[quote author=GARRI (x7)]So they didn't publish ur article that's what you define as partisanship.... SMH

Your write up above doesn't show that you're someone who has the ability to logically articulate his thoughts. Even "Linda Ikeji" will throw your article in the dust-bin.
So quit whining!

Go back to the drawing board and try to hone your writing skills, else your article will be perpetually rejected while you keep Crying "marginalisation" as it's engraved in your DNA to always play the victim....

Good to see another writer expose all the distortions of truth, vague and unsubstantiated innuendos, and personal opinion as fact in Achebe's book! A lie is a balloon and truth is pin, thankfully the writer has deflated Achebe's lies!

Sincere 9gerian: Do-or-die, rofo-rofo and amala politics have already started in ACN controlled Lagos state. Those who have not seen improved power supply should transfer their aggression appropriately.
Buffoon of epic proportion!

thelastPope: How can he be uninterested in the performance of governors when that is a crucial component in his reelection bid? You clearly have no clue! If you think PDP just started strategizing after the merger, you have no clue of politics. These guys are always strategiszing, merger or no merger! And like I said before, they have come to realise that, unlike before, performance is seriously a part of that equation. The opposition is clearly making many assumptions! lol
He knows that the governors are the sole determinant on who wins the presidential primary, whether the governor is a performing one or not isn't the concern of one desperate to cling onto power! Whoever says the merger isn't giving PDP a heartache is the one with no clue on recent happenings! Like the chairman of the party stated in this article, the party is not sure of the allegiance of some of its governors up north and you claim they are strategising! Mtshew.
Politics › Re: 2015 Elections: How President Jonathan Will Demolish APC!! by takedat(m): 1:07pm On Feb 12, 2013
thelastPope: You clearly are not following the news! Just about a few months ago, GEJ had a meeting with PDP governors and told them to go and perform! That is why you see Uduaghan and Orji trying to start something! believe me when I say even PDP guys know that they cannot easily rig an election in Nigeria again, you can only rig by little margins. You cannot rig for example, a 20%-80% margin. you could rig maybe a 45%-55% margin or there about! The instruction within PDP is for their people to perform. Of course, that is not easy to achieve because the party is big and very diverse. But never forget that PDP still has about the best governors in Nigeria.
I posted yesterday's news, you're talking of some months back. This latest development is due to the panicky that has engulfed the PDP following the merger of opposition parties! As it is now, GEJ is uninterested in performance of the governors but on how he is able to consolidate on his chances of re-election.
Politics › Re: 2015 Elections: How President Jonathan Will Demolish APC!! by takedat(m):
thelastPope: Funny enough, it is the opposition that is making assumptions. PDP have made it clear to their members that they have to perform to win elections. That is why they didnt bother to rig Edo and Ondo elections. GEJ is president. If he really wanted to rig Edo or Ondo elections, he would have and the only thing that will happen is a long court case and plenty talk. PDP does not have to do anything in its power to rig any elections. You lot keep saying funny stuff on NL that is very far from the reality on the ground. Contrary to what you lot said, PDP came second in Ondo ahead of ACN! The so called Mega party is not even on the ground yet. The 2015 elections is PDP's to loose!
When was it made clear by PDP that their governor's return to office will be based on performance? Isn't it the same PDP that is considering the right of first refusal to its governors?
www.thisdaylive.com/articles/2015-primaries-pdp-considers-right-of-first-refusal-for-jonathan-govs/139128/

If PDP did not rig Edo and Ondo elections, it was because the president maintains a healthy relationship with Edo state governor like this article stated and the president himself confirmed during his media chat that Mimiko/LP is an offshoot of PDP!

