The Ekiti State Police Command has arrested four suspects for rape and cyber stalking of a 28-year-old woman.
Spokesperson of the command, ASP Abutu Sunday, who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday April 27, said the victim was invited to a hotel in Ado-Ekiti, by her boyfriend where she met him smoking weed and drinking alcohol with his four friends.
According to the victim, she was offered a bottle of drink suspected to have been spiked and lost consciousness after taking it.
Upon regaining consciousness, she discovered that one of the suspects was raping her while others including her boyfriend were filming the act and making fun of her.
The victim begged the suspects to delete the video but instead they posted it on TikTok.
She reported the case to the police who swung into action and arrested the four suspects while effort is ongoing to arrest her boyfriend identified simply as Victor.
"The juvenile Welfare Centre (JWC) of the State CID, Ekiti State Police Command, on 21/04/2022 arrested one Miracle Emmanuel '19yrs', Bello Tunde '20yrs', Peace Osho '20yrs' and Emmanuel Oluwaseun '22yrs' for conspiracy, rape and Cyber Stalking against a 28yr old woman," the statement read.
"The victim narrated that on 5/4/2022, her boyfriend, one Victor who is currently at large, invited her to Lovely Hotel, Ado-Ekiti. She obliged after much persuasion and went to the Hotel to see Victor
"To her dismay, according to her, on getting to one of the Hotel rooms where Victor lodged, she met him with about four(4) of his friends who were all drinking alcohol, smoking weed and catching fun.
"According to the victim, she was offered one of the bottles of drink which she took and became unconscious. She regained her consciousness at a point only to discover that one of the suspects was having sexual intercourse with her while others were videotaping them and making fun of her.
"The victim said she begged them to conceal the video and delete it but to her surprise, the video was later posted on the social media Tik-Tok.
"She immediately reported the case to the Police who swung into action and arrested the four(4) suspects while effort is ongoing to arrest the other fleeing suspect who is at large.
"One of the suspects confessed that he actually had sexual intercourse with her in the presence of the other suspects. All the suspects arrested will be charged to Court for prosecution. Bump. Smh. |

Ondo born former PR guru and former Information Minister and NSC boss, Sir Chief Alex Akinyele is dead.
His death was announced by his son Constantine, Kayode Akinfolarin Akinyele a couple of hours ago. According to him, his father died after a brief illness. In his post on his Facebook wall, Constantine Akinfolarin Akinyele did not state where his father passed on.

