Is'nt this the same people posts on nairaland claim are at each others troats? One has to be skeptical of some stories on this forum!! |
All you football holigants just crashed nairaland because of some shamabolic goal...no matter how they crawl their way through this match, they will not win the tournament so why the noise? |
Gbawe: You don't get it. They can talk because of the abysmal failures of Nigerian leaders. Show me a Police college in the UK, US, France or even South Africa that looks as bad as the pictures that emerged recently in Nigeria. Will those pictures not prompt even the most liberal non-Nigerian to lash out at the corruption and profligacy that leaves such a pivotally important national security agency (the NPF) so starved of funds?who ever said we did'nt have problems? We have monumental problems that need an all hands on deck approach by all nigerians to solve...every country has problems, south africa that you spoke of with all his wealth has the highest hiv rate worldwide, checkout the raw poverty that sits in "soweto", russia a member of that G8 is extremely corupt and has more oil than nigeria why are'nt they being asked how their money is spent? Some weeks ago the bbc carried out an experimen on the most traffic congested cities in the world, lagos toped moscow!!..yes, we have problems but we as a people, a nation has to solve them just like china did and today it is sending shock waves around the world, because once again this western nations don't have friends but interest, THEY CAN'T HELP US, WE MUST HELP OURSELVES!!!!!!!!!!! |
sobastical: I concur to this, sir!thank you most kindly!! |
What a stupid article!! No source, not even the amount they presuptively pay. Meanwhile there is strong evidence of how much babtunde fashola's government spend on foreign media to portray lagos as a growing "mega city" but that does'nt gain traction because jonathan is such a juicy target. |
This is incredibly grotesque!!! Well it's a free world and everybody has a right to their own body!! |
It's sad because this just luminates the fact that their are thousands of yound nigerians out there willing to go to school but can't due to fees...with all the money in this country can't we afford a student loan program? Thinking of all the things missing in this country when we have the ability to provide it brings a tear to my eye. |
Seeing all these comment here, i am struck my some people's utter myopism!! Do you actually thing these western nation care about this country? They say it themeselves that "they have no friends, only interest". When olusegun obasanjo was in power and george w. Bush and di*ck cheney were squeezing this country via halliburton, when tony blair and his cronies were making a windfall from this nation they never discussed transparency in nigeria or held a special section on it in the G8 rather he had state visit honours bestowed on him. But now mysteriously it's on the agender on the garthering of the 8 most powerfull nations on earth. Hmmmmmmm...if it smells funny, i ain't eating it. |
This is hogwash!! I call bullpucky!!!:p:p....we're still waiting for the light rail, eko atlantic city,e.t.c and now they are talking of puting cable carts in a "mega city" this is laughable..how many cities in the world have cable carts in a metropolis? Oh please.. |
Why do these companies think celebrity endorsement help their brand? I don't know about others but ice prince face or any other celebrity on a glo advert will not prompt me to use glo with all their network deficiency!! Rather than wate money on useless, non productive endorsements. Spend that money to imprive your network. |
When former political rivals in western countries reconcile nigerians call it "democracy" and evidence of how advanced they are, when the same happens in nigeria, nigerians says it's a sham, "money has changed hands"...why are you nigerians so cynical and always first in line to bash your country. |
shine-eye:i define idiocy as an advanced case of ignorance which have caused you to turn a blind eye to old men marrying little girls in your moral country. Your moral country allows and certify child abuse! Child brides! Kids whoes dreams hopes and aspirations are crushed by one old alhaji who is rich enough to buy them from their parents and turn them to baby making relics. When this abnormality takes a back seat to concerting adults deciding on how to live their lives, you know this country is primitive and you mister and your kind are the bain of this primitivity. |
shine-eye:your comment prolificates stupidty!! How has lesbians contributed to the sorry state this stupid country is in? How many lesbians do you even know? Meanwhile kidnapping have turned to a lucrative buisness in nigeria. Armned robbers are having a filled day, oil bunkering is at an all time high in the south. What progress has been made on these issue that are destroying the nation? Rather the police are after defenceless women be cause of the way they choose to live their lives. They are flexing muscles because they are after a single women but at the sound of a gun shot from criminals they will remove their uniforms and scram!! Utterly pathetic!! |
Wow!! Thank God for the nigerian police..they're finally getting things done. Not minding all those armned robbers, kidnappers, oil bunkerers, ritualist and other vices crippling this country, just get those lesbians. They're the reason for the insecurity country. Just catch them and everything will be better!!! |
Anybody who's hope is being risen by this is gonna be so so disappionted!! It's just gonna be a few days of t.v time in front of a judge with efcc branding their guns and red vest, arriving with him in their van. The press will be in a frenzy taking pictures, and after a few days , it'll all be history. If you don't belive me ask oladimeji bankole!! |
