Politics › Re: Jonathan “very Worried” About Crude Oil Theft In Niger Delta – Alison-madueke by takedat(m): 6:49pm On Feb 20, 2013
How many of the influential Nigerians, mostly his SS brothers who are enmeshed in this act of criminality with mutual connivance of the foreign buyers, security agencies and some of the IOC's top hierarchy have been arrested or prosecuted? Yet, he needs foreign assistance when he cannot put his house in order! Yeye dey Smell!
Politics › Re: Jonathan Agreed To Be One-term President – Obasanjo by takedat(m):
gunuvi: Well, it may not be visible to everyone but most parties around the world uses their party manifestos and internal agreement more often in their governance and its what's its in their manifestoes that determine how they operate and their priority.
You mention a party you know that doesn't respect their intenal arrangements. Even in the US. Are you aware that even in the US, it was before Obama second term election that most people already know that Clinton will not be returned as John Kerry has already been agreed months before. For instance, Fashola almost lost his second term in Lagos due to party mechanism and Tinubu not till dine minute.
Its a normal situation and I am not saying that GEJ should not contest what I am saying is if that's what they agreed in their party and he was part of it then he should keep his promise and agreement.
That's the problem with Nigeria and lots of democracy, people makes different promises including bogus ones of what they will do and later not keep to it, if you ask me, I will mention many that most of our leaders made and I don't even think they remember it again.
Yeah, I know the president is a weasel, schemer and a promise breaker but I am all for what the constitution says. Even if he decides not to keep to his earlier promise, there are lots of obstacles awaiting him before he will be re-elected!
Politics › Re: Jonathan Agreed To Be One-term President – Obasanjo by takedat(m):
gunuvi: Every party in the world have their own internal arrangement that overrides the country's constitution.
Over to you GEJ! Where did u debunked the one term agreement in 2011 after OBJ made this statement cos I know you were there when Baba made this statement. At least this is not yesterday statement.
Give examples of stable democracies where a party's internal arrangement overrode the constitution! What then is the need for a constitution which should be sacred when a gentlemanly agreement among a selected few can override it? This is not an attempt to exonerate a president whom obviously is not a man of his word!

PDP is the albatross of our democracy. If the constitution allows for the president to run a two 4 year term in office, why should a party's internal pact override the constitution? Its now a battle between a devious and desperate president against that of a sectional and self-serving ambitious party members, all treasury looters and none with the interest of Nigerians at heart!
Politics › Re: Oshiomhole Wont Use State Resources For Good Governance Tour by takedat(m): 3:11pm On Feb 20, 2013
thelastPope: You are very very very wrong here. Even in the USA, government takes care of the media depending on the kind of event, of course not in all events. Your only argument should be in the numbers. If Oshiomole is complaining about the numbers, that is a different thing altogether. There is nothing like "fundamental constitutional objective of upholding the responsibility and accountability of the government to the people of Nigeria". The news media goes around to get news content they can sell and make money. But when it comes to propagating the government activities to the public, the government has to fund it.
If it is the role of the government to fund the GGT, you shouldn't expect a balanced and qualitative assessment of the projects, especially as the saying of he who pays the piper dictates the tune."The sweetness and strength of the fine wine gulped during the tour" will surely influence the journalists report. The GGT will never be called an independent. And objective assessment, when it is the governors that foots the bill! Read section 22 of the Nigerian constitution; "The press, radio
, television and other agencies of the mass media shall at all times be free to uphold the fundamental objectives contained in this chapter and uphold the responsibility and accountability of the government of the government to the people." It did not say that members of the media shall be ferried and catered for by government officials while exercising their duty!
Politics › Re: Oshiomhole Wont Use State Resources For Good Governance Tour by takedat(m):
Arobam: You see how foolish you sound? The bolded contradicts you and highlights your I.mbecility. The same mass media forms a huge chunk of the 120 members that you are tearing your pants about.
Every newspaper has a correspondent in the tour including NTA and other TV stations. You have a phobia for learning so you may not notice the daily coverage of the tour on our national dailies. simply put, Oshiomhole is saying that he cannot accommodate pressmen who came to evaluate his performance in office.

