When a government resort to blowing trumpet through its praise singers, it shows it is lacking in a band. Are these your listed achievements of GEJ in proportion with the amount appropriated for capital projects in his time as president which is N3.85trillion and considering that work started on some of the listed projects before GEJ. Capital expenditure 2012: N1.5trillion " ” 2011: N1.01trillion ” ” 2010: N1.34trillion You can't always fool everyone! |
Okupe is a life time dumbass, his arguments are always based on emotion, buck passing and blame game. Its no one's fault that government praise singers have been able to convince many on government's "mouth performance" , No wonder the opposition now assumes a larger than life posture when it became obvious that those in Government are featherbrained masquerades and jokers |
Not too optimistic. I'll rather wait to see the sincerity of APGA and ANPP before commending the merger. |

So the Mosun-Ade's and the other bum have ended up derailing this thread. BRB! |
taharqa: 'Intervening with billions of dollars'?? Dats hw d rumour starts b4 propagandists get a hold of it....@topic, France's securing of d Uranium mines isn't rili economic, its SECURITY. You do not want terroists and oda rogue state/nonstate actors to get access to URANIUM, bliv me you rili do not. For those of you who do not know, Uranium is usd to build Atomic bombs. Nuff said.thanks, its billions of naira. |
Omexonomy: If the subsidy report is implemented petrol will sell for 150 per litter. The report is advocating for the total removal of subsidy Having said that please GBAWE TAKE DAT DEMDEMMORON and the rest of the ACN Foot soldier on this st.upi.d and frudulent forum called nairaland kindly stop drinking raw enthanol and stop smoking ganger it wont do you any good in this life.Featherbrained eediot without knowledge of the report's recommendations. Ignorant arrogant fool! |
^^^ How can a lady be this foolish and jejune? It is people like you who encourages the lackadaisical attitude of those in government and are very comfortable with maladministration so far your bread is buttered. For a committee that was given two weeks time-frame to submit a white paper that would make the recommendations in the report implementable, yet three months after nothing is heard and you dare label those willing to ask why as propagandists. You need to have your head examined! The setting up of those committees were to serve as Red herrings. Apart from the Ribadu report, nothing is been done to the Orosanye's report on civil service reform and many others. GEJ doesn't have the political will, to grandstand is all that matters to him! |
@Garri x7 and @Max, and you guys wholeheartedly believe it will solely be private sector driven because a government official said so? I like your optimism. @Max, a beautiful structure built on weak foundation can only be managed for a while, it will eventually collapse. that is supposedly if we get the right people in government as you prescribed but as it is right now with these morally deficient folks, its a case of weak foundation and a weaker structure. Nigerians need to sit down and talk, now or in the future otherwise Nigeria will eventually collapse! |
its interesting that an ibo man who deserts his land to go anywhere in chase of money is reluctant to travel far in pursuit of education. pointless B.