Sir Alex Akinyele was one of the few men who brought character and panache to national service when he served Nigeria as the Infornation Minister and later Chairman of the National Service Commission during the military era.
Biography
Chief Sir Akinyele Opeyemi Alexander: Born on April 24th 1938 to Pa Akinyele a soldier and an ex-serviceman who was by the end of the Second World War holding the rank of a Regimental Sergeant, he retired in 1974 as a Court Clark in Ondo town. Alex attended all Saint Primary School Ondo, Gboluji Grammar School Ile-Oluji and St. Andrew’s College Oyo. While at St. Andrew’s College, he was appointed the school first reception prefect. He studied English language at the prestigious university of Ife now Obafemi Awolowo University. On leaving Ife he worked as a teacher at Olofin Grammar School Idanre and in June 1967 he applied to join the Nigeria Police force and was offered a place as a trainee assistant Superintendent of Police, but fate had other plans for him.
On reporting to the Police Service Commission, the other 12 trainees recruit were not present due largely to the commencement of the civil war. He was directed to join the customs. After his 18 month training programme, Custom Controller Henry Duke appointed him the first Public Relation Officer of the Nigeria Customs and Excise. Chief Akinyele, Remained a man that will never shy away from public glare or the press. If success is a relative word then judging by his own standard one can say it without fear that Chief Akinyele was a successful man, one that doesn’t believe that money guarantees happiness.
A man of vast tentacles, a Communicator, Public Relation Practitioner, industrialist and Executive Director of so many functional Companies, and above all a Philanthropist. Chief Alexander Opeyemi Akinyele was a charismatic man of gait and immerse stature and yet unbelievably accessible. Following his retirement from the Customs he joined the private sector business.
It is on record that he was the first former secretary general of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relation that eventually became the President. As president of NIPR he was very vocal and actually changed the face of public relation in Nigeria. In fact he injected panache into the body. Ebullient good looking, and entertaining Alex is truly an Image Maker who was always ready to contribute meaningfully to any healthy discussion that bother; on the advancement of the Nigeria polity as well as the upliftment of public relation practice in the country, A cursory look at part of his achievement during his tenure as NIPR President reveals that he fought against quacks in the profession and encouraged large registered memberships.
Under his leadership NIPR liaised and aligned itself with the universities of Lagos, Akoka and Nigeria, Nsukka for more emphasis on public relation in their mass communication syllabus. Perhaps it was on this basis that the former military president, General Ibrahim Badamosi Babaginda deemed it fit to first of all nominate him as a member of the constituent Assembly and later appoint him as the Minister of information thus becoming the very first public relation practitioner in Nigeria to be appointed into that post. In his stint as the Information Minister/ Chief Akinyele did not only perform his role creditably well but also with great zeal, enthusiasm and style. Chief Alex Akinyele has received so many chieftaincy titles which include Lobosin of Ondo land and Jagunmolu of Ipetu-Ijesha just to mention but a few.
Despite the fact that President Babaginda was noted for shuffling his cabinet at will/ Chief Akinyele was still considered as among the Ministers that could be discarded. Eventually when the president decided that it was time to have a change in the information ministry, he thanked Chief Akinyele tremendously and promise him yet another job. Akinyele was later appointed the Chairman of National Sports Commission (NSC) though several years later he bowed out from the NSC in a circumstantial manner, his tenure as the boss of the NSC saw Nigeria moving to a greater height, it was under his chairmanship that a Nigeria Contingent for the first time did put up a superlative performance ever. Nigeria won a bronze and four silver medals at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic. The following year the Nigeria under 17 team the Golden Eaglet won the under 17 world cup (Japan 93), in addition to the golden boot and the fair play prize. In 1994 the Super Eagles for the very first time too also qualified to play in the final of a world cup (USA 94).

Most people tend to gravitate towards their own linguistic and cultural kind when choosing a partner of the opposite sex before looking out to other cultures though. I know of two successful marriages involving a Nigerian multimillionaire of Yoruba descent by the name of Chief Alex Akinyele who was married to a beautiful South Africa woman for many years till she passed on. She had children for him and lived in Nigeria but traveled regularly to SA. He met and fell in love with her when she came to a Nigerian University during the apartheid years back in the late 1960s to study on scholarship. Many South Africans schooled in Nigeria (including the former SA President Thabo Mbeki) during that era on Nigerian or UN scholarships.
Second, recently too the successful Nigerian architect turned Pastor by the name Pastor Odukoya lost his South-African wife (Nomthi Odukoya) to cancer. He lost his first wife Bimbo to a horrendous plane crash in 2005, but got remarried to Nomthi few years later.Chief Alex Akinyele and Pastor Odukoya were both Nigerians from the major Yoruba ethnic group. Friends defend Nigerian lady who ‘divorced’ her husband at Airport in London upon arrival
The dramatic case of a Nigerian man, Henry Osah, who arrived in the United Kingdom with his kids to reunite with his wife but was dumped at the airport by the wife who only took the kids with her is continuing to generate reactions.
Even as the lady in question has spoken up to defend her actions, a number of her friends are also speaking up in her defence.
At least one of the friends, Peace Obule, felt so strongly about the case that he prayed that the man would be deported back to Nigeria, adding that even then it would not be enough for what he did to his wife when she was with him in Nigeria.
The story was broken on an online community for Nigerians in the UK by a lady with the Twitter handle @jayydubby.
She wrote:
“Hello everyone,
A family friend of mine is in urgent need of a job with sponsorship. Last month, he arrived in the UK with his children as dependents and his wife went to pick them up at the airport and asked to see their children’s passports, which he handed over without any suspicion. She then told him that their marriage was over and wanted nothing to do with him. She took their children and abandoned him at the airport. He just come to the UK for the first time to join his wife, who came last year to study. He helped pay her fees and sold off everything he had to join her.
Today, the Home Office sent him a letter saying that he has until 1st of January, to return to Nigeria. He has nothing to go back to and may never see his children again.
I am pleading with anyone who can help him with a job referral so that he can stay and fight for his children. If you know of any job openings or can put him in touch with someone who might be able to help, please reach out to me. I would be incredibly grateful. 🙏🏼😥.”