Factors leading to 2015 will be the decider!
Politics › Re: 2015 Elections: How President Jonathan Will Demolish APC!! by takedat(m):
thelastPope: I never retracted. My original post wasnt talking about governorship elections. The topic is about presidential elections, not governorship. You brought in the governorship angle so I replied accordingly. The truth is, I will not make a 100 percent conclusions on an election that is still over 2 years away. So so much can happen in 2 years! If the power supply hits 10000 mega watts and becomes up to 80 percent stable by 2014, then GEJ is going to have an easy one in 2015. The real battle is the north that wants the power back. It is sad that they are still trying to take us back to the stone age. Until the north stops thinking that presidency is their birthright and that government is the best business, we will continue to have big issues in Nigeria. My joy however is that the north is now fully divided. They have cut of the north central and big chunks of the north east. But a northern candidate will have a big uphill task in 2015. The SS, SE, NC, and at least half of SW will not vote for a northern candidate!
No need going back and forth on governorship election! If GEJ is able to deliver most of his campaign promises, all the permutations against him comes to nought as Nigerians will overwhelmingly vote him back to power but if not, bros forget, the man will be ferried down to Otueke in a boat to continue with his fisherman lifestyle!

thelastPope: In 2011, Fashola got about 1.4m votes, PDP candidate who was really very unpopular still got about 300k votes. I voted Fashola. It was a no brainer against the funny PDP candidate. In the presidential election, it was a different cup of tea! We are still 2 years away from 2015 and I can state boldly that Fashola has lost half of those 1.4m voters. That was evident in the last LGA elections. Govenorship and presidential elections have different patterns, so I will not claim categorically that PDP will win Lagos in the governorship. It will depend largely on who they present! But the presidential is a different arrangement. Fashola or Buhari will not win the Lagos votes in a presidential election. Forget the propaganda on NL. Buhari is a bad sell and Fashola has been brewing bad blood.
I like how you have retracted from your earlier stance that PDP's gubernatorial candidate will win Lagos! If the Governorship and Presidential elections have different patterns, the same to should apply with Governorship and Local government elections! On Fashola loosing half of his support base, I will classify that as conjecture cos it is also based on NL Igbos anti-Fashola's posture! Whether Buhari or Fashola will win Lagos is determinant on so many factors!

Gbawe: 100% correct. Note he does the same thing below that you have called him out for here. I really despair for Nigeria when so many adults lack sophistication and independent minds to the extent a callous and blatantly crude mischief-maker can 'yank their chain' so easily. As you correctly infer, there is no guarantee at all GEJ will even get the PDP ticket let alone be in a position to "crush" anyone. Anyway, let us leave the kids to 'excite' themselves under the brainwashing of the deceitful Pied Piper i.e insincere9gerian. The reality, when it is upon us, will surprise many.

thelastPope: ACN only narrowly won Ogun and Oyo because of a split in the PDP camp. If the PDP had not split, they would have won Ogun and Oyo easily. If they get their acts together, they will still get Ogun and Oyo easily and they will win Lagos, guaranteed! The Lagos indigenes cannot deliver Lagos to APC. Their population is too small to guarantee that! If GEJ contest, he will win Lagos again just like the last time! Only Osun and Ekiti are sure for ACN/APC
You premised this on the 2011 elections calculation. Well my brother, the tide has turned. The PDP in SW is more demoralised than it was in 2011.

On Lagos voting a PDP governor, they stand a good chance when hell freezes over! Any other irrelevant party with a good candidate may unseat ACN but surely not PDP.

On GEJ winning Lagos, we shall see when the time comes!

Sincere 9gerian: About the southwest, the report states "The source said by the calculation of the PDP, the party will at least score the mandatory 25 per cent in the South-west states and more than 60 per cent in Ondo State"
No sensible person will disagree with this VERY CONSERVATIVE permutation.
Slow your roll! I was replying @Teskyg who claimed GEJ would win the SW!
Politics › Re: 2015 Elections: How President Jonathan Will Demolish APC!! by takedat(m): 11:03am On Feb 12, 2013
teskyg: PDP will win in the South West too.Recall,Salami gave Action Congress some advantage. He is now in the cooler. We will campaign and vote GEJ here in the South West who have now compare Action Congress and PDP and now know better.APC will not carry the day in the South West.
PDP will win in the SW? You've got a snowballs chance in hell!

@Topic, this permutation is unconvincing. The Only predictable permutation is the SS and SE votes going to GEJ, all others are unpredictable for now!

Jonathan's allegiance to his godfathers is uppermost,he relies on them for his return to power. 2015 is more important to him than a fu*king trophy!

Jonathan should do away with those thieving gasbags in his cabinet and get competent hands, if truly he wants to fulfil his transformation agenda
His first 11 are mostly quacks and colossal oafs excluding a few!