Touche! |
@Negro, I concur with your assertion. Isn't it a shame that Nigeria with its financial and military support in mediating and peace keeping missions in Africa and especially West Africa is not leading the AFISMA group. When the UN resolution supporting the foreign militarism in Mali stated that it should be a joint effort between the Malian troops and AFISMA and here is France, taking the lead with Nigeria relegated to the back after supporting the intervention with billions of naira and with no economic gains in return. |
Good to hear this though; Buhari and GEJ. But Mr. President how many Nigerians are in support of the centenary celebration? Is that what we need right now, considering the growing differences and mistrust among the various religious, ethnic and tribal groups in Nigeria? This celebration is another avenue to squander public funds. The best centenary gift would be to have a genuine National Conference where our differences could be sorted out. |
It is normal for France to secure its economic interest and to protect French citizens living in West Africa, Malians and their neighbours from Jihadists. You do not expect France not to protect its economic interest knowing fully well that the easiest way for the Jihadists to get back at them is to strike at the mining facilities which will also be harmful to Mali's economy. On Nigeria's incursion into Mali because of the belief that it is where BH commanders are, and also where there are trained, to me doesn't sound justifiable. Its a known fact that the command structure of the Islamists groups leading the Malian Rebels and with ties to BH; AQIM and MOJWA in particular are dominated by Algerians and Mauritanians. These groups are perceived as foreign invaders, motivated by racism and greed as well as a perverted view of their faith. So if France and AFISMA are successful in driving them out of Mali, it doesn't mean that their operation ceases to exist because their organisational base is in the Magreb and all they have to do is pitch their tent elsewhere. Nigeria with its porous borders may be at the receiving end of it all. IMHO! |
Sincere 9gerian: Nothing is wrong with us. Many of these persons are HATERS, who simply HATE the person of the president because of one sentiment or the other. Some are paid to criticise and find faults. The later category of persons are just doing their job.How many people were you expecting to be interviewed to get a more balanced perspective on the state of power supply? Are those tweets and facebook comments not from Nigerians? Or were they sent by Tinubu and Buhari? It is people like you that express frivolous primordial sentiments that the people who voted in GEJ hates him because of one sentiment to another. I do not blame you because you seem to benefit from government largesse so everyone who says contrary to the view you hold about GEJ are termed Haters. |
Its not as if government did anything special, we've just been lucky that the prices of crude oil in the international market remains high and our production is relatively stable. The bottom line is how the reserve will not be squandered by a profligate government and thieving governors. |
KokoBeware: But she left out this part which I think justified his statementIf this was what he said without challenging her boastfully to go on the streets of Lagos to confirm, it would have been fair but he made a blanket statement of a general improvement, hence the public uproar after the interview. Hope the privatisation solves the problem though, because Nigerians will still take him up if the promise of the year ending doesn't materialise! |
taharqa: Just watched the programme Now and am DISGUSTED at the extremely 'bad Journalism' that she put together in that short clip. The truth is a lot of Nigerians are yet to see the improvement in power supply especially those in the rural areas. Because power supply has greatly improved where you reside doesn't mean it has elsewhere and you weren't expecting those interviewed to say yes when its a no for them. The president erred when he made a categorical statement that power has improved and everyone would testify to that, he could have simply stated how much megawatts the government has added and that the reforms will yield the desired result. The handlers of GEJ are his biggest enemies. Bros, you will grow grey hair and hunch back while expecting Amanpour to get sacked for what you call bad journalism. |
The PR company handling GEJ's interview with foreign media outlets failed to pay Amanpour hence she decided to deride the overly performing and amazing GEJ's government, but trust Maku, Omokri, Okupe and Abati to label her from being opposition sponsored to a wicked step-mother and her having limited knowledge in journalism. Abati's new article will be on the "Hypocrisy of Today's Foreign Journalists". Though there is a slight improvement but not many Nigerians can testify to that. Anyway the truth will always prevail over falsehood! |
akintun: Dis is wat dey should have done a long time ago instead of just giving dem free money. Becos of d risky nature of d business, d gov should make d loan long term, maybe about 30 to 50 years.Forget it, the aviation intervention fund provided by the government is about a 16year facility. This plan still has a lot of hiccups! |
Hmm Comrade Garri no mind them ![]() |