Many netizens reacted to the post with cynicism, insisting that the marriage must have broken down before now for a woman to take that action.

A Twitter user with the handle @tiffanyibeh responded with some venom, accusing JayDubby of not telling the whole truth.
She wrote: “A family friend of yours ?? And you want to say you Donno how he beats up his wife back in Nigeria?? He’s been beating her up for years!! And coming to the UK was her chance of getting freedom! She did what she did just to be with her kids again!”
When JayyDubby tried to rubbish her version of events, @tiffanyibeh responded:

A young lady has taken to social media to expose the new trick of one-chance robbers after she was robbed and s3xually molested by some men in Abuja.
The lady, Faustina Dirissu, who goes by the name Pretty Choice on social media, said her neighbour sent her a vacancy notice about an ushering job and she contacted the advertiser to indicate interest.
She said she was told the event would last four days and she would be paid N10,000 per day.
Choice said she was interviewed on WhatsApp and was told she qualified and was to make herself available for the bus that would convey her and the others to the venue of the event.
By the time she got to the pickup point on the appointed date, she was told that the bus had passed and she had to find her way to another location where someone would pick her up.
When the person picked her up, Choice said she was alarmed that he was driving for too long and she asked him what was happening.
She said the man explained that he planned to take the back gate of the estate.
Soon after that, the man reportedly produced a gun and asked the lady to follow him into the bush where she was stripped naked, molested and robbed of all the money on her.
Choice said they asked her to call people to send her money and she could only think of a friend who also sent N30,000. The money was transferred to an Opay account with the name: Abdullahi Opeyemi Ajibade.
The thieves collected her two phones and later returned one, saying they did not want iPhones.
According to her, when the robbers were done with her, they asked her to look for her clothes flung into the bush to dress up as she was completely naked.
While searching for her clothes, she said she discovered that there were many female dresses in the bush apparently left by past victims of the robbers and she had to settle for a pair of jeans and a top that were not her own, as she found it difficult to locate hers.
Choice said she decided to make the video to prevent others from falling into the same trap and appealed to fellow ladies to be extra suspicious of job offers even from friends and neighbours.

Firstly, he wouldn't know about the phone because I'd have bought it behind his back and using it in secret for the purpose of social media.
Secondly, I'm not that much of a weakling to be easily falling for social media men who could be potential killers or rapists. That's fair enough... but most genuine men are very protective of their women. Second, you're wise. It's great that you have the ability and discipline to discern situations that can put a woman in danger. A significant number of females have fallen into such horrendous situations after responding to job interviews or even clients' enquiries from fake social media accounts on FB, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), etc, only to get robbed and/or sexually assaulted.Stay safe. |

In any event, a lot of folks who are not experienced in legit arbitraging will lose their hard-earned money in USD due to poorly thought out speculations. You have to know when to EXIT any asset by gathering functional knowledge through self-research and/or paid research. |

Go and sell your dollar, the peak time for dollar to go up was August, September and October, because we had very high demand during these period since most traders source for more dollars within these period to place order for good they want to sell during this December period.
So from November, dollar demand tends to reduce a little bit, also by December many people abroad will come home with some dollars as well.
So I don't think we will have a very sharp further increase again, rather we should have a stagathering drop. Well said. |
