Christianity EtcRe: A Thread For Catholics by Syncan(m):
Not that I have become perfect yet: I have not yet won, but I am still running, trying to capture the prize for which Christ Jesus captured me. I can assure you my brothers, I am far from thinking that I have already won. All I can say is that I forget the past and I strain ahead for what is still to come; I am racing for the finish, for the prize to which God calls us upwards to receive in Christ Jesus.
Phill 3:12-14.

How wonderful sometimes when I hear the choir chant the litany of saints...Sancte Paule, ora pro nobis...Sancti Fabiane et Sebastiane, orate pro nobis...Sancta Teresia, ora pro nobis...Omnes sanctae Virgines et Viduae, orate pro nobis...Sancte Augustine, ora pro nobis...Sancta Lucia, ora pro nobis....it goes on and on.

That litany usually fills me with pride, with reassurance, with hope...and a sense of belonging. In this litany is noticed; the name of St. Paul, he now has finished the race, the prize is now his own, his name in the book, never to be blotted out forever. Yet he was once like you and I, uncertain about the future, yet trusting unshakably on the grace from Divine.

Among those saints, are people who while on earth, even I in my sinful state; would have regarded as bad influence. They turned, they forgot the past, they strained ahead, and they won the victory. They await us there, in our home, a home prepared for us, a place of eternal joy.

Many have I related with here on this thread, to some I may possibly introduce myself here on earth, some i may not possibly meet, however one thing is sure, If we persevere; we will surely meet in heaven. I'll like to think that it will be great when I look at you and say "Hi I am Syncan of NL"...how happy we shall be.

Heavenly race; I no go tire, heavenly race; I no go tire, heavenly race; I no go tire....I no go tire.

Good morning brethren, a splendid day and a fruitful week ahead to all.

Today's responsorial psalm, in which I see much beauty; when its put together thus:

"Let me hear what God the LORD will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, to his saints, to those who turn to him in their hearts. Surely his salvation is at hand for those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land. Steadfast love and faithfulness will meet; righteousness and peace will kiss each other. Faithfulness will spring up from the ground, and righteousness will look down from the sky. Yea, the LORD will give what is good, and our land will yield its increase. Righteousness will go before him, and make his footsteps a way. Ps 85:9-14

Amen Amen, a prophecy to our land, to our nation, in this trying times. Let our hearts ring with joy, alleluia, at the hope for a better tomorrow; as we pray for our country....especially at Missa today.

Good morning brethren, a happy Sunday to all.

I tell you solemnly, if your faith were the size of a mustard seed you could say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it would move; nothing would be impossible for you.’ Matt 17:20

Isn't it interesting when we measure our faith by how much we "believe" that the outcome of a particular event, project, encounter, action, etc, will be positive in line with our desires. A student feels he has faith when he believes his result will be successful, a spinster feels she has faith when she believes she will be married to a suitable man by the end of the month, a childless couple believe they will have a child before the end of the tenth month counting. We look at this as faith. Little wonder that we get discouraged, desperate and sometimes driven to complete despair.

I see faith as a totality of belief and dependence in the "omni-everything" which God has revealed that he is, yet willing at all times to abide by His decision. Faith express love for God when He says No, faith is patient with God when He says Wait, faith offer thanks to God when He says Yes, yet in all these, faith listens, trusts and obeys God.

Cares and concerns of life are sometimes too difficult to handle, each one of us with different problems, some could be shared...believe me, some can't be shared. However, heaven is filled with people like you and I who faced such problems. Heaven is filled with the childless, the jobless, the sick, the poor, the unmarried, the separated, the lonely, the persecuted etc, while on earth. They took their situations in stride, looking up to God, loving him, waiting patiently, thanking Him when he says yes to other needs, and now they rejoice in everlasting bliss; remembering not their earthly lack. Lets not despair dear ones, lets all today dear brethren, in all humility, look up to God and say “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief! Mk 9:24

Good morning brethren, a splendid day ahead.

You visit every thread only to show how you hold fast to the doctrine of the devil. Shame on you and your teachers, hell beckons if you refuse to wake up from your slumber.

Ignorance won't be an excuse bro.
hahahahahaha, I am not the first to recognize your lying lips cool cool However take note:

Ex 23:1)- You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness.

(Prov 19:9)- A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies will perish.

