ifihearam: do you know how much past administrations budgeted on the railways but nothing to show for? why can you people appreciate good things when you see one. We are not saying we are there yet,but at least not where we used to be.GEJ is working day and night to ensure he brings to fruition what he promised and instead of you people to appreciate his kind gestures for the little so he does more you are busy ranting like those from banana republic.
If I am from banana republic, then you will be the mango people. My concern is not on how much past administrations spent on rehabilitating the railways. Here we are talking of efficient management, if a coach meant for 200 passengers convey 500 passengers, be sure it wouldn't last long and government will need to buy another one with more tax payers fund. Railway was in existence in the 80's, the same complaint now was its albatross then before it went comatose. Do you advise we keep up with mediocrity because you want to shout fresh air. Government should get its act right.

For those lambasting the @Op for sharing his experience, others too have noticed the poor service delivery that may threaten the little achievement gained and the billions of Naira spent on revitalising the rail system. Its time government take appropriate measures to see that it doesn't go moribund otherwise those shouting transformation now will be the first to blame government.

What is worth doing is worth doing well. If the Government has decided to rehabilitate rail transport, its pertinent that it gets the management right. The reason why rail system went comatose in time past was because of what the @Op experienced.

Shame on all unpatriotic Nigerians!

Shame on a leadership that demands attitudinal change from his followers, while he is immersed in corruption.

Shame on all clannish folks who find no fault in bad leadership provided their kinsman is in position of authority.

Shame on all those who label people who critique the government as haters.

Shame on a leadership that unleashes attack dogs instead of unleashing Facts.

Shame on all those who allow these greedy and crooked leaders create ethno-religious dichotomy amongst us, while they(leaders) ensure ethno-religious unity in looting our patrimony.

Shame on those who see no wrong in a visionless government.

Shame on all unpatriotic Nigerians!

Ok! I join you to say shame on all unpatriotic Nigerians, those bad mouthing the country and those who have delayed our redemption by selling out to corrupt politicians. If our redeeming grace as a Nation has been delayed, it is because of people like "them" who have cheaply sold themselves to visionless rulers in the corridors of power in exchange for wealth and positions that they will never enjoy in peace!

More names to come but the above names quickly came to mind.
Whatever you do, don't take the above people serious, they're only here to further the cause of Tinubu.
The above sleezeball, featherbrained poster is saddened that some of us have chosen not to be GEJ's obsequious fawner, hence labelling us as ACN paid activists. We all know the political contractors in a PPP(pay per post) arrangement with government. Yeye dey Smell!

Godless 419ners in the garb of men of God, how does this unnecessary rant promote ecumenism and unity of the Christian churches? If CAN is not up in arms against the Catholic, it will be a bitter diatribe against Bakare, while the thieves called rulers crowned by the same hypocritical leadership of CAN continues the looting spree. Its time other forthright denominations review their stands in CAN.
Politics › Re: Will The Yorubas Vote Buhari? by takedat(m): 6:33am On Feb 06, 2013
Roseart: Dude stop being clueless, you know exactly what I was referring to. There is nothing wrong with a former military personal running for office, plenty of them do in the US. But which one in the US has overthrown the US government?

Militar ruler as in authoritarian rule stop being dumber than usual. Being the leader of the Army is not even remotely the same as being the leader of a military junta which is what I was referring to. I even made the same point in greater detail in the same damn post:

Here is the definition for your benefit:

A junta or military junta (pron.: /ˈhʊntə/ or /ˈdʒʌntə/) is a government led by a committee of military leaders. The term derives from the Spanish word junta meaning committee or meeting, specifically a board of directors. Sometimes it becomes a military dictatorship, though the terms are not synonymous.

Nigeria
1966–1979 1983–1998 Military juntas

Buhari was in office when: June 1978 – July 1978

Hmm are you seeing a pattern numb nuts grin

You quoted me, I didn't quote you so its not my fault you are too dumb to understand my point. I blame your mother, but christ the woman has suffered enough with the shame of birthing you. grin

And to make sure my point is clear here is what I also said:

Like I said your mother was a dumb broad who brought an equal dumb son into this world. Have a nice day dumb bastard cool
File that under who gives a shi.t! like this balderdash you wrote validate your earlier assertion that "Only in Nigeria is a former military ruler a top candidate" as if it doesn't happen elsewhere.

I'll rather not take serious what a twatlips, bastard son of a cumdumpster says. Well, go nuts for all I care. Assmonkey, have a field day jerking off on this thread!

Is this the latest assignment given to non-Yoruba's to dissuade Yorubas from voting the candidate of their choice? Yorubas are unprejudiced and unbigoted, so this unsubstantiated post means nothing to them. When the time comes we will vote for the candidate of our choice!

Sincere 9gerian: You just raised an important issue but you may want to open another thread for that rather than derail this thread. If you do, I'll GLADLY join issues with you there. Thank you in advance.
Why open a different thread when we can trash it here? Since you are trying to address GEJ's performance, it will be good to evaluate the performance in relation with the allocations received to give a pass mark.
Politics › Re: Will The Yorubas Vote Buhari? by takedat(m):
Toto Licker: Name one retired military ruler who later became American president? Why do you always try to be smart alec? Epic fail with your analogy.
Silly, I wrote "including US where retired military 'general' became president".
Politics › Re: Will The Yorubas Vote Buhari? by takedat(m):
Roseart: No not really because I pretty much pointed out how flawed your logic was. Buhari and Eisenhower were both generals but the latter did not overthrow his government dumbas.s.

Comparing apples to your mother clearly.

In many countries they actually bar former military junta leaders from holding office after the return to democracy. How many high level Nazi members were ruling Germany after WWII?

I'd call you a monkey but that's not fair to the monkeys.
Stop conflicting yourself, I only made mention of US where "retired military general" ended up as president, referencing that former generals can aspire to become president and that there are other countries where military rulers eventually became civilian president. Unlike you who wrote "Only in Nigeria is a military ruler a top candidate". Go back to my post to clarify your foolishness.

Have former military rulers been barred from contesting in Nigeria? No, so why use examples of other countries to judge Nigeria.

I'll refrain from making similitude with your mother and would have called you a gecko cos your brain is nowhere as developed as that of mammals.
Politics › Re: Will The Yorubas Vote Buhari? by takedat(m): 10:21pm On Feb 05, 2013
Roseart: Yes because Eisenhower overthrew the American government before he ran for office.

Im sure your write up sounded so much smarter in your head than on the screen.
Did my post hit a nerve? Just wanted to clarify your flawed submission that it is only in Nigeria where such will happen. Sorry I did not know you have shi.t for brains!
Politics › Re: Will The Yorubas Vote Buhari? by takedat(m): 10:11pm On Feb 05, 2013
Roseart: Only in Nigeria is a military ruler a top candidate grin and the people saying it claim they have sense.

By voting Buhari in effect you show the world that Nigerians are so rutterless that the leader of a military junta is a top pick.

Brilliant.
There are many countries in the world where former military rulers ended up as civilian president including a country like US where retired generals later became president. So your point that its only in Nigeria where you have former military rulers aspiring to become civilian presidents is flawed. The question is, is he qualified? And that is a Yes. Are there people who will vote for him? Which is also Yes.

All I know is that we need deliverance from a government that cannot deliver. If Buhari is the right man for the job, each will decide knowing that Yorubas are independent, open-minded and enlarged in spirit. Baseless sentiments is not ours!
