makydebbie: If a true and open minded feminist disagrees with this op's writeup, then I'm disappointed!
The younger generation has made feminism look like a joke and that is true! Very true! You all can't deny that some of your feminism mates are dry jokes and that's what the op is on about.
Our forefathers and mothers, who understood the original purpose of what feminism represents, have fought and paid dearly for this noble cause. This is where everything went wrong with feminism. Different reasons, definitions, opinions on one subject, causing divisiveness. The feminism that I recall from my researches and readings was supposed to be joyous. It was about expanding women's choices, and providing equality for both gender for effectiveness in our daily activities. So that both sexes get to enjoy the bliss of aspiring as high as one's purpose and dreams take one. So that no one is restricted from fulfilling his/her potentials in society.
In the end, what matters is that we are all human beings, and equal in our humanness.
Turn a blind eye to it, not like you haven't been acting blind since anyway. Sense wee not kee this beauty. Today's feminists are funny until they try to prove why they're feminists then they're hilarious. |

iamJ: feminism can be translated as an intelligent, successful woman that deserves respect, if Americans can welcome feminism, na undeveloped gutter country like una person wan dey reason, if Nigerians get sense we for dey see am since Jude, you make sense most times but there is something you keep repeating in your comments that you really need to stop. All these America did this, America did that doesn't make sense. Stop being fooled by the Media. If America is feminized as you claim then why did they massively vote for a man who treats women like trash? Someone who believes that it is ok to grab them by their pussy even though his opponent was a woman, a fellow feminist?. Also, why do every American keep saying that America will be great again? Does that not tell you that something has gone wrong since they started accepting everything? Now talking about modern feminism in America, 85% of American women want equal rights but fewer than 1 in 5 people want feminism. In Uk, only 1 in 9 women identify with feminists but 95% of women over there want equal rights. They embraced it initially but they have seen what it can cause so they're rejecting it, we africans ought to learn from their mistakes. Like I said initially, you're smart and can win arguments without all this America nonsense. Check below link if you doubt the starts up there http://www.thefashionglobe.com/feminism-today |

Feminism was a movement of profound importance, securing the extension of natural rights to women, but its modern incarnation is something else.
Their focus is marriage, everything about them is anti marriage and that's why a lot of married people are walking corpses who, due to gross psychological and emotional abuses, have become empty shells waiting to drop.
I do not want to talk about Africa's version of Feminism, especially Nigeria version because it is filled with double standards. They're presenting women as perpetual miserable victims and men are always the oppresors even when it is clear that women mistreat women than men.
This has made many to stop clamoring for equal rights and start attacking men. They're opportunists, they only want equality where it favors them. They support sexism where it favors them.
All these are good news though because they have successfully put feminism on self termination and it is gradually heading to extinction.
A lot of people support equal rights these days but only a few want to identify with feminists, that should tell you something.
Give Today's feminists men's wealth and strenght and they will campaign for total annihilation of men. |

chaarly: i can try. There are so many ways to cook coconut rice. it depends on who's telling you. everybody have their own style.
This is the way i cooked mine during last year's thanksgiving day november 23rd (i'm not From the US but i celebrated it anyway)
ingredients: Rice coconut (the qty u wnna use depends on the amount of rice you wnna cook) tin tomatoes Maggi, salt, crayfish, fresh pepper carrot, green beans, green peas, onions chicken
steps: 1) break your coconut, remove the water (u can either drink it or can use it for the cooking) 2) grate the coconut. (if you don't have a grater, you can use a blender to blend with warm water. but the grating comes out better) 3) soak the grated cocunut in a sizable amount of hot water for some minutes 4) sieve the water extract from the chaff (if you added too much hot water, the extract would be watery but if the amount of water is okay the extract would be very thick coupled with the cocunut oil) 5) parboil your rice 6) seive the rice and leave the rice in the seive 7) put grondnut oil in the pot( a very little qty. so as not to make it too oily coz of the oil in the cocnut) 8. fry tintomatoes with onions and salt till you're okay the sour taste is gone 9) add the parboiled rice and stir with a wooden spoon 10) add your maggi, salt, pepper, crayfish, stir 11) add the coconut extract into the rice, stir (the qty of the coconut extract you'll add depends on the level of the softness of the rice. ps. dont over parboil the rice. this is to allow the coconut extract get a good grip of the rice. coconut rice. 12) allow it boil to a certain level or till the water is almost dried. (ps. taste to know if the maggi, salt, pepper is okay to you) 13) add ur carrot, green peas, green beans, onions 14) cover the pot, allow til its done. 15) deep fry, barbecue or roast your chicken 16) serve with wine, fruit juice or soft drink (please dont eat coconut rice and drink pure water. it is an insult to coconut rice)
ps. you dont necessarily have to use tin tomatoes for your coconut rice. you can do without it and it will still taste very nice! on this particular day i jst decided to try it out and it still came out nice.
the pic is a throwback of last yrs thanksgiving coconut rice, chicken and wine Makydebbie do you know how to prepare this? |