(1Pet 2:1-2) - So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation... to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. ...

(John 8:44) - You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

BE AWARE!! While i continue my song...Everything na double double oooo, na double double grin grin

Is it not disgusting that we have to hear such foolish and childish things from you?

Take your evil and unchristian doctrine where they belong. No one is interested in your futile, foolish and satanic messages from the pit of hell aka RCC. It isn't a secret anymore that your cult is the devil's most dangerous tool till date.
Any one who has been around or care to check knows about you and your two gospels, does your "holy spirit" change too huh huh

What I know about the gospel (goodnews) of Jesus? Why are you interested, I thought it is for your so called "Judaizers". Just keep getting high on your gospel of Paul, even by their words; we shall know them. cool cool

In addition to bathing with hot brackish/salty water, add Akanwu to the water. Don't dry your body with towel.

Apply grounded Cameroon pepper all over your body while still wet. Then rub Akwu-Ojukwu on your eye lids and toes and chew 5 bitter Kolas.

Then whenever you want to go out, drop 5 drops of Groundnut oil on your head, and then keep N300 worth of vegetable on your head at all times.

frosbel: There should be no denominations whatsoever , Jesus came to build ONE church not 42,000 denominations.

The problems with denominations are many but here are a major few :

1. The leaders lord it over the sheep which is unbiblical.
2. One MAN is the head of such a group ,again making it unscriptural.
3. Each denomination restricts the distribution of resources and money to it's own church. In other words a redeemer may see a catholic brother starving to death and not care one iota.
4. They take collections from people under a false concept and impoverish the poorer brethren while enriching the middle class.
5. It encourages laziness among the pastors and leads to every man or woman wanting to start their own church on the premise of some questionable calling.
6. It causes immense friction in the body of Christ as we cannot even agree on the major bible doctrines talk less of unity
7. It encourages arrogance in the leaders and results in unaccountability in the way they treat the sheep and spend their money
8. It is rotten to the core.

We need a solution to destroy ( not modify ) this tower of babel ( confusion ).
I agree that Jesus Came to Build one church, he said it in Matt 16:18, On Pentecost, this church was formed. The kingdom of heaven was not to overcome it...therefore it must have remained till today. It was to have leaders as seen in Acts 15:6, united under a leader as he wished when he told one alone "...Feed my sheep" Jn 21:17. We do not need now a sovereign religious conference, lets go back in time to seek this church, it must still exist, it must be transferring authority in apostolic succession, except we doubt the words of Christ, and fool ourselves that the church he founded is no more.

hahahaha, as those who seek God "in truth and in spirit" Jn 4:23, they read truth from my post and "their heart burned within them" Lk 24:32, so much that they acknowledged their appreciation in that manner. Now that you've heard the truth "harden not your heart" Heb 3:15 ...like your fathers did. grin grin

But still we have a wisdom to offer those who have reached maturity: not a philosophy of our age, it is true, still less of the masters of our age, which are coming to their end. The hidden wisdom of God which we teach in our mysteries is the wisdom that God predestined to be for our glory before the ages began. It is a wisdom that none of the masters of this age have ever known, or they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory; we teach what scripture calls: the things that no eye has seen and no ear has heard, things beyond the mind of man, all that God has prepared for those who love him. 1 Cor 2:6-9.

Amen Amen: we teach the communion of saints, knowing that we have a cloud of witnesses Heb 12:1. We profess the Eucharistic Jesus, for the master had said "this is my body" Matt 26:26. We confess our sins and obtain pardon, for the Lord had said "whose sins you forgive is forgiven" Jn 20:23. We love the blessed virgin with a childlike love, for her son, our "brother and co-heir", had given us to her when he adopted us, for He said "...behold thy mother" Jn 19:27 . Yes, Yes, Oh we acknowledge the trinity, "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one" 1Jn 5:7. These are things beyond minds of men, yet we teach these; for they are the wisdom of God. It's been taught for two thousand years now, saints have died proclaiming these truths, miracles have followed men as they proclaim these truths, they will remain truths for eternity. Rejoice dear brethren, we are in the fold, listen to the shepherd, obey his voice, and we will be home; safe and dry.

I am a daughter of Thy church, I die a child of the Catholic Church.....Teresa of Avila.

My Faith! My Pride!

Good morning brethren, a splendid day ahead to all.
