forum in addition to the other members of the senior US government delegation.”

A South African government source said the absence of the members of congress would not affect the talks, which are hosted by Trade, Industry and Competition Minister Ebrahim Patel.

“This is not a snub. The process will continue as planned. Katherine Tai, who is extremely senior, will still lead the US delegation,” the source said.

A diplomatic source said the withdrawal by the members of congress was not about Agoa, but about the US’s domestic political issues.

“Business in the house was shut down for several weeks while the Republicans selected a speaker. Now they are full steam ahead to pass a number of government funding bills to avoid a shutdown,” the source said.

“This has nothing to do with Agoa or other foreign policy matters — it is just that every single member is needed in Washington for critical negotiations and votes,” the source said.

FOUR COUNTRIES LOSE AGOA MEMBERSHIP

The Central African Republic (CAR), Uganda, Gabon and Niger are set to lose their Agoa membership.

US president Joe Biden on Tuesday gave notice to congress of his intention to “terminate the designation” of the four states as “they do not meet the eligibility criteria of section 104 of Agoa”.

Biden said he was taking the step as the CAR government had participated in “gross violations” of international human rights protocols, and had shown no intention of movement towards political pluralism, worker rights or the rule of law.

Niger and Gabon had not established, and were not in the process of establishing, protection for political pluralism and the rule of law, while Uganda “has engaged in gross violations of internationally recognised human rights”, the US president said.

The countries had failed to “address United States concerns” about their conduct and that the termination would take effect from 1 January next year.

The US would assess whether they met the Agoa criteria in the future and decide on their participation on the basis of this.
RomanceRe: LOL! South Africa’s Minister Of Health Bans Use Of Doggy Style During Sex: by Swiftgrp: 6:18pm On Nov 08, 2023
silvertuke:
South Africa’s Minister of Health, Aaron Motsoaledi, has banned the use of doggy style during intimate sex among sexual partners or couples.

Motsoaledi, according to a South African newspaper believes that doggy style is the leading cause of cancer and stroke in both women and men.

“The most energy consuming and stressful sexual position for men is doggy; Look, I’m only giving you guys a snippet but we will be posting the results of the full research on the ministry website.” He said.

And Motsoaledi said occasional doggy style sex especially on Christmas and on Valentine’s day may not be harmful, but each night maybe suicidal.

But women in Zambia have said such a useless law can never be entertained.

Sexual Reproductive expert, Sylvester Chongo said Zambian women are lazy in bed and would always prefer doggy style for a man to do all the pushing, because they lack the skill to delightfully move it on top or underneath.

Chongo said this laziness is the reason Zambian women can never allow such a law.

Hopefully someone leans from my story. I don't regret any of my decisions so far. I'm happy that in all, I wasn't consumed, used to a point of no return in fact if you see me, you'll hardly believe I'm 42. apart from say I get small protruding stomach ( which almost everyone has) and it's only when I eat. Otherwise its normal. So it's caused by food and I overeat.

I also don't regret not having children outside wedlock cos it would have reduced my chances of getting attention from men even at my age. Yes.. I still get attention like serious advances from single men. This is not to make a boast. In this year alone, I've had two suitors. Very responsible guy and another man but the thing with me is that I'm too picky. if I don't like you first, e go hard. So those two were not my spec and I won't trap myself in a loveless marriage just because of age or "time is going " , if it's not what I want, I won't do it. Call me anything you like, your opinion. I don't kia! tongue

Modified

I don't know why you're pained. That was me just being witty to lighten up the tense mood of my story but your dumb olodo self cant recognize a witty saying when you see one hence holding unto it and reacting like a beheaded chicken.

Empty skull
I like your story and believe in near-absolute terms all that you have originally posted here.
You initially sounded like a narcissist because at any little hint that a guy is seeing another lady, you end up ditching that guy... but then I reasoned that situations such as yours do occur. What you are today is the total sum of all your experiences in life triggered by subconscious impulses.

If I may ask, I can deduce you are Lagos-based, are you from Imo or Anambra since I can discern that you are from the SE.

Do you also still want to have kids? Then you seriously have to think of having your eggs frozen as long as they are still viable and the earlier the better. A guy who fits into your ideal situation or image of a man can emerge right now and sweep you off your feet. But guess what? Most men still always want to have at least 1 or 2 children from the women they are in a romantic relationship with or married to.
Since you are 42 and still looking "hot and younger" than your actual age, I foresee men who are in their very late 30s, 40s or 50s stepping up to propose if you put yourself in the ideal environment online and offline.

In any event, be happy and live you life to the full and do NOT be so picky about your choice of men because as long as a man is not yet married to you, HE has a right to have healthy convos with other women... And you also have the right to communicate with men and that is what is called BALANCE in life. We live in a world of cause-and-effect, so what you give is what you receive. Do you feel me?

Indeed it is capital intensive but if you want to purchase at farm gate price and warehouse for resale at a higher price or profit due to demand and supply or seasonality, that is okay too. In any event, just let Dr. Aiyemibo know what your specific needs are, and you will get a customized feedback via email, or whatever means available because there are many entry levels in the commodity space that do not require large funds for export or localized sales. By the way, are you still based in Edo State... and do you source for the cocoa from there or Ondo?

As you can see I’ve been taking care of my baby without family help for 9 months now. I did not request help from anybody especially because I live far away.

It was not a family secret. Mom and aunty already called both of themselves husband snatchers and blocked each other. The screenshot was me acknowledging that I know why my mom didn’t want to visit and that I did not support my mom.
That's beautiful.
You're doing well by taking care of your baby all by yourself. I have a clearer understand of this situation now with your response here.

It seems your mum and her sister are in their 40s to early 50s to have called each other husband snatchers. They both must still be very hot and pretty women. In any event, this should not escalate further and you personally have to reach out to your aunt's husband to call a family meeting later on where you all can apologize to one another... Especially your mum and her sister. Your aunt's husband is a man here and should be able to bring everybody together.

Time heals all wounds and I know you all will get back together as a family because blood is thicker than water. The word SORRY has the ability to lead to forgiveness on all sides.

Do you get me?

Wait ooh...bros wait.

Sir, are u into the trade??

What commodity are u based on?
Alright then...

I'm not into any of those specific commodities mentioned but will diversity into that soon.
I have a deep knowledge of the field though based on my prior contacts.

If you easily want top info about specific export commodities, I'll advice you to contact Dr. Bamidele Aiyemibo of 3Timpex to get specifics on the type of commodities you want to specialize in. Just do some googling to get his full website and phone contacts. Commodities is a technical field with a lot of documentation or paperwork involved, so it's good to get sound training and experience from internationally recognized experts like him who are in the top 3 commodities experts in Africa.

People fail here because they often skip this part of the process, then they end up losing money and say commodities export is dangerous.

Cheers!