I will not even join issues with you on your allegations of my imaginary involvement in the tour. I seriously desire to be part of the tour so that i would not have time to Be gossiping with fools like you on this forum.
lol @the muddle-headed bootlicker who feels it is the responsibility of the governor to cater for the members of the media who are carrying out their fundamental constitutional objective of upholding the responsibility and accountability of the government to the people of Nigeria!

Those with an IQ of less than 29 shouldn't be allowed on this forum, especially you; for displaying such a high level of crass idiocy!

Arobam: Listen to yourself. What is a charade? If FG says they have built a power plant at Ihouvbour, Edo state you will be one of those who will rush to this forum and deny it. you will ask them to show you proof and claim its all govt propaganda.

Today, we have a Minister that has resolved to go beyond mere talking to visit projects sites and ascertain the level of work done. And yet you call it a charade? You are an embarrassment to this our generation and a shameless paid hireling of undignified ancestry.
If you had little common sense left in that your empty skull, you would have availed yourself of this opportunity (like me)to know exactly the true state of these projects that FG keeps disturbing our ear drums about.
We know what is a charade. Obviously not the projects that Maku has been showing us live and direct nor the citizens forum that is aired on National television in each state visited.
Shut the fuq up, Numpty! Is the GGT jamboree the best way to promote independent assessment of how the process of governance takes place in Nigeria? The constitution empowers the mass media to uphold the responsibility and accountability of the government to the people, but it does not state that members of the media shall be ferried and catered for by the government for a "guided" assessment or governance tour. If the saying that he who pays the piper dictates the tune holds true, then nothing objective can be derived from the jamborees!

I'm not surprised you are taking sides with the tour, since you are a member of the 120 hungry, trash talking tool crumbies. Asswipe!
Politics › Re: Oshiomhole Wont Use State Resources For Good Governance Tour by takedat(m): 1:21pm On Feb 20, 2013
GGT- teleguided inspection of selected and predetermined projects! Meaningless jamboree and media stunt! Thank you Comrade Governor, we know it is all a charade!

The good governance tour jamboree should be stopped. Good governance is not these tea parties, Owambe-motivated media tour led by Liebaran. We need a balanced and qualitative independent assessment!

Yellow journalism thrives because of the easily taken in and credulous readers! How come they couldn't provide any link or insight detailing how Fashola effected the payment? Are we just to believe a farfetched story from an unreputable blog that is only interested in sensationalising lies?

Sorry sir if you did burst a nerve because of my post. The initial title of this thread before the admin corrected it was "only death can stop me from contesting the 2015 election", which is quite different from "I will never quit politics as far as I live".
Don't be an attention seeking puma next time!

Politics › Re: Catholics Move To Tear CAN Apart by takedat(m): 10:05am On Feb 19, 2013
I believe that other genuine Christian denominations should also pull out of CAN. The current leadership of CAN is gradually introducing schism into the body of Christ through political patronage and dalliance with corrupt persons, makes a big ridicule of what Christianity stands for!
Politics › Re: Buhari: 'I Will Never Quit Politics As Far As I Live' by takedat(m):
@Op, what a mischievous title we have here all thanks to partisan media manipulation, but I do not blame them cos they know most readers have a limited attention span!

Where in the body or heart of the reportage did he say that "death is the only thing that can stop him from contesting 2015 election?"

I agree with you that he shouldn't waste his money cos' he won't be voted for, rather he should bankroll you, since Musiwa is the most influential figure in Nigeria according to satellite pictures

yet every ward in lagos, without exception has a giwa (muslim title for head of family) and they still all worked together..

look at this picture, the practice continues till today when the giwas hold council meetings with Oba of Lagos. Last two Obas were christians, yet they worked together.

thank God, im a Yoruba in this country.[/quote]God bless you! Those trying to instil animosity between the Yoruba muslims and christians are bound to fail! We've been living peacefully before we came in contact with the intruders, and in no way would they be allowed to bring dissension between us!
