No one limits love to skin colour, they went searching and found trapped it in the pale skin
There's no problem with that
oh but eldee, i mean some people do. they say they can never marry outside their race or in other cases some deliberately avoid their race. I just wish people would marry for the right reason and not for stereotypes or an image.

Why limit love to a certain skin colour. Wherever you find it (love that is, not lust) keep it and cherish it.  cool

has nothing to do with being gay. I like to cross my legs especially when i think (subconsciously) and i'm as straight as a ramrod.

I don tire to tell my brothers o. If your shoes are bad, don't cross your legs. If your pant legs are afraid of the floor please don't cross your legs. If your socks are dirty . . . do you even need me to tell you?
LOL  grin Can't stand that either grin

RomanceRe: Ladies Who Kross Them Legs by syren: 6:54pm On Jul 09, 2008
I don't mind guys crossing their legs there is a masculine way to do it and it's very ladylike for women to cross their legs especially when wearing skirts  grin  I sat next to a guy  recently who had no respect for personal space. I understand your *cough* needs room but be considerate and don't spread them to far.  cool

@Gamine,

From my experience, the worst kind of women are bred in a home where the mother is divorced, has only girls (or a single girl) and pours all her vernomous hatred for the ex-husband into the heart of the daughter - with such words as "all men are dogs", "your father was no good", "your father abused me", "your father cheated on me". No sane man should marry a girl from such a home.

Statistically, men remarry at a higher rate than women, after a divorce. Hence, much of the bitterness of the divorce remains with the woman. Some of these women become eternally bitter, and raise daughters that no man should ever consider marrying.

I hope your situation does not fall into this category.
Well if the woman grows up to be sound minded she'll know that not all men are the same. I grew up that way but don't hate all men, just more cautious of them  cool

@ Gamine

Personally, i feel some situations aren't as bad as others. If your parents are divorced and you have to visit one during the holidays or something it's different to someone who's grown up without one parent completly absent from their life and the other could be alcholic or a drug addict. The first person is more likely to come out better off with the emotional support from both parents. People have been able to overcome it, Barack Obama is a perfect example. Then there are bad examples like Oprah who refuses to marry. Can't say it's directly because of how she grew up, but there's a chance.

It all depends on how you want to live your life.
If you allow the mistake of your folks to affect you, one will live with the negative side of it.
@ topic
Well said, don't use the mistakes your parents made as an excuse to continue the vicious cycle. Make a conscious effort not to repeat them as youv'e already seen the outcome. Plus there are different levels to what a "broken home" can be, it can be a mild situation to an extreme case. As for romance and relationships it can affect how some people treat or view the opposite sex or even same sex, sometimes for the good and at times for the bad.

So you really love am before? That is a classic 419 from men o.
"we still live together but we sleep in different rooms."
"It was all a mistake. I only wanted the child but our parents forced us to marry"
"I'm going to leave her but I want to get my acts together first"
etc etc.

You are lucky if (and only if) you can turn back at this point and find your level. If he did it to his present wife, your turn will surely come.
My sentiments exactly how can you be sure he wont do the same to you? Those kind of men never change. As soon as he gets bored he'll be out looking for somebody else, again.  cool
RomanceRe: Book Smart Or Street Smart by syren: 11:54am On Jul 09, 2008
eldee:
I'll choose streetsmart any day, if I had to choose one

When Ms Streetsmart has to meet an accountant tomorrow
She studies everything she needs to hold a conversation with him, I get the good deal
She can hold an interesting conversation with people of all trades

Streetsmart people get the booksmarts to do the jobs for them
Take a look at M.K.O's boardroom and see what I'm saying

The world has stopped looking for booksmart people now
Really, says who? huh the world will always need booksmart people, being street smart is also an advantage so if you have both, then youv'e made it. cool

Pray tell, what pattern could this be.

My parents being seperate dosnt mean i want the same for myselfor is it somewhere embedded that i don't know about?
That's quite true when you experience the effects first hand you do what you can to stop your children go through it. Strangely enough the cycle tends to repeat it self with some people?

Sagamite:
Definitely.

I am more courteous of women that come from broken homes because I have seen a pattern.
huh What pattern?

There is no reason why rational adults should stoop to such a level and hit their partners. If they feel this is the way to handle a dispute then they aren't mature enough to even be in a relationship. Either they have anger issues or they want a sense of control. Fear does not equal respect, your spouse may fear you but wont respect you.
As for being provoked, either way in society it's not a good look for a man to beat his wife and it's not an attractive trait in a women who hits her husband either.
RomanceRe: Why Do girls Prefer Qiute Guys. by syren: 11:00am On Jul 08, 2008
Some "quiet" guys are great, not all of them are painfully shy, they can be fun to hang out with on a one to one level. The louder ones are ok to but can sometimes be really obnoxious when they don't think before they speak. Big turn off! grin

in most instance qiute guys tend to carry away all the pretty girls. so why?
Ya mean the strong silent type not the shy type right?