Did the judge know how people senoir citizens have died and suffered due to this man's theft and you basically give him 2 years in prison or 250k option? This is a slap on the wrist!! Why won't more people loot. Astonishing!! |
Looking critically i don't see this working. It must be an idea being thrown around by back bench tory mp's. David cameron will never do anything that will make his loose tory voters to ukip. Ukip is promising a total freeze on immigration, both legal and illegal and it's really resonating among tories. If david cameron does this, he has thrown away the 2014 general elections. |
Legislation was recently passed in china and japan. Whereby the government can prosecute adults who abandon their elderly parents. Do you think the national assembly should debate a nigerian version? |
I'm still a teen so i hope this thread is brought back sometime in the distant future for my contribution. |
At the same time the u.k government is launching advertisement in local stations of most migrant nations. Telling intending immigrants that there is nothing to enjoy in the u.k so don't come. ![]() ![]() |
That's why i'm very clustaphobic!!! I can never be in a crowded place with only one exit. It's a recipe for disaster!! Thinking of the stampede that must have occured, the chocking people, all the dead bodies and even the guards blocking the exit because they think people are escaping not to pay their bills not knowing there's a fire!! It's just so heart renching..my taughts and prayers are with the farmilies of the dead. R.I.P!!!! |
Is anybody surprised by this? It was expected!! France's terrorist level is now at "code red" because they expect an attack on their homeland due to their involvement and they are effectively working to prevent any attack. So i expect nigerian security agencies to be prepared to counter any attack one the nigerian homeland. |
lynpetra: You mean a democratic system where civilians can strip and burn fellow civilian to death and the police will volunteer the lighteryour premise is quite correct because i'm not denying our police have problems but they remain the police and the military remain the military, everyone need to know their duties. Plus the grotesque nature of your closing comment might have scared me. I'm gonna bleach my brain now!!! |
They should be left alone to live their lives. Nigerians and the government need to learn how to mind their buisness. I even don't see the readon for all this rancoor cause with the intolerant nigerian climate, no gay will even show themselves transgender publically so what's the noise for? If you belive being gay is a sin, stick to your belief and let the gay guy or lesbian girl settle themeselves with their creator. Just as people turn a blind eye to old alhaji's marrying tenage and even kid girls, people should learn to mind them buisness when concenting adults decide what sort of life they choose to live!! |
Rhino.5dm:i think if you use your brains better you'll realise that the state house holds thousands of meetings, luncheons, state dinners, prayer breakfast and tons of others in a year. That is what that feeding money is for not for the first and second farmily only. If you think it's only in nigeria go and see the white house budget, congressional administrative commitee budget, buckingham palace welfare budget.etc. And finally the president has visited the acardemy and there are steps being taken to right the wrongs. If things don't get better subsequently then you can spew your rants. |
This is a prolific attestation to my premise that nigeria has a fast rising middle class and a growing industial sector, no matter what any simpleton or skeptic says, this country is on an upward trijectory..all that is left now is to fix our power sector and create a stable environment for investors who need virgin lands like ours to invest and make sure that all this new revenue is put into good use like creating a safety net for the poor and make sure more rise into the middle class. |
This is stupid and disgracefull...and the military need to learn how to respect others. This is not the miltary era. It's a democracy and so far as you are not in a war zone, you have to respect the law and the domestic custodians of that law who're the police. Utterly disgracefull!! |
Apparently this poster don't know the meaning of quotes. These are shambolic random sentences. Quotes are powerfull and resonates in peoples mind. "we have nothing to fear but fear itself"- franklyn rooservett, "grief is the price we pay for love"- queen elizabeth ii, "ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country"- john f. Kennedy. Etc! Don't try and hype the intelligence of a relatively sublime man!! |
What is the penality as stipulated by the national assembly for this level of "child abuse"? How many years do child abusers get? Oh..i forgot they're still busy giving gays 40 years. |
Arise o compatriots, nigeria's call obey, to serve our fatherland, with love and strength and faith, the labours of our heroes past shall never be in vain, to serve with heart and might, one nation bound in freedom, peace and unity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
I'm extremely skeptical about this!! |
What does bauchi need an airport for? What economic importance will an airport serve the state? Is it of any strategic importance economically that needs a direct airport? This money can be put into better use like water for villages, subsidies for farmers and even roads both urban and feeder, schools and many more!! This airport craze is getting ridiculous!! |