Confused people, this is an after thought following the public uproar on their initial plans to purchase 30 aircrafts for the airline operators. We will wait for the next two years supposedly if there are buying brand new. |
Sincere 9gerian: I say it the way it is without fear or favour. El Rufai is obviously the number one critic of GEJ. That blasphemous tweet was an embarrassment on his person as far as I'm concerned. The moderators, SUPER MODS or whatever tried to do damage control on that faithful day by waiting until apology was ready before moving BOTH the apology and the initial blasphemous tweet to the front page. The overwhelming condemnation on El-Rufai's blasphemous tweet cuts across political party lines and has nothing to do with him being a GEJ's enemy or not. Since when have others complained to the mods/admin on any of your anti-ACN/CPC threads? Do you forget that threads sponsored by you have graced the FP on numerous occasion? Do you know there are many important news beneficial for all but failed to make it to the FG? Even if I accept that the @mods decision to dig up an old thread to counter a new one was uncalled for, it still doesn't make them bias after all someone dug up the thread to show Abati's double faced character and the old thread had never graced the FP before. Leave the mods/admin to do their job and if you still feel unsatisfied, you can move to NaijaPundits the same way you left Punch and Sahara Reporters! |
@DonChris, please stop this crazy obsession of yours with @Berem, on another thread you called Linda Ikeji a witch. Its either you are a rump-ranger or a pathetic chauvinist! |
henrysam: Your head is too correct. How many of these fraudulent acts were exposed during OBJ regime. It is only when you fall out with him OBJ that he will use EFCC to nab you. Obj theory then was chop and clean mouth and be smart about it, if you re caught I don't know you.You guys should stop portraying GEJ like a president held hostage. He rode to power on a transformation mantra, if he feels OBJ and his people were corrupt he should bring them to book. All these silly excuses means nothing! |
@Sincere9gerian, what has El-Rufai's blasphemous tweet got to do with Pro-GEJ and Anti-GEJ. Some of us knew you guys were only interested in scoring cheap political point and that those rants weren't faith related. On Abati's threads, the mods should offer an explanation. I do not know much about OAM4J's political leaning but I know Afam isn't ACN/CPC, so your spurious accusation that the mods are bias is false! |
taharqa: This is the exact excerpt from the report on what Cameron said (plz, pay particular attention to his exact words in " "Thank God you wrote it was "your interpretation" to Cameron's submission which does not necessarily mean you are right nor wrong. What are the necessary moves taken by this administration to clean up the oil and gas industry? As at today, the PIB still remains unpassed. The Ribadu report white paper committee has taken longer than expected, the Idika Kalu's report, KPMG and their recommendations which does not need legal amendment to check the fraud in the industry but the president's order such as stop the selling our crude oil allocation at cut down price and start selling directly to the refineries, stopping NNPC from making illegal withdrawal at source and many others. The country still losses billions of dollar to government officials and their economic saboteur cronies. Reasons why Cameron through the G8 used Nigeria as a Case in Point! How many government officials who connived with the subsidy thieves have been sacked or prosecuted? the PPPRA chairman during the fraud is aspiring to be PDP's BOT chairman, the executive secretary is still there The opaque dealings in NNPC continue as ever. Even the local content law still remains to be adhered to by operators. Government's performance should be felt by the citizenry and not through the mouth of publicists! |
Don't tell me you guys are already admitting defeat. Here comes the Abati and Okupe mentality where every cry is about the opposition, so much for a Chronic Sympathy Troller!@Mods, please give special consideration to threads sponsored by political parties and government goons! |
Is this a Pastor?
No he is not. Since you're dumb and a half how would you know. She-Mugun! Hope the priests who befriend thieves would seek reliable guidance in forming their conscience. May the Lord guide and protect PTB! |
Paid Attack Dogs¿ Reminds me of some folks here, but the irony is that majority of the(dogs) are in the camp of Reno (the number one political contractor). |
Maxymilliano: May be you should explain what you meant by 'N300billion' aviation intervention fund. Are you trying to say you are unaware of the N300billion intervention fund and how it was misapplied and diverted to private coffers? Ok, think Jimoh Ibrahim and others. www.thenigerianvoice.com/nvnews/93082/1/n300bn-aviation-intervention-fund-was-diverted-sen.html sunnewsonline.com/new/business/ceon300bn-aviation-fund-wrongly-applied-akpan/ We all know that the controversial reserves was squandered together with the state governors. What we need from the FG is a detailed account of how the monies were shared through the CBN and finance ministry and what the monies were used for. On the $1billion from the ECA, What can we do when the governors sees the president as a Doormat? He should learn how to handle the governors! |
